i was wondering, has anybody tried to change the rear wheel to a thicker one? thicker as in like the rear wheel of the FZ, and the HDs.

    more for the style quotient.

How effective is the Motoman's break-in guide? and is it as safe as it says it is?

Anyone tried it on the TB350??

I got 2 questions related to tyres.

            1. Is it possible to get both tubeless tyres with stock configuration on tbts?
            2. Has anybody used slime or tyre sealant on tube tyres like the one in tbts, is it effective against punctures?

Yes, engine breaking works well on bullets. You need to understand what gear at what speeds. Going from full speed to 1st gear could be dangerous. Yes, this needs some serious practice. Most of the guys develop this involuntarily with years of riding.

I have not gone through engine break in guide, so I can't comment on that.

What I have done for break in is kept the engine under 3k rpm always, occasional burst above 3k rpm. Try riding the bike on all gears instead of constantly keeping it on single gear. Start the bike and wait for 30 seconds atleast before putting the gear and moving. Never ever give sudden acceleration. That's all I have got from RE veterans.

Just take it easy till run in.

Specifically, I'm talking about Kings Auto, Baner, Pune. Any Puneits?

                      Hi all,

Just booked my Thunderbird 350 (lightning) at Coimbatore company showroom on 8-10-14. As like all, watching every single RE bikes on road, this month on 23-11-2014 my wife took my scooter and car was too dirty to touch (since construction is going on). I was desperate to have vehicle called the showroom and asked any golden chance to get vehicle even though they mentioned 6 month. Sales person asked "Do you have idea about Stone Black Color" i could not understand repeatedly he asked for the same question.

At last i put it in local language "Do you have stock for Stone Black". He said yes,

Me : "Can is see the vehicle"
visited the show room. very pathetic now response on front end sales guys. atlast i met the man i spoke to. He said visit the service center where they have stock.

visited and saw the BLACK BULL. fall in love due to the logo on matt finish black.

returned to showroom confirmed and signed the papers and payment they suggested credit card = 3 days to realize , RTGS = 2 DAYS to realize, cash = 1 day.

I prefered RTGS (my luck my account is also on HDFC) so done payment on monday. send sms to sales person.

Tuesday called and confirmed for amount remittance. Yes they received.

wednesday morning visiting to showroom (not yet opened @ 9.30) waited for sales person.

"SIR SURE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR BIKE TODAY BY 5 PM" having a big hope and small smile went to office.

afternoon 2.30 call from show room (Thanks for TRUE CALLER) female voice (as good as recorded)

"SORRY SIR DUE TO RTO SERVER ISSUE YOUR VEHICLE WILL BE DELIVERED TOMORROW" THAKK line dropped.

NO CHOICE, NO GO. wait extended for one more day.

Thursday AGAIN visit to show room to surprise it was open by that time. met the sales person.

"ANNA" WITHOUT FAIL YOU WILL GET IT TODAY. do we have any choice.... left to office .... watching clock by 2.00 Pm called sales person "SIR VERY SURE YOUR BIKE IS GETTING WATER WASH PL. COME BY 5.PM"

                      "OK'

Went with my wife to show room.

"YES, MY BLACK BULL WAS READY"

Great feeling to get the mighty vehicle in short duration 2 months.

enjoyed the every day of sales cycle and NOW ENJOYING riding of new bike.

I will post my experience of TB 350 after first service. so far so good (minor nigs chain loose. they recommend chain spray need to buy on monday)

This is a good leg guard but the only issue with the wrap around shape is that in an unfortunate accident there is possibility that the leg will get trapped between the guard and engine, I would recommend a good leg guard without the curved design. I use the following :

IMHO, the retro one does not go that we'll with TBTS. I have the one parimal has shown. It looks good.

Had changed the engine oil first time from the usual Liquid Gun at the ASC to Shell Hellix Hx3 20w50. Filled exactly 2.2 Ltr of it. Had some burning smell and engine started to heat a lot. Was worried. But later as the new oil changed in, it was smooth. But I forgot to change the engine oil filter element. Have to do it by tomorrow hopefully.

Btw, any good tyre replacement was the stock tyres ???

                                Regards
