You can flatten and add cushioning to the seat, from an aftermarket seat maker.

      Hi Guys.
Im planning on going one size up on the front sprocket or one lower on the back sprocket for a more relaxed top end.

From my searches I found that we can get a 5km/h more at around 3k rpm. That should be good for me.
Also I want to know how much it will affect other things like climbing slopes and in traffic? will it be negligible or noticeable?
Or should i just increase my tyre size?

I would like to know the pros and cons properly before making any changes. Anyone who has done this? Your views would be helpful

I'm having tailbone pain while riding Thunderbird. Is seat modification recommended in this situation? If yes, what kind of modification am I looking at?

I also have faced such issue. Mine was due to filling the gas to full as mine is a Bs4 model I was unaware of the new changes with the petrol tank. But then I again I feel like this patch up work is not a good solution to make the bike Bs4 compliant.

              Need Help!

My TB350 started low rpm issue today. As soon as the bike goes into idle it switches off on its own. This happened earlier also, at that time I adjusted the rpm and the next day the issue was gone. I experienced the same issue today again. I'm suspecting issue in the carborator. Is there any quick fix or I have to take the bike to service center?

I went with seat modification of my thunderbird 350 & have added foam in the front seat to level it with the back seat. Initially the impression has been that the comfort of riding small distances for me has gone with the flat seat. But I haven’t experienced the tailbone pain in the new setup. Of course the real test will be on longer distances. I will post the effects of long distance riding once I start doing my daily up-down of 55kms. At present I’m using my car since I have some health issue which will take a month.

The modification was done at Ramkatora, Varanasi. The guy added foam of an old motorcycle seat.

                  Hello All,

I own RE TB350 2012 model. It has completed 6 years and is in for her mid life crisis. Has run for 41K kms and is due for change in tyres (both front and rear) as well as make over for the seat. My queries regarding the same are as follows:

                  1. What is the largest size tyre that I can have for rear and front without modifying the swing arm? If I decide to go in for the regular size tyres, then I have Michelin Siracs in mind. Any user review of them would be most welcome. Most of my riding is on tarmac and I have already been to Leh. This means that atleast in near future I would not need dual purpose tyres. So, apart from Michelin and MRF (the OEM's are MRF) which ones would you recommend and why?

                  2. I stay in Pune. Please suggest a good seat maker from whom I can get my seat redone. I am definitely looking for extra cushioning ( thanks to the wrong side of 40's)

I appreciate your inputs in advance

                  Thanks and ride safe

Hi... My brother bought this bike and it has been in my family for the past 15 years. Ok i have heard that it has got this timing gear problem but i haven't had to face this. I had to change the gears 2 years back when i started using the bike. I know this bike is not the most powerful, not the most comfortable, not the best in the world, but it has been proved useful to me since my first attempt to ride it without my parents seeing to the time i took license test on it, through the times i have crashed in it, and the times i have gone for long night rides on it.

I bought a Dominar couple of weeks back. Got to admit that it is much more advanced (i don't even have a proper horn, indicator and tachometer in my Thunderbird for God sakes!!) but after the first few weeks of riding it, i still come back to ride the red beauty through the neighbourhood as loud as possible waking up everybody in the middle of the night. Hello everybody,Hope you all are doing fine.I turned 18 last year and now I can ride and take care of my dad's 2009 Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350.It's a nice bike,Have been scared a lot everytime I rode it (Hopefully with practice,I can do better I guess).I am the one In-Charge of keeping her clean, but now I can finally take her out.The bike is running well but I have a few problems and some questions.

                        1) The Tachometer,Fuel Gauge and the
                        Neutral lamp isn't working.It was
working fine and suddenly it won't
work at all.Father is saying that not to
touch it because Mechanics will Milk
out every Single penny from your
                        pocket,By touching one Electrical
                        part,You damage 10 of them,That's
his slogan on Royal Enfield bikes
                        lol.The Speedometer and Odometer
                        are working perfectly fine.

                        2) Did the bike come with an Indicator
Buzzer like scooters ? Because I
often switch it on and forget to turn it
off after I make the turn.Is it possible
                        to install one ?

                        3) There is a bit of an Oil Leak on the
Engine. My father says its from the
Chain's Fast moment it spits out oil
all over the place.I find that quite hard
to believe because the oil spots are
on the engine head.I am also quite
scared about it,How will I be able to
                        identify the leak ?

                        4) Best recommended Fully Synthetic Oil
and Engine Flusher from you guys ?
Also what are the intervals of
                        changing oil ?

                        5) What are the things to take care and
have a close eye about this bike ?

I wasnt able to upload pictures because it was too big. Thanks a lot for your help guys,Ride safe

You have to take the bike to the ASC to fix these issues.
And yes your father is partly correct about the mechanics. If youre lucky, youll get a good ASC to look into the bike.
Always stand nearby when they work on the bike and if possible do a little self study to learn about the bike itself.

leakage from the engine head needs to be looked at by taking apart the head. The simplest reason could be a busted seal.

No need for fully synth oil for this bike. Go for Motul 15w50 semi-synthetic and change oil every alternate service with oil topup in between.

Unfortunately did not get any answer. But here is what I went ahead with. Put in Michelin's both front and back at a total cost of INR4600. Also, I got my seat redone from Pawar Seat Makers in Nana Peth Pune for INR2000. They are very professional and competent.

Hopefully, above information is helpful to other.

Hey guys, I have TB 350. I met with an accident last month. Only damage was on console and headlamp portion. Tank got saved because of leg guard but somehow Royal Enfield emblem on the tank for damaged. Got a call from the service centre from the person who's handling my claim process that nobody even senior technicians is willing to fix that. I have claimed insurance so he told me that he can arrange for Royal Enfield emblem and add it to my claim but I have to fix it outside.

What you guys suggest, have anyone faced this issue before. The bike is getting serviced at RE brand service centre Bangalore.

                                thanks & happy thumping,
