I don't think there is any point of reboring the engine to 535cc cause I believe you need extra power and RE engine is not meant for high rpm. So rebuilding to 535 won't fetch you much power.

And if you want serious power then think of performance mods to the engine, like making it V-twin by clubbing two 500cc blocks. That is a big task but would surely give you massive amounts of power.

      Thanks vivek for your views.
Actually there are people who had done, reboring, carb conversion, free flow exhaust and k and n filter for extra power in their uce500.
With ECU your options are limited for classic 500. With carb it will be other game altogether.

I actually wanted to know your expectations from the mod.

See Royal Enfield won't satisfy you if you need high speed. Cause if you somehow would get high speed, then stability and braking would be an issue.

I meant if you need outright power then go ahead with massive mods. Tweaking here and there won't do much.

One of my friend did same with his NA palio 1.6l S10 and sent it to Chennai for turbo installation, he spent 4 lakh and now is happy with the power.

No i dont want high speed. Just need total outright performance, the way to reach 100kmph is what i want.

Infact i am having palio 1.6. Spending 4lakh rupee on palio doesn't make any sense at all. For the same price he could have get a used tjet which cimes with more safety features.

You are a member in mfw.in also right??

I don't want to go off topic but t-jet can't compete with S10 that too turbo charged. He already has many performance machines. And spending on palio is a different level, everyone can't understand that. I have many friends who did spent on palio 1.6. One friend got wheels worth of 1.4 lakh (BBS) for his S10.

Can you elaborate on what you want to achieve? More top speed or better pickup or both.
Mods can be planned according to that, however just understand one thing, this is a never ending process. It keeps on going

Better pickup is what i am looking. Actually i planned to buy a karizma or aprlia sr150 for my daily bangalore bumber to bumber traffic use. Stopped the plan after the handle change. Thanks to you.
This was the first mod i done on my bull.
After that i am feeling like, bull has so much potential and can be customized according to my need. Thats why i posted my query.

If you are looking for the better inital pickup and not worried about top end performance then I would suggest to use front sprocket from electra (I guess 15 tooth).
The idea is to reduce the size of front sprocket, it will increase your initial pickup and reduce top speed.

Note:- I am not sure about the number of tooth in front sprocket. Please verify before going ahead.

Regarding re-boring to 535, I don't know why but many specialized mechanics has advised against it.

                    Regards

                        Hi,

I am planning to purchase my first bike in budget of 2 lacs. I will use the bike as occasional cruising and bike should be easy for Delhi traffic. I am confused between RE bikes and Mahindra Mojo.
I heard lot of things for both bike. I watched all the reviews read the complete thread.

                        Pro:
If I talk about RE It's name has legacy in it's simple and powerful machine and popular too. If I purchase RE classic today I can see that bike in my garage after 10 years. I am sure RE classic will be with me for ages, I seen RE 10-15yr old and still working. Simple built allow yourself to do some maintenance. It looks great package to me.

                        Con:
But In other side when I see that loud thump which could be good at lower speeds and for short rides but I dont think at speed of 90-100 (whic is the best speed for RE bikes for longer distances) that thump sounds good. According to owners review RE is not reliable machine common problem like oil leaks, clutch wire, false neutral, gear problem, engine knocking sound, vibration in handle etc.

                        Second Bike: Mahindra Mojo.

                        Pro:
Looks not very popular I can see so many bikes on road but on paper is far away from RE in every manner smooth engine better power output, No vibration.
Handling is good for city traffic, better tier all parts are imported, decent built quality. Higher spped of cruising and lot more.

                        Con:
Long term reliability, low city mileage in comparison to RE, complex engine needed skilled technician.

I am confusied which bike should I go, Please suggest if is there any other bike which I can consider.

                        Thanks

                            Dear Biker,

Go for RE only if you love RE. Anything else will just leave you baffled at the first sign of the smallest trouble.

That being said, the newer Generation of RE dont have Oil Leaks, or starting troubles. The Thump, is pretty much muted even at 100 kmph, unless you have changed the default exhaust for a louder one.

The Mojo, well is just a way too different bike to be comparing these two together.

An RE is largely a revamped version of a classic era bike. You can just compare it volume by volume to other bikes.

Got my bull's second service done day before yesterday, would like to tell you guys that the bull's character has changed completely, it's much refined now, gear shifts has become much better, followed by pickup.

I was literally riding it like my apache RTR, full of twists and turns. Thump also has become better. Loving it even more now. I think I would also be moving to Motul 300v, after some time if warranty permits.

Forgot to mention that RE replaced the scratched mud guard which I pointed at the time of taking delivery of my bull under warranty.
