Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
No. Matte is easy to maintain.
But yes.. the lack of a clear coat does make it a wee bit susceptible to scratches on the paint more easily.

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
Try and keep it free of dust as much as possible. Never dry wipe the dust off, use a soft wet cloth to gently wipe dust. Most important never touch the tank or other coloured parts with oily or sweaty hands as those areas become prone to lose the matte effect (become shiny).

Seen many people changing their stock handlebars with crossbars etc in thunderbird. How good/bad will be the handling etc after changing it?VyshuVysakh

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
Dear fellow riders
I need your valuable suggestions.
I've booked TBTS350 Lightning at Teknik motors, bangalore on 9th March.
1. I'm 6 feet tall and previously rode Unicorn. My work life and mono shocks resulted in lower back pain and sold the bike later... I'm not interested in mono shocks anymore and wanted to know how comfortable TB will be for my back? I don't want to put in 1.6L and get back pain again. I will be using the bike for daily office commute (roughly 15 kms a day) and more over the weekend. Is it good to get a TB and drive it for just 15 kms a day?
2. Currently I've booked the 'Lightning' color. I'm very much interested in the Matt finish black one. However the ASC guy informed me about the no paint warranty for that matt finish and advised not to go for that. Can someone tell me is it advisable to go for a matt finish without no warranty? If yes, what care has to be taken to maintain it properly.
3. This will be my first RE bike. From the reviews I'm reading, it seems the oil leak is a consistent problem, but has been reduced with new UCE engine. What should I be careful of when taking the bike for delivery and for the initial run-in period?
4. If TB has tendencies to increase the back pain, I will opt to move out and buy an Activa / Jupiter. I'm visiting the showroom to take a longer test ride tomorrow evening, but if any of you have some details / experiences in this please let me know.
thanks.

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
Even i have the same problem. I booked my thunderbird 350 since it was comfortable. It is good for long rides. But in city traffic it is not as flickable as othersOriginally posted by irumbu_kudhirai View PostDear fellow riders
