I read your post about monsoon misfiring and your experience with dealing with the service center guys.

I had faced a similar problem with my Yamaha R15 Version 2, and had posted the exact same problem on the Yamaha R15 Version 2 thread.

I ended up spending around ₹ 3K on "fuel pump service", "fuel tank cleaning" and "injector cleaning" on words of the service center guys this monsoon with ABSOLUTELY NO LUCK IN GETTING MY PROBLEM SOLVED.

They blamed water entering fuel tank as the culprit.

In my last service, however, the mechanic at my service center replaced the "SPARK PLUG CAP".

The problem seems to have solved now. The part costed a mere ₹173 for my bike.
Worth a try, considering my almost ruined monsoon riding experience has become a joy again.

Hope this helps.
Hi Friend
1st just check if your fuel tank lid is leak and a way for water to enter the tank,
2nd check the carburetor if it has water in its bottom fuel cup and jets also
Then also the chances of spark plug coming in contact with water change plug caps

I think that you need to keep calling them. My friend used to call showroom every alternate day. He got delivery in a month. Whether you are taking loan or paying by full cash also matters.
I assume that you have already paid full amount.
Thanks for the soon response...

first things firsts ... M paying by full cash

paid an advance of 10k..... The showroom guy said to pay the rest while delivery....n for the most of the guys I saw n confirmed did the same
i usually have been calling after every 3 days since it's been more than 15 days....n I've heard abt these Austin guys regarding delaying deliveries.... One of my frnd got his bird last year after 6 months while he was assured of 2 months max.... So these things r concerning me....coz they have a reputation of delivering earlier to people who tip them off some extra money or at times people who r a bit influential n having some sort of closeness to the dealership.....

I have also heard that extra cash and influence would get you delivery earlier.
I had made sure that I book it well in advance to get it on time. I booked in May and requested delivery in Oct.
Looks like pestering them is the only option now.
You can try sending an email to customer care.

BTW, I was asked to pay full amount 20days before the desired date of delivery. I paid full amount on 6th Sept, requested delivery on 3rd Oct.

Many thanks for your reply. I have already tried first 2 points but that didn't make any difference.
Today I inspected the carb and found that it's pump was worn out which was letting extra air to come in with the fuel and making all this issue.
After replacing the pump everything is fixed and bike is running like a new one, All in these look like the rain was just a co-incident :-)

Thanks again for your help.

Regards

Hi MAK,

I am sorry but I didn't take photo that time but let me try to explain here using the image I modified here.
View image: url

Point 1 is the cap which we had to open to replace the carb pump or piston and in point 2 is the area the pump throw the petrol depends on the accelerator. In my bike the surface of pump was having BLACK coating but from one site after it was worn out the inner silver mettle was visible.

Thanks
Kishan

Thanks for the reply. The carb on my bull has been burning rich since I returned from LEH 2 years back. I'll get it tested. There is an issue with water leaking into the carb during a wash.

Hello everyone,

Can anyone tell me what is the contact no of RE customer care in bangalore or email ID.

Showroom: HSR Royal Enfield, Banashankari, Bangalore

Background: I had booked my TBTS 500 Stone in march and the day I heard of logo change, I changed the booking to TBTS350 Stone(For Mileage and non-EFI reasons). I was told waiting period of 3-4 months. I have fully paid the amount last week when they said the bike will be delivered in 1 week. After the payment was done they said take other color as Stone arrival will take one month, but I dont want anything other than Stone. Did anybody face similar issue with delivery? I am not sure if I should wait patiently or do something about it.

Its been so long since I am waiting for the bike. Showroom people are giving different answers on my every visit.

Ok, I've a RE thunderbird 350 in my dad's garage in EKM, Kerala, and I am looking to install large metal cases/touring cases on either side of the rear seat - would any experienced Bull rider suggest the best options I might have?

Things I'd love to look out for :-
- Carrying capacity (as large a set of cases as possible)
- Locking ability? (maybe I can use a set of cheap normal locks, but integrated lockable bags if available, would be relaly interesting)
- Rear crash guards for the RE TB? I have the front guards installed, but are there rear guards also available?

Thank you in advance for your tips & inputs. Looking forward to riding the bull again, this December!! !!

Regards,

Hey Sharrrrrrad

Don't go for any other color if you'd wished for the stone. And let me tell you, stone with the new logo looks great.

Regarding your issue, Yes I had faced the same. I got my 350stone last month after a major struggle. If you have paid the whole amount, and if it has exceeded a week, then brother the ball is in your court now. I had paid the whole amount and even after a month they couldn't provide me my bike.
This is what I did then .
1.Rang up the head office In Cochin (I booked my bike from kerala).
2.Got in contact with the ASMs(area sales manager) and gave all the details . Raised a complaint (RE is supposed to deliver the vehicle within 4 day after paying the whole amount. If they don't you have the right to charge interest. Thanks to fellow group members here for educating me on it  ).
3. Sensing no much progress, had to call the customer support in Chennai. Told them I'd be moving legally on this. They provided me with the Regional manager's (south India) number. Rang him up, told him the scenario. He arranged a con call with the kerala ASMs, and believe me withing 15mins I got a call from one of the manager confirming that my bike has been allotted and has been dispatched to the showroom.
Got my bike within two days from then.
