No i went for marine color. Matte effect may fade away if not properly maintained.Originally posted by irumbu_kudhirai View PostVysakh - Traffic is bit manageable in the route I'm driving. but over the weekend, I guess I will have to encounter heavy traffic...Did u got the matt finish?

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
Hello,
I have a thunderbird 350 which is now a year old.... and i use it for daily commute which amounts to around 30 kms to and fro from home to office location.
And use it for weekend rides as well. Its been driven for 12000 kms now and there are no back pain issues at all.
I had an accident before few years and have back problem but believe me there is none using this bike and rides like a charm even in heavy traffic as i use it in peak hours as well.
Also have driven it to 250 kms in a stretch without issues.
So go with it with your eyes closed.

I need your valuable suggestions.
I've booked TBTS350 Lightning at Teknik motors, bangalore on 9th March.
1. I'm 6 feet tall and previously rode Unicorn. My work life and mono shocks resulted in lower back pain and sold the bike later... I'm not interested in mono shocks anymore and wanted to know how comfortable TB will be for my back? I don't want to put in 1.6L and get back pain again. I will be using the bike for daily office commute (roughly 15 kms a day) and more over the weekend. Is it good to get a TB and drive it for just 15 kms a day?
2. Currently I've booked the 'Lightning' color. I'm very much interested in the Matt finish black one. However the ASC guy informed me about the no paint warranty for that matt finish and advised not to go for that. Can someone tell me is it advisable to go for a matt finish without no warranty? If yes, what care has to be taken to maintain it properly.
3. This will be my first RE bike. From the reviews I'm reading, it seems the oil leak is a consistent problem, but has been reduced with new UCE engine. What should I be careful of when taking the bike for delivery and for the initial run-in period?
4. If TB has tendencies to increase the back pain, I will opt to move out and buy an Activa / Jupiter. I'm visiting the showroom to take a longer test ride tomorrow evening, but if any of you have some details / experiences in this please let me know.
thanks.

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
I have completed 4 free services till now and there was no expense other than oil change.Originally posted by irumbu_kudhirai View PostThanks a lot biker.abhi.. Your input has given me more confidence.. What maintenance should I look into closely???
Each oil change costs around 900-1000 Rs.
Now i am thinking to give AMC to the showroom people only but also exploring another options as showroom people are not responsible one's so having my own doubts on that issue.I don't ride a bike to add days to my life, I ride a bike to add life to my days.....

AMC will just cover washing and adjusting few things. All other consumables and labour will be charged extra. IMO, don't opt for AMC.Originally posted by biker.abhi View PostI have completed 4 free services till now and there was no expense other than oil change.

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
"The Dark Knight" rides back to Madurai
Somewhere near Valliyur (Sunrise and Sunset).
Pics taken during different days
. As my family is at native and I am travelling alone, spending more time with "Dark Knight" on long rides.
Guys I am planning for the below ride. Your expert comments and suggestions please
Chennai --> Madurai --> Tvm can be replaced with ECR ride back to Trivandrum. Just included Madurai because that's my native

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
Hello Friends,
I have one query hopefully someone can help me.
My Thunderbird's digital meter which shows the miles and clock have stopped working (God knows why). And my bike is just 15 days away from having the 1 year warranty expired. But the catch is i have already done more than 12500 KMS (Due to long weekend rides).
The service center says it wont get covered under warranty as it has done 12000 KMS.
So does anyone here has encountered such issue till now?I don't ride a bike to add days to my life, I ride a bike to add life to my days.....

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
I own a Thunderbird 350 - 2014 model. Everything is perfectly fine with the bull except the ride comfort.
Now ride comfort here means not the seating position, handle bar etc but indeed I mean the suspension set up. Especially the rear gas filled shock absorbers. Every pothole sends a bad vibe to my back. I have tried everything on earth like maintaining proper air pressure (22 front and 32 rear). I maintain this air pressure because I am a well built person and this is the air pressure specified in the manual booklet for rider+pillion.
I have also adjusted the rear shock absorbers to the last level. Still I do not find any difference in the ride comfort.
Does anyone face similar issue.
Bull Riders, please share your thoughts
Thanks in advance..
