Unless RE did'nt change the tensioner design, all you have to do is remove the clutch cover and set the tension right. If am not wrong it's 1/4th of an inch.

Ok.. so the hunt for a proper mechanic is back on.. Im finally completely done with the RE ASC and the ridculous amount of wait we have to go through.. Still looking for good mechanics. Personally Ive reied these and am not satisfied with them as they couldnt fix my issues at all:

          1. RE ASC soniya motors thane
          2. RE ASC ram motors nerul
          3. SMG motorcycle garage and customizers thane
          4. Wheelocity motors Andheri East.

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a mechanic apart from the above, please let me know. Issues faced:

          1. Battery indication starts blinking when i turn ignition ON, but dont start the motor for a few seconds. Sometimes this happens even if im idling on a traffic stop with the head light ON.
          - So far, have changed the battery prematurely as well, but not sure that was the culprit.
          2. Wierd noise like trrrrrrrrrr when I apply front brakes at speeds higher than 60kmph.
          3. Some wierd scraping noise when I turn the throttle, something like a paper stuck in the spokes, (But there is nothing stuck in spokes, i've checked!) this noise is audible only when I apply the throttle, and not on a closed throttle even if the bike is running.

Any suggestions on the above problems, will be welcome, but most of all, Please suggest a good mechanic who knows this new RE and most importantly its electricals!!

          Cheers!

Hi can anyone suggest me where can I get my rear shocks replaced. I ride 70km daily with 10km in that ride goes in a very disgusting pitty road. Need a real good shocks which can save my backbone. I live in Hyderabad. The requirement s for my RE TBTS 350 (2010 model)

Also need to change the crash guard and thinking of changing the handlebar too (just for looks)(a broader one)

Hey friends. . I purchased new thunderbird350 yesterday. I drove it under 50kmph..but as I stay in hostel many friends asked for a test drive and took the bike away and they drove very roughly.. I didn't see myself but I'm pretty sure about it.. they must have crossed 60kmph may be 70kmph for a long tym.. . I have just purchased bike. . So I haven't had any problem till now. .. Plz someone suggest me what to do.. Also it covered 193km just yesterday only... What should I do to make sure that the engine remains in good health

                  Firstly congratulations on the bike.
Secondly, don't let anyone ride the bike. Even i was in college hostel when i bought my bike and didn't let anyone ride it until it crossed 3k mark and so did many of my friends.
Follow the speed/rpm limits mentioned in the manual and the engine will be in good health.

                  Ride safe and have fun.
                  Regards

DO NOT LET anyone touch the bike without your supervision. if they insist, ride pillion with them.

follow the speed limits in the user manual strictly.

and congo on your new love treat her well

How about mechanics in pune? are they any good? I dont mind bringing my bird to pune for a service once in a while if im gonna get satisfactory results..ear

And congrats on your new bike!! Take good care of it for the first 3000kms.. be ALWAYS inside the speed and rpm limits.

That being said, the patience is still ever depleting, and inspiring another thought of fixing these problems myself... I know... too tough.... but i guess it will be fun too.. so if anyone has any DIY experience with the new TB, i'd be in gratitude if you can share your knowledge.. I'd like to start with the electricals.. because this problem is preventing me in adding up more stuff like fog lamps, usb charger, etc...

i take the bike to the showroom auth service center.. dont know about other mechanics. will update as soon as i get to know one..

btw, i am having another fatal issue. my bike is not starting without choke. if i try to kick/self start without choke, it just dies. this also happens while i am slowing down on neutral, or slowing down while pulling back the clutch, for example, while going on a speed breaker on 2nd gear.
today morning the bike refused to start. the auto/kick works, but as soon as i stop kicking or release the self start switch, the ignition dies.

have called in the ASC and a mech is coming to investigate.
