    Hello guys , Need little help here starting a dead Classic 500 EFI
    I am well versed with other bikes but dead when it comes to REs

    History : Good maintained bike, intermittent use , unused from 2-3 months . Batt dead with half tank of fuel.

    Problem : We connected the batt to car battery and MIL came on and switched off. Couldnt start .
    After which MIL didnt light up again.
    Fuel pump was priming nevertheless and so was the spark.

    Any idea why MIL didnt glow or reasons behind this behavior.
    PS : Any Hyderabad RE member can help me with this , will be obliged.

      Brother Don't start By Car *batt* Its harmful for your EFI 500....i Have simple & one Suggestion you Can remove Your 500 EFI battery....And Take....Re Service Centre....And leave for 3 to 4 Hour For charging.......ok.after 4 hours take battery by service Centre ...and go home attached the battery perfect with wire.....and key & switch on your bike...You can see bike fuel injecter is working.....after key on but ignition Red switch off and please To your engine 5 to 6 blank kick....and switch on ignition button...after fuel inject and kick start.....pm me if queries.

        I have used RD handle bar and it is too good for comfort. Just check if it suits your height
        I am selling it because I already have 2 other exhaust and this exhaust doesn't suit my current mods

          Hello everyone.
          I'm new to this thread. I already have a RC 390, so not new to this forum as I keep posting on that thread.
          I recently got my Classic 500 EFI. I'll change the exhaust after the run in period (500 KMS). So, I need a suggestion from you all. Please suggest me a good exhaust which is loud and has a good bass too. My friend has a C500 too. I've seen his Moto Torque exhaust named 'Launcher'. It sounds good enough. I'm not restricted by budget. I like the launcher exhaust but I can't get it installed on my bike also as he already has one.

            Don't change the muffler so soon, I also have owned a SB500 recently and approx 1250 kms on the Odo.
            I am looking for moto torque shark muffler for my bull but strictly after 3000 kms.
            Moto torque shark is a bassy exhaust, have heard it on 350 only, but I believe that it's gonna sound much better on 500.

                I have heard only shark, launcher, mini megaphone and wild bore and linked shark most, though launcher is also good.

                You can check RRP also or khalidari too, but never got the chance to listen them so can't recommend. But do have a look at them.

                But don't change before 1000 kms.

                And don't call me "Sir" bro I am also new to RE and only 29.

                  Why dont you check out the Red-Rooster performance exhaust. My friend has it installed on this TBTS500, it sounds sooper seksy. But I find it a bit too loud when running inside city limits within closed streets.

                    Guys it's a pleasure to be a part of XBhp, I believe this is my first ownership thread.

                    I have already posted a lot of details about my buying and owning experience here on different threads. But cause I didn't found any SB500 thread till now, so I thought that why don't I start one.

                    So guys would like to tell you all that I wanted to own a RE since long, but was addicted to car since last 5-6 years and was using bike (2007 apache RTR ) occasionally.

                    But recently I left my job and thought of starting my own business and due to that I usually have to travel in the areas of narrow streets or crowded areas. Where driving a car was not a good idea. In the starting I used to take my apache RTR but I must tell you all that now apache RTR gives me pain in the wrist and back.

                    So it was decided that I am getting a RE classic but 350/500 was a big confusion. And I wanted my RE to be matte.

                    So had two options either to get black classic 350 and get it painted to matte black or get classic 500 desert storm /squadron blue.

                    My wifey insisted to opt for the later one, but I was again confused due to issues EFi has. Read a lot of threads over different forums.

                    At last decided that whatever happens I would choose what I like doesn't matter whatever happen later. At least I would be assured that I bought what I liked.

                    So went ahead and booked SB500 at Kay's Auto GT karnal road, and asked them to give me the bike on 12th of July(my birthday), but to be very frank it was an experience like we used to have in some government office 6-7 years back.

                    After some 2 weeks I went to see my friend at his office (benelli showroom) and came to know that there is a RE showroom behind benelli. So we went ahead for another round of TD.

                    It was Lamba and as soon as we entered the showroom we were immediately attended by a gentleman and he started to explain about bikes. Now I was feeling like a customer.

                    He told me some technical-stuff and showed me online RE generated receipts. That moment when I thought that I did some mistake by booking at Kay's Auto.

                    That gentleman asked me if I wants to book the bike, (now I wanted to book here and cancel at Kay's Auto ), I simply asked him if he can offer us TD of both 350 and 500 classic only. He instantly gave us classic 350 and I rode it found it to be fine later I asked him about 500 now he told me that currently he don't have TD vehicle of 500. Then I insisted and he asked me for a couple of minutes and came back with a chrome with Moto Torque Shark muffler on it. I took the TD and I must tell you guys that there was a huge difference between both the bikes. It made my choice even stronger.

                    Came back to the showroom and booked the bike again, SB500.

                    Applied for cancellation at Kay's Auto after couple of days, I didn't went personally but sent my friend cause Kay's Auto was near to his home.

                    Experience with Kay's Auto was not good at all finally had to complain about the dealer at RE to get the refund.

                    Finally on 6 or 7th of July I made all the payments at Lamba but I noticed a strange thing at Lamba that those people asked me to submit the receipts while taking the delivery of vehicle, it was strange and I didn't liked this thing. And to my surprise the owner (or may be brother of owner) of Lamba (as far as I know) had an argument with me over this. He was saying that I'll give you xerox of receipts and will take back the original receipts I was annoyed due to his arguments and asked him that I'll give you xerox of money which I am paying then I'll surely accept the receipts in xerox and left the showroom.

                    Later had a chat on 11th of July with Mr Piyush and told his about this. He assured me that he'll take care of everything. Which he actually did while I took my bike on 12th of July as scheduled.

                    I must tell you all that during all these things Mr Iqbal was the sales person at lamba standing besides me and I believe a true sales person always stands besides his clients. So Mr Iqbal saved the experience from being ruined.

                    Now guys I believe I have already written a lot and I think it's the time for some pics.
















                    Already completed 1000 kms. Now Odo stands at 1268 kms.



                    Bike is still completely stock, no accessories has been added till date obviously cause me being busy.

                    Looking to get

                    Crash guard,

                    Moto torque shark muffler,

                    Need Both seats to be comfy so would replace them too,

                    I am open to suggestions so please pour in guys.

                        I had RRP exhaust in my mind. I like it but the main concern is its a free flow exhaust. And currently, my bike is new. So, I don't want to harm the engine. Being an FFE, it will not create back pressure. So, this is the main concern for the RRP exhaust.
                        Looking for more suggestions from the members and experienced riders.

                          Hi Mandar,

                          According which exhaust is good, which is street legal also.
                          I am not keen on very loud noise, But if it can provide good BASS it is okay, and it shouldn't affect FE also.
                          For FFE whether different air intake is required??

                          Tomorrow i am planning to get RD Handle bar. Will update the status.

                          I am keeping my mind open for some performance modification also, without affecting engine reliability. Any idea on this?

                            If you are looking for performance then stick to stock exhaust. If sound and performance then goldstar or wildbore with glass wool.

                              I'm confused between the Moto Torque's Launcher and Sans' Goldstar GW and Wild boar GW. I've heard the launcher's sound and I like it too but never heard the Goldstar or wild boar.
                              Which one according to you will be the best?

                                I have never heard of moto torque' s exhaust.
                                I would suggest to use wildbore from shakil or Pune goldstar
