Sure. Let me find good people who can do this in Hyderabad. Inexperienced with engines...

Got my Marine bird 28th Jan..

Did first free service today, at 603kms.

didnt add crash guard till now as the showroom [Kings Auto, Baner, Pune] is quoting 1800 for Swastik Airfly model, which i felt is a tad higher. I am waiting for the registration number to arrive from the RTO so that i can visit a shop in the city.

this brings me to my question.. i have the following documents:
      • tax invoice [cash memo],
      • insurance,
      • road tax receipt
      • registration card receipt with me.

my bike, as is visible from the above pictures, is on temporary registration.

i have been avoiding the police wherever during the 600kms that i've already ridden.. i mostly take routes where there are less police, and fortunately, since i work in shifts, i dont meet many cops on the way to office.

but i was stopped by a havildar last weekend. i produced all the said papers, and he let me go after i paid Rs50, the cheapskate..

my question is, is it illegal in any way to use the bike normally on temporary reg but with the above mentioned documents, because the guy was talking about some fines. can i challenge the cops if anything like this happens subsequently?

It is illegal to ride/drive without registration number plate in Maharashtra, period. Some states allow vehicles to ply without permanent registration some do not, Maharashtra do not. Anyways if you have the tax receipt, you should get the number in a day or two, I think the delay is due to the RTO banning the agents, check with the dealership if they want you to go to the RTO.

          Thanks for your answer.

I am doing it with the help of an agent. He got the formalities done for me till now... I will take the matter into my hands if he doesn't get the number by this week.

Btw, its from PCMC RTO. Do you know anything about it??

Actually Maharashtra has banned all agents from entering the RTO offices so please check on it.

I'm not so sure on that.

I got my registration number 30mins back, from him, and the showroom confirmed it. [emoji1] [emoji1] [emoji1] [emoji1] [emoji1]

              Now i can ride free.

I think riding long is okay. Make sure you give it a break of at least 15mins every 100-150kms(good for rider and bike).

Regarding rattling sound, there is some amount of that which is normal. But too much of rattling is weird, make sure you are on correct gear, for ex, if you reach 5th gear before 55kmph then it's normal.

I would suggest you take it to ASC and also have some other guy who owns a TBTS check it, to be double sure and for peace of mind. Would help to diagnose if you post a clear audio of the same.

About rubber on engine. I got same problem, have to live with it. Ask the showroom guys to fix it properly. You might cut your fingers, as those edges are really sharp.

Hi guys ! had been a little busy for the past few days and hence the late update on the problems that I had mentioned.

With respect to the fluctuation in the idling rpm, and the strange behaviour with the rpm increasing while up-shifting the gears, the issue seemed to be a faulty carburettor. Got the carburettor replaced under warranty.

Fuse blowing off was caused by a short circuit, for which the crash guard bolt was the culprit. The bolt was constantly in contact with the rear brake pedal switch which was not noticed earlier. Over time, due to pressure from the crash guard bolt, the rubber cap on the switch cut loose thereby coming in direct contact with the bolt. The wiring harness was replaced.

                    Hello Guys,

I got my TB 350 (Lightning color) on 22-Jan-2015.

Done with first service and its really good bike. Below are the pros and cons of the bike which i have experience.

                    Pros:
                    1. Riding comfort.
                    2. New Design.
                    3. Control of bike.
                    4. Comfortable pillion seat.
                    5. Engine Sound is good.

                    Cons:
                    1. Quality of spar parts are not up-to the mark (getting sound from front disk break).
                    2. Chain oil spilling on Rim and center stand.
                    3. Variation in millage.

                    Thanks you,

Did you already need to change the disc brake??

Chain oil spilling issue will go away after the bike has been ridden for some time. the SC guys put liberal amounts of chain grease, and that leads to some spillage.

Mileage depends largely on the driving habits, and engine breaking in technique. how did you break in the engine and where/how do you drive?

No. I did not chang the disk break. I am getting some sound when press front break lever. I even checked with my friend who has tb 350. Even he is having the same problem. Heard like its common problem with all disk breaks in RE.

Earlier i had honda dazzler. Which has both disk breaks in it. I did not face any problem in it.

Can you elaborate what kind of sound is it? Is it a 'tik tik' sound, similar to the ones you hear from high voltage wires. Is it coming from the brake lever itself? If it is so it is normal, you should be worried if you don't hear this sound[emoji6]

                            Dear deejaay

                            It not 'tik tik' sound.

When i press break lever to slow down the bike, break pad touches the disk, at that time some 'zerrrrrrrrr' sound is heard, its the sound because of friction between break pad and wheel.

Heard like its common sound with all RE bikes, but i though of taking it to service station once to check. Even i feel, front wheel little bit tight.

                            Thanks you,

It might be due to some dust or mud stuck b/w disk plate and the pads, get it checked soon, it might damage the disk plate which is going to cost a lot and also will put your breaking to risk.

even im getting this sound, from the front brake. maybe its there in the rear brake too, but isnt audible over the engine/ambient noise.

i will get it checked out too.
