  • Why does Thunderbird 350 has so many complaints? Is it worth buying?

Hello guys! I am planning to upgrade myself to 200+ CC bike. I had a passion for Royal Enfield. I know that its tough bike and comfortable.

But everytime i read on web or watch videos or ownership reviews on youtube, i should say there were lots of complaints.

I would love to hear from Thunderbird owners. Would you recommend it?

Hello guys. I have the 2016 TBTS 350 model. The pillion backrest on my bike is very hard but is relatively softer on other people's Thunderbird that I've checked. So I assume that the cushion on my bikes backrest is faulty. I have asked a local seat maker regarding changing the cushion of the backrest but he told me that the cushion alone can't be changed. I'm a bit sceptical about that.
Can someone help me out regarding whether only the cushion can be changed ?
If not then can the entire backrest be changed and how can that be done (also thinking about increasing the height of the backrest) ? (Pics could be helpful)
        Thanks in advance.

Hello. Like others stated. A Royal Enfield requires dedication and commitment to maintain, and I can personally assure you the Machine will reciprocate with respect and performance. The machine may demand more time from you than your girl friends and wife combined. I tell you this on a positive note. [emoji3]

My first Thunderbird 350cc 2011 model was ridden with problems. My posts in this forum will prove it. That didnt stop me from going for a Classic 500. And i tell you the classic was miles ahead in terms of quality and driveability. But since then Ive returned to a newer thunderbird 350 for sake of comfort. On the highway, the Tbts rules. This is a testament for me that this machine is worth the time you give it.

                  • Registration completion mandatory for new bike to intra state touring. can anyone say about that.!

Hello friends. I am a keen follower of xbhp. I am taking my bike -Thunderbird 350 flickering by 10th October 2017. Later by 25th october, I am planning to do a bangalore - mangalore -goa-ratnagiri-kholapur-bangalore ride. My doubt is that will the bike be registered in a mere period of time (14 days roughly)? Even if my registration is not complete, can I take it for touring in to other states!?will there be any problem!?can you please clarify this. Thanks

Do check the speedo coupler at the front wheel, also check the speedo wire is rotating , go to a mechanic. He will check it for you

Has anyone been using Motul Semi-Synthetic oil in the TBTS?
If yes, do you feel any difference than the regular mineral oil?
                          Inputs appreciated.

Slight smoothness observed. In my case the oil evaporated quickly.

Yes I use it. Works amazing. Changing interval 4000-5000 km.
