It is located exactly below the tank..You will have to take help of mechanic to dismount the tank.

      • What fuel to go for...premium(higher octane) or normal one for P135????

I've read somewhere that engines with higher compression ratio runs better on fuel with higher ocatne value(xtra premium,speed)P135's engine having compression ratio of 9.8:1(higher than p220,p150,p180,apache 180 etc... ) will it perform better....???Any P135 owner tried it...?? felt any difference...??

        • though im a newbie at bikes i face a lot of problems

          1) the engine starts sounding weird and the bike shakes after 50(4k rpm @5th gear)..

2)the gears are hard even after the 1st svc, completed almost 530kms..

          3) when i filled petrol initially the cost for full tank was approx. Rs 900, divide it by 70 and its almost 12 litres of fuel :O, whereas the manual says that the bike has only 8 litres capacity...

4)faulty fuel meter, it indicates something for a while and then changes, getting an accurate value is impossible./...

Higher ratio refers to above 10:1

Also since your system is carb. based and has 4 valves. Using power or normal fuel makes no difference. Except perhaps the power fuel will keep your spark plug soot free. I would suggest you use normal Shell petrol which is more than sufficient. Don't spend more on those xtra mile fuel.

Its typical with all Bajaj gearbox, they are hard to press.

Next time fill at another place.

4)faulty fuel meter, it indicates something for a while and then changes, getting an accurate value is impossible....Fuel meter shows values when fuel line is set "ON" position and on flat roads. Sudden braking and change inslope or bending bike shows variations.

Ans 1. You definitely need to get it checked at SVC. How old is your bike (in terms of km and days/months/years).

Ans 2. They have probably adjusted the clutch play wrongly. Get it done correctly at a local mechanic(preferably) / svc. There is nothing wrong with the gearbox.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

I too am still in the run-in phase. Just completed 2 services. I travel at around 45-70kmph speed and get around 53 mileage. I will surely get back to you with the top speed thing after about two months when I get my 3rd service done and go for the yamalube semi synth oil change (as of now I am using mineral as its the best to run in the bike engine)!!
