guys i purchased my tb350 on 27 dec 2014 and got 1st serviced done on 26th jan now im confused for 2nd service they say v have to service our bike either after 3 months or 3000km now my question is this 3 month is to be counted from the date of purchase or after 1st service???
for your free services, its always from date of purchase. 1st, service, 3 months, 6 months, and 9 months. OR if you complete 3000 kms between those durations. thereafter the logic remains nsam.. 3 months or 3000km whichever is earlier..
Parimal Maheshwari.. how are you bro!! u seem to be happy with the ASC... where do you take ur bike for servicing/repairs?

Cheers!

Hi Akshay, me doing great, just caught up with lots of work.

I have too stopped going to the ASC, getting my bike serviced from a guy called Nasir in Ghansoli and he does a decent job.

btw, i am having another fatal issue. my bike is not starting without choke. if i try to kick/self start without choke, it just dies. this also happens while i am slowing down on neutral, or slowing down while pulling back the clutch, for example, while going on a speed breaker on 2nd gear.
today morning the bike refused to start. the auto/kick works, but as soon as i stop kicking or release the self start switch, the ignition dies.

have called in the ASC and a mech is coming to investigate.
Carb problem .. May be Clogged pilot jet
Choke start mean your bike running way too lean .. And the moment neddle jet came it runing fine.. I think its pilot jet problem its better to replace not clean .. Because some time there is manufacturing defect also .. It cost you 50rs around

yep.. the issue was in the carb. dirt particles had clogged the pilot. i have no idea how dirt got in there.

anyway, they cleaned it at the ASC and now its running very good.

thank you for the info. i will keep it in mind.

not true.

take care of it and it will run for ages.

PS: drive it slow and steady, not like a high rev japanese sbk.

One diff is the Engine, current models runs with the Unit construction, First launched Old TB had CI I guess with single spark. Then came TB Twin spark. Chain drive was moved from Right to left, making the gear shift to the usual left side and braking on the right side. And FI as well

Cant say the Oil leak issue has been addressed to its fullest, there is still oil leak near the engine casing, it does come out due to the vibes. Cant prevent that. If RE has to address all the issues from its earlier models, I guess our great-grandson can see the results.

But they have come a long way forward from its earlier models which is a good sign, not great one though.

Nothing new to state, Usual Vibes while driving at 60, Starting rotor noise for a while, You can hear the Tappet noise when you listen closely to your engine, Chain stutter (may be due to slackness), Oil leak near the valve and the tappet casing, RVM is absolutely useless post 50 kmph due to extreme vibes.

In the first service, they will change the engine oil, rest of it is usual checkup and tightening of screws and bolts. Do highlight if you are facing any particular issues like brake screeching, noise form the handlebar when going over a pothole or bumps etc.
