    ITS AMAZING!!!!!

Im from Bangalore. Ordered yesterday. Delivered today. Registration happening on monday (so cant ride it out in the open much).

My dealer said he had ready stock of red and white and that any other color would take more time. Although during my research phase, i called up all the hero honda dealers in bangalore and each of them said that they have different colours in stock. So actually every color is available you just need to get the right dealer.

When i was riding the bike back home, i was stopped by a tempo driver who was inquiring about the bike and its cost. Later on he told me " saab aapka aur gaadi ka fitting hai "

Came home, and gave the bike to my dad for a ride.. he just went down the road and came back - and he was followed buy this guy on a pulsar 150 who wanted to inquire about how the bike was

    AWESOMENESS!!!!!

    Cheers.

    Jagjot.
    Congrats!!!

Don't forgot to post pics and your riding experience..

      • hey people...

i have a question for other zmr owners...

i would like to know how the reserve system in the bike works. In the manual it says that when the last line on the gauge starts to blink you should refill your tank asap.

does this mean that the the reserve kicks in when the light starts to blink?

        thanks,

        Jagjot.

        • as soon as last bar starts to blink you should refuel immediately as digital can be funny sometimes.

since it doesn't have fuel cock you have to rely on it.

Due to less supply, the showroom gets only 2 pieces every month, and i made the mistake of rejecting a black one in February , which was standing in the showroom, cuz i didn't like the minute scratches and the fact that the engine was started for everyone who came to see it.I had the old 2006 zma in pune and sold it last year there before coming to dhanbad, as i had no plans of further studies, but now i have to study further 4 years, so i thought what the heck i will buy it again.

I have completed 210 km since then. Till now, i had to ride my brother's pulsar 150 for last 8 months and i was sick of it. Now that i have it, i am completely at peace. I also took test ride of P220 dtsi. But it felt so much like other pulsars, that i was amazed how can people even buy that? Same vibrations, cheap plastic, squeaky engine, and weird gearbox, not good for tall people like me (i am 6'3"). Although the power at high rpm does feel like somewhat, but who wants a stunt bike anyways, at least not me. Why those overdrive and other reviewers say that P220 feels more sturdy than karizma? feels like a promotion technique to me.
1st thing brush your knowledge about bikes, The bike on the dyno is a test bike, and dont ever think showroom people have a lack in life to sit on that bike a do a run in for it.
My Point- DONT EXPECT SMOOTHNESS in GEAR, ENGINE NOTE, and the likes.

2nd thing-STUNT BIKE?? i never ever knew half fairing bikes were used for stunting, maybe you are aware of such STUNTERS.

3RD thing- Ride a PULSAR 220 DTSI which has got a proper run-in, and then you can talk about a bike being STURDY.

4TH thing- squeaky plastic?? HMMM I MUST HAVE OVERLOOKED THE FACT ABOUT zmr BEING MADE OF HIGH DENSITY ALUMINIUM with CARBON FIBRE in parts.

5th thing- Never ever underestimate people at overdrive and the likes, they are knowledgeable in their field, and they are not paid millions by BAJAJ or anyone for a 5 star review.

6th thing- on a highway where CROSSWINDS dominate, ride the ZMR and feel free to feel the bike shift towards it right, unlike the pulsar 220 which goes straight just like the arrow of LEGOLAS.

Reasons enoUgh for me why i bought this BEAST and not a zmr.
Reasons enough for you to take your words back??

            • Peace !!!

Reading this forum long since silently since I am not an owner of ZMR.

Will book this weekend but the War of words has forced me to chip in.

              Arya,
I am born in DHANBAD hence have a feeling for you.
Rather P220s will be hard to sustain for a long time in Coal Mine areas.
Moreover people will have back aches too.

However the choice of Power/Speed/Mileage/Sustainability varies from individual to individual.

Hence no offence meant to R15s/P220s/ZMA(R)s.
All are good in its own way.

But these small tiffs actually make the forum noteworthy.....
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

i thinking of getting a sparkling new red zmr for me.
since it's been many years that i am riding my cbz classic.

and i have tested her to it's extreme. and i am sure
zmr will be providing me the same riding pleasure.
and although i feel it is the best sports tourer bike
in Indian market.(my very personal opinion)
but i have enquired from ASS guys they said that
there is a much heating problem in zmr....!!
so this statement of his forced me to ask your opinion

There is no Heating problem with ZMR...

During a ride when you struck in traffic...with very low speed...bike engine heats up...and this is common for all bikes...not all bikes are full faired and heat passes through an open parts of full fairing so that time you may feel heat waves...and this may occur with all full fairing bikes...

You can check the thread http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/desi-bik...pressions.html

Here ZMR owners has post a good explanation for this

^^^I second veryhiphop on that. My bike is in running-in period and the only time I felt slightly heated tank and fairing was while riding slowwwwwwwly in heavy traffic in one hot afternoon. That was obvious, as the max temperatures here in Hyderabad are >45
From variable Bhps to a constant 17.6 Bhp.

No issue at all, my colleagues have already explained the reason. I rarely drive in the traffics on ZMR. And has never felt it. Yes in sunny afternoon if you are slow on road and higher on gears ... it will heat up. It's common across all bikes ... I have almost covered 2k kms and have reached a milestone of second servicing. As on date no major issues related to engine, economy and comfort ( that is what the bike is meant for ... Sports-tourer )...

                            • Hey guys I have bought the ZMR(Black) 2 months back, I have done 2000 kms and completed one service only. I have made tops of 115Kmph till now I have not yet gone to a Long Ride waiting for the summer to cool up and test the top speed but I personally felt it is strugling at 115 may be not correct I am all tensed up to observe as I am driving in the City at that time and there is traffic around me..

The looks of the bike are rocking, the most amazing thing I observed is that even girls are looking at the bike with astonishment(leave alone guys)......

I am feeling the heat(not burining just a hint of it) when riding in the traffic of Hyderabad, but while riding in free roads the bike is normal and excellent... the handling is superb.... I have made a 360 degree turn @ 60+kmph almost laying flat on road and made smaller turns at 100kmph... its really excellent...

ZMR guys from Hyd need some advice.. I am not satisfied with the service @ our showroom can anyone suggest a place of Hero Honda @ Hyd to get it serviced.......

Finally I would like to add that people expecting ZMR to be a performance bike are wrong...it is a tourer and a very good one at it....
All the wise men of the world are called wise only after they spoke their mind, so dont keep the ideas to yourselves!
