Okay the thing is, all this started with effect from 1 Jan 2015.
They merely offer an optional paid 2 year warranty.

Basically they charge you extra for it.

Take that metal strip to the showroom where you got your bike, show that metal strip to them and order a new set of keys. you will get a new set of original keys for your bike. No need for duplicate keys. I am not sure about how much they will cost (certainly, a bit higher than the duplicate ones), but you will be getting original keys.
        hope this helps. Ride safe.
Yeah I have that strip. Thank you very much...Cheers!!

If you are looking for cruise capabilities in 3 digit speeds with no stress on engine, you ought to be looking at CBR250R and Duke 390. Check the threads, might be helpful!

Since RE has launched Himalayan can we port the console and wind shield of Himalayan to Thunderbird
Hi there, Does the button in concern Click In and Out properly when you operate it? If yes then Before opening the console, you may have some luck trying to look at the wiring diagrams and looking for broken/open/short contacts with the associated circuit as well as a faulty flasher unit.

I have never tried opening the console, but have had loose connectors and faulty flasher (i dont know the exact name, but I hope you understand what i mean) unit giving similar trouble on another bike.

                Hi Kush,

I had the same issue, it's due to your new disc brake pads. The pads aren't rough yet and hence u may get the screeching sound when u brake. Try getting the brake pads roughened up a bit with sand paper(ask the service centre guys to help) and it should substantially reduce the sound.

                Hope it helps!!

                  Hi Kush,

The warranty is for 2yrs...I bought the bike in October 2015 and I have the 2yrs warranty mentioned in the manual, basically it's a sticker with my vehicle details and 2yrs warranty mentioned on it . These stickers are on each page of my servicing coupons and also on the first page. Get it checked at your showroom, may be they have forgotten putting these stickers in your manual.

                  Hope it helps!!

I own Royal enfield Thunderbird 350.Recently I am facing a strange problem. In the beginning of my ride bike behaves proper but after riding 50 -60 km ,as soon as I accelerate, bike jerks as fuel not reached engine. It happens only at the beginning of throttle(edge of off-on position). As soon as I accelerate more, problem disappears. It happens more frequently while changing gears and city rides where application of clutch is more.I cleaned fuel pipe and tank.I tried various carburetor setting, but issue not solved. Please give me idea what would be the problem, how can I resolve it?

This happens if the gears don't engage property or if the gear is high compared to engine speed or if balancing on clutch. Shift down and try. If you know clutch and gears are proper and still problem persists, clean carb and check sparkplugs and it's connection. Sometimes this problem may occur in neutral, if it doss you should definitely check for spark plugs and contacts. In a carb bike sudden acceleration will have a dead zone before pick up. This problem is pretty common and I tackle it by shifting down. Let's me know if there is a better solution
                      Cheerio!

Any gear oil is also good. As it STICKS with the "O" rings for long. But before applying, wash the chain with Diesel or Kerosene. Don't use WD40, it damages the "O" rings.

I lubricate in every 250km and wash in every 500km. This frequency leads to less oil application and requires very less labour & time.

A sad hello to you all,

Recently(18.6.2016) my motorcycle got stolen from Guwahati at around 8PM-9PM. I had parked it on GS road. The section was well lit and full of cops. When I returned from the barber's shop I didn't see it & realised that it's been stolen. I have insurance & the insured value written on the paper is 1.12L. Do I get that money or depreciation cost will be deducted from it? How long does it take for the company to pay the money? I have heard that 90days? Is it true? My DL is of LMV type.. would the insurence stand cancelled due to that?

                              Please reply guys..

P.S. To all my Assam bullet brothers, Do I stand any chance of finding my bull? I don't think police is working although I have asked everyone I knew and since I am not from here, I am not getting so much of help..
