Please get it checked asap..cuz pulsar 135 has the smoothest gear shifts of all the bikes i have ridden..if the servicing people say it happening cuz its new bike tell them it was fine earlier suddenly its become hard :P theyll get it checked then i guess it might be a clutchplate issue not sure though!

get your clutch properly adjusted...it may be over tightened....and if required change the engine oil
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

      • anybody please help me out regarding my headlights and pilot lamps. I want to change all three lamps to higher wattage lamps like Osram Nightbreaker or any other. Do I have to change wiring for that and has anyone done it in Kolkata? How much will be the price?

Ya i went there last sunday... got it done... its quite far but thats OK... the srvc was good..

A new problem: I got a fuel lock from Castrol BZ this sunday, its working fine when I put it in off(i.e. bike stopping) but when I had very low fuel in my tank (less thn reserve) still the bike runs with fuel lock pointing to ON, I thought may be the ON and RESERVE mark are wrongly marked on the lock and I tried pointing to both the markers for 5 kms each and still the bike was running... Has anyone had any such issues with petrol locks??
please help else I need to go again another 16kms to the svc

          • hey guys i'm new here, brought a p135(black) a week back, completed 100kms, the gears seem to be hard, and i am not sure about what exactly to do during the run-in period.

any reason why you got a new fuel lock?? the stock one works fine BZ that will be too far to travel..maybe the bike still has fuel when its set to ON..try to run the bike till the point when the bike stops.. then turn the knob to reserve..the red light on the console indicating low fuel is very inaccurate...

Yes ofcourse the stock one works fine, but not enough against petrol theft . So I got a petrlo LOCK in place of stock nob.
I know the redlight is not accurate and usually I get a reserve after 10-15kms from redlight. the point is, I did not get reserve-jerks even after 40kms of redlight and I was aware that the petrol is low for sure.

Nothing to worry about, and changing it won't help either.Happened with me too, fuel is in reserve but bike still runs on "ON" some distance before jerking to a stop that's cos there is some petrol left in the fuel pipes and you tank must be on verge of coming to reserve that's why it ran for 5 kms

Ya that cud happen for say 2kms(worst case 5km) but for me, I even checked it for more than 10kms and still its not getting jerks... I know for sure that the lock is not fitted properly or the tap of the lock is faulty... Thank god the off position works fine or else the whole idea behind the lock wud have been in vain....
will get it done at the SVC only...

                    • Recently my disc used to make screeching noise when pushing the bike while parking etc, the bike was moving freely though, now the disc break lever jams, goes in when i press it but doesn't come back out when i release it, break light is always on and the wheel locks up and i have to twist the throttle harder to get the bike moving again what could be wrong? do i need to change the major kit ? minor kit? and what could be the cost involved...mechanics here are giving me really different prices bajaj asking for 1300 some other for 350 man just 8 months in and 5500 kms on the odo

Worn out disc pads can cause this. Get it checked. Also check whether the dsic has got warped/bent in any place which could be a major problem then as you need to get the disc changed.

Even I had this issue! It was a faulty disc brake lever spring...cost involved is around Rs.250-300. Nothing more than that. There is a small spring right below the Brake fluid holder...when u press this, the brake light glows...when u leave it,the brake lever goes back to its position. But now the spring isnt working properly and u need to get it changed.also,ur front tyre is jammed by the disc brake.Tell service people to take out the brake caliper and clean it properly. Things will be ok. dont worry if u don't get much gripping power after they cleanup the brake caliper.it will take some time to get full grip.also, use the foot brake as well.Use front and rear brakes together for stopping.
