  • Back pain issue

    Hi bulls,

I am expecting my CL350 towards end of this year (waiting this long is real pain), during which all these dukes, pulsars (ns) and even impulses are distracting me as the waiting is negligible. How ever the love of Bull has kept me away from them so far.

I have been going through ownership threads of RE classic, one common problem I find reported by people is the 'back pain' issue with classic family. Any comments on this? Any experiences Pls share... I need a machine where I can sit up right and wont give any back pain.. I am not going to go long trips on this.. will be using it for day to day commute (around 30 -50 kms) and week end fun (around 10 - 20kms).

Also please tell me if changing the seat has helped anyone... thanks in advance..
Its crime to ride a car alone, so I ride bike :).

Oh god.. thats a worry for me. I am a desperate bull lover in a long waiting Q to get my 350. I thought the new zappers where to add more value to the bull. Sad to know that they are not up to the mark. My confidence to hang on to the bull goes down day by day.. and the new launces (dukes, pulsars, impulses are tempting me)

Go ahead, change the tyre as per requirement, so why worry so much.

Michelin Sirac is not available here in Jaipur (May be I have to search more)

@lovish and @ExperimentalHead: Thank you for appreciating my work.

It was my old Helmet which redone by me to suit Classic Chrome..total cost excluding helmet is around rs.500 for paint, rs.300 for radium work, Rs.450 for the Glass (the front Royal enfield logo cost more as single logo was not possible so had to print 20 of them for rs.480 for Eco-solvent sheet)

Would post my previous helmet photos as well...

                    • Firstly I decided to keep Simple Theme as Royal Enfiled is a Legendary Bike.
So you can see the Helmet hold Basic but Bold Graphics. I started the process with the logo and other graphic on a paper, then when it was finalized i took the Helmet to the Paint shop where i removed the inner and the glass, Painter took 2 days time to paint till then i started working on the Graphics and went to the radium shop where i told him my requirement which he did. Then for the front RE logo it took one day. Bought the mercury glass for Rs.450. Then third day went to paint shop to collect the helmet, paint quality was good(had used a Maruti Alto maroon color).
Time to take helmet and paste the graphics, tough job took 4 hours for cutting and pasting. Then next day again after graphic done took the helmet to paint shop for a final lacquer quote...Now kept two days to let the lacquer dry, now the glass fit and inner fitting was done. After completing when in the morning saw it , was very happy that finally the target was achieved.

Now time was to wait for the delivery of the bike, was surprised to get the call from showroom a week prior from the commitment ...

                        • Guys today I got a penture in the rear tyre of my classic.... as the tyre is mrf zapper so I took it straight to MRF Tyre showroom... there was a neil in the tyre... the tube has two hole... one a bit big and just below it one equal. To a small needle.... the showroom guy said its the tube can't be fixed as the two holes are parallel and one may leak soon so they would have to change it... I smelled something fishy but still I said go ahead

I asked the price.. he replied its. 450 for tube + 60 service charges... I had read somewhere on xbhp that the tube of bullet costs 300 and I conveyed the same to him but he replied in 300 you get the splender tube not Bullet's... so I got the tube changed and took the old tube with me

When coming back I showed the tube to old penture uncle near our home... he said "MRF shoeroom has noone to put the penture.. so they just sell the tube to everyone... this tube can easily pentured.. the charges he asked are 50 for big one and 25 for small"

Now I am in a dillema that did MRF guys actually looted me...

                          Please help

                          Thanks

Is there any way to fit tubeless tyres of same profile(I guess the profile is same as that of 220) onto those good looking chrome spoke rims??
