Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
Hey buddy! I have fitted the airfly crash guards from outside showroom, the mechanic told me the same thing. But he told me that it could be rectified if the removable portion at the end of the mudguard is raised a bit then it would not touch the crash guard. It was done and the airfly was fitted. The jugard worked, but if i hit a pot hole hard then the mudguard touches a bit. Now I am looking to sell this crash guard and fit a Diamond type. So my advice don't go for airlfy.Originally posted by WhiteTiger View PostThis is my first post Hellow to all royal enfield owners i have recently booked a thunderbird 350 bs4 marine so which leg guard should i fit? i personally like air fly leguard but the showroom guy said air fly leguard is not suitable for thunderbird i ask the reason he said the airfly leguard touches the mudguard is it true kindly help thanks

Living with the same condition for almost 2 years now. Oh, and the bike is 3.5 years old!
Can't use the trip meters, hazard lights, and oh don't even get me started on the clock!

How long should the chain sprocket last for the Thunderbird?
Mine survived for 31000 kms! And I think that's too much!

i dont think so.. ASCs surely will sell at MRP.Originally posted by SidharthaN View PostThat's freaking expensive considering it conked out in 3years. Can this be sourced aftermarket
although you can go to a RE spares dealer and try and haggle to get the cost down on the MRP. Also, check if they have warranty.
one more thing..
the Instrument Cluster is highly prone to misting up during rainy seasons. Mine mists up right above the digital console.
I have had this issue since the beginning and the a**hole ASCs refuse to identify this as a quality issue..Ride: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Marine >> KTM Duke 390 2017
Helmet: SOL SL-68S II

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
Hi. I have a thunderbird 350 2013 model and there is a good amount of vibration from the footpegs. I wanted to know if anyone experienced the same. Also if there are aftermarket pegs to damp the vibration i would like to know about that too.
I looked around a bit. Harley has anti vibration footpegs but I am not sure that will fit. Also I read from some blog about padding with rubber to damp the vibrations.
The tb footpegs are fancy but they are not meant to damp vibration. I really like the footpegs but i would prefer function over form.
All ideas to reduce the vibes are welcome .

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
Guys urgent help required for my Thunderbird 350.
Yesterday while on a ride I came across a bad patch of village road. Whilst avoiding potholes my bike did go on a (not so big) pothole but when it did go over it some weird noise started coming from the engine. Kind of like some screw going round and round and grinding along with the engine. I'm really worried about this sound. But this sound appears to disappear when I'm riding above 60 kmph or maybe I can't hear due to wind noise and such. I'm due for an oil change. I'm worried about some part breaking or coming loose inside the engine.
Does anyone have any idea about such a noise. Also please do recommend a good engine oil with suggested change frequency. I have heard about Motul 3000 15w50 and Motul 5000 15w50 and they run for around 4-5k kms correct me if I'm wrong. Or is any other oil better ?

Re: Registration completion mandatory for new bike to intra state touring. can anyone say about tha
This is shocking. Can you post any pics?Originally posted by lsthshkmr View PostGot my bike delivered on 23 Oct. As usual showroom guys made a fuzz in delivering the colour I wanted. Finally got my TBTS 350 marine Blue. After taking delivery, I noted that the hazard light feature is been removed in bike, there is no more switch provided for this. Moreover, even the side stand indicator led is been removed from the bike but the sensor(in side stand) is been still provided with. It is funny that the owners manual given to me mentioned both these features. The showroom people doesn't even know why it's taken off. But customer support informed like some govt guidelines asked for removing these features. I asked them to explain which govt guidelines state such, and as usual no answer from them. I was expecting these features in my brand new bike but really disappointed 😞 in being taken back unnecessarily by Royal Enfield. And the most sad part is that no one gives a proper reason for removing the features. It seems new bikes doesn't have these features anymore. 😐 disappointed so much.

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
I would suggest to get the engine oil changed ASAP and while changing the oil ask the mechanic to open engine cover of both the sides. Also check if there are some metal particles in the drained oil.Originally posted by pranavkhadawala View PostGuys urgent help required for my Thunderbird 350.

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
I did rush to the mechanic directly from my ride. Engine Oil level was extremely low. The mechanic said it was hardly 1-1.5 ltrs which was shocking for me and the mechanic both as we could see oil till midway in the oil level window next to the engine. Also the valve in the engine had broken a bit and those metal parts were revolving with the oil. He then replaced the valve, flushed all the oil with metal parts and put in Motul 3000 15w50 oil into it.Originally posted by Mandar_C500 View PostI would suggest to get the engine oil changed ASAP and while changing the oil ask the mechanic to open engine cover of both the sides. I guess the valve had broken due to low oil levels. This was the first time I changed my engine oil to Motul from the Liquid Gun which RE service centre provides. Service centre guys say that the oil runs for 6000 kms and also the manual mentions the same. But mine got over much before the recommended 6000 kms that too without any oil leaks. They are grossly mistaken about how long the engine oil works.

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
Royal Enfield service center here told it can run for 2.5k to 3k kms max when i had went for first service . I guess its true for most mineral oil, even bajaj service center says their mineral oil can for 10k kms which is big joke (both company oil comes from hp)Originally posted by pranavkhadawala View PostI did rush to the mechanic directly from my ride. I guess then it's all about learning about your own bikes. I had decided a while back not to trust these service centre people but now I'm pretty sure I won't be going to them.Originally posted by wingrider007 View PostRoyal Enfield service center here told it can run for 2.5k to 3k kms max when i had went for first service .
