I am riding under the speed limit as per the service center guys told me. No unwanted twisting of throttle

Adjusted the slow speed. But still it is there. Will be giving for service on monday. Will ask them to check. Everything else is fine. Even that sound goes after 2-3 km of riding

First Time Writing on XBHP, sharing my experience and feelings:
Hello everyone, I am Dev from Udaipur, Rajasthan. Udaipur: a very beautiful place full of lakes, palaces, mountains etc. Its basically a tourist place.
I have been part of XBHP for past some years now. And a follower even for longer time. For all these years I have been a silent spectator. But now I feel that I should share my feelings with you all. Kindly ignore my grammatical mistakes and misplaced English. But I know you will all know what I am talking as we all have something in common and that is love for motorcycles.
          The beginning:
I got my first set of wheels as a tricycle as a kid, with what I remember and what my parents told me, I never used to leave it alone, It was with me all the time, I even took it to school with me. Times passed and got a bicycle, I used to spend a lot of time on it.
Slowly as I grew I started to get inclined towards motored two wheelers. My first experiences included my dad’s Bajaj Scooter, a friend’s Luna and sunny.
Things changed when I first time rode a motorcycle, it was uncle’s hero Honda CD100. It was a magical experience. I went straight to a friend’s place and took him too for a ride. Riding a motorcycle made me stand apart in my friends. I was admired and I loved it.
As I grew I started to ride my dad’s hero Honda splendor. I used to take it to school, it was cool, not many boys had bikes then, mostly had cycles. I loved the attention I used to get. We three friends used to sit on single bike and roam around.
          My First Bike:
I got my first bike in 11th standard way back in 2005. It was a Pulsar 150. It was back then the coolest bike. It was huge, as compared to splendor I previously rode. I had to ask the showroom guy to take it out of the showroom on the day of delivery, as it looked and felt so big. Soon I got used to it.
I loved it every way; it was fast and had a lot of road presence back then. We soon had a group of pulsars all my friends bought the same bike. We used to ride within city. Never went for a long trip.
My pulsar was with me till 2015, I have had a lot of memories with it, I grew with it. It was with me in all my experiences, school, college, job, first crush, first love, first date, I loved it every way. It gave me the feel of a sports rider. I felt it. I got so attached that it felt it was living. I gave the bike to a friend as I could not think of giving it to a stranger.
The Change:What I feel about the Classic 350:
It’s a beautiful bike, got huge road presence, and the feel is awesome. Its sweet range is between 60-80 KMPH, I feel the most comfortable in that range and drive mostly in that range. Beyond 80 it vibrates a lot. Rusting is a major issue, and it is un-predictable in terms of engine behavior. Sometimes it is smooth and sometimes not.
Overall it is a bike to be felt, neglecting the imperfections.
I have never done any touring on any bike, but wish to do some once I get a chance. I am more into short stints, but still need to explore the tourer in me.
          What is motorcycling to me?
For me motorcycling is a way of living life, it’s a lifestyle rather than being just a liking or hobby. Riding a motorcycle makes me feel free, it makes me feel connected to myself, and it relaxes me.It takes me away from my daily life struggles of personal and professional life, it let me feel the life I want to live and not what I am forced to live. It makes me feel part of the global community known as bikers. Wish I had more ways to express my feelings but I am sure, everyone of you who loves motorcycles will know what I mean.
What Kind of biker I am:
I am a very simple but moody rider, sometimes I feel just to cruise and at time I feel like going fast. I might not know a lot about motorcycle history or legends in motorcycling, which I believe is not required as it is my sheer love for motorcycling that makes me feel it. I am not a tourer, at least not yet. But I have a lot to explore.
          My Dream:
I want to be at a position wherein I can afford the bikes of my dream and have enough time to enjoy with them:
My Fleet of bikes should have the following:
A daily commuter: Classic 350 ( I already own it)
Weekend Rides: Harley Davidson 883 and a sportsbike preferably Daytona 675R or CBR 600 or a Fireblade.
Wish to ride on the best of the roads in the world, meet bike enthusiast from across the globe and ride with them. Feel every moment of my life.

          Note:
I am not very good at writing things or putting my thoughts together, this is the first time I have written something I felt. Hope I convey my message and if there are any errors please ignore them. All that I have written are purely based on what I feel.

                Hi all,
I just booked my TB 350 a week back.I always wanted to get the TB but was confused with Duke .
My current bike is Yamaha RX-100 which I am shamelessly abusing. The only "maintenance" I give it is petrol and oil.But reading the blogs looks like I have to change that habit.
Whenever I see a TB thundering past me I do feel happy with my decision(jealous too since still a 2 months wait) but a little scared when i see oil marks when TB is parked.
The Duke and TB are completely different bikes, I agree but can anyone owning both of them tell me about maintenance -time and money.
By the way,I inquired about warranty for matte finish at 2 showrooms ,both said it is under warranty.

I owned a duke 200 n sold it and bought thunderbird 350. If you are comparing, both are different breed. I am comfortable with thunderbird. Even in city. Duke is much more responsive as it is fuel injection.

But the service for royal enfield is pathetic. Just came back from service centre.

It works just as well as any other season. Just give a little extra attention to the rim's and chain for dirt. You should be good.

Hey guys. My enquiry is about top speed. I have covered 7000 kms. A couple of long weekend rides with friends have made me feel the need for a better top speed on highways. The fact is.. I find it difficult to cross 100 kmph. I have reached 110kmph on a slightly sloping route but otherwise no. I have a friend who owns a classic350 who claims to have reached 120kmph on highways. Is there something that can be adjusted?
What is the top speed u guys have reached and your thoughts on the same?
                        Thanks

                          Hey Guys,
Still a long long month for me to get my TB but wanted to be prepared with other stuff.
1.Should i get the crash guard fitted from dealer or outside option is better.I am from Pune so if you know any shop please suggest
2.3M offers to put some kinda scratchguard tape.Has anyone done that.
                          3. I dont think i will be touring long distances but I do want to get myself and decent jacket/gloves and knee/elbow guards(if suggested) .I searched online but the variety and price range is confusing.I dont know which brand is good so doesnt make sense just to buy looking at prices.Looking at getting a vega helmet since i heard about the brand.I guess that indicates the price range I am looking at.
                          Please do suggest.

the stock tires are slippery on wet surfaces. so ride with care.

good thing you are preparing ahead of time.

                            1. go to nana peth. there are lots of spares shop which sell RE spares. get the crash guard from there. you will get crash guards at half the cost which the showrooms charge.

                            2. dont bother. just ride in a sane manner.

                            3. Helmet: NO VEGA or SteelBird stuff. go for good brand helmets like LS2, MT, KYT, SOL. the range starts from ~2k to 20k. visit Pro Biker/DSG on MG road, Moto101 behind Jehangir hosp for better idea. Visit the universal Riding gear thread for details about the gears.

Hey Guys, Need some help in choosing tires for my Birdie ( TBTS 2010 Model). I'm currently running on stock, planning for a upgrade , as per my research for front Ceat SECURE Sport is what is recommended by most. For Rear my don't have much options the only one that i could i find is NYLOGRIP PLUS 3.50/R19 which is same i'm having right now. Is their any better tires which are available ? I want to stick with 19". Please Advice.
