I have never bothered to put a relay though! My running is high. 52 km daily. 26 of it is at night with full use of headlamps + blinkers + horn. No issues.

P.S - you'd get a slightly better illumination with the relay in place, but that *might* melt the reflector. I guess Ravi anna may clarify on this. Tagging @ravi@17bhp here.

well in that case i shud not install a relay then coz my daily run is just 12kms of which 6kms is at night that too in city full of lights

Your daily running has nothing to do with installing relays. Anyways first get your battery charged n verify. 👍

Well the horn stopped working all of a sudden while commuting to office. Connectors are in place. Wiring seems ok. Any ideas? All other electricals are working. Horn worked in the morning as well. Just that it stopped mid way to office.

Connect a led or something to connectors and check if power supply is intact. If no then probably ur horn switch connectors are burnt.

Edit - My bike coneset conked and no stock 😠

Old model splendor (<1998) has direct fit cone sets.

Front fork oil seal and cone-set broke. Gave the bike for service at Rishi Motors , Whitefield. Hope they will do a decent job.

They said they will try to source the cone-set but at present they can't assure. Regarding old splendor cone-set, they are not ready to accept

Probably I will get the bike from them and then trouble you

. These days not happy with the behavior of my bike.

Lot of jerks, knocking, not smooth, hard gearshifts.

Injectors, chain sprocket, tappet clearances may need inspection and cleaning!

Will update post completion of service from Rishi motors. I have a feel that it is because of fuel. Recently I had to fill fuel in rural area, from then it all started I guess.

Horn issue solved!

It was a messed up connector. Replaced the end connectors from both horns. Also, tuned the horn a bit. Now it shrieks.

Also, in the absence of *cheaper* Osram NB in the market, I opted for Hella 55w 4400 K H4 bulbs. Time to light up the highway!
MRP - 1000 rupees a pair, I haggled for 800.

P.P.S - The output is NOT blue-ish at all.

It broke during installation (fell along with the spanner on the floor). Hence I kept quiet and never posted.
