helo guys just want to know whats the best motorcycle oil you are using for your pulsar 135ls? did the bajaj manufacturer their in india advice the use of synthetic oil or rather use mineral oil ? pls share your knowledge with this matter
can you advice of a specific brand considering of its availability and price

After my first free service @ 500 Km, I found Bajaj did nothing and the bike was sluggish. I took it to a Castrol Bike zone after I covered 1250 Km and got the premium Rs.250 service done on my bike. Now its brilliant and I also got the engine oil changed to Castrol Active Extra 20W50. The bike runs without any issues now and I went upto 120Kmph. Its brilliantly smooth now.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

Problems!!! Plz help me!!
1)My bike doesnt give good average..it is in 45-50, that too if i maintain it carefully like, only 1 person riding, correct air pressure in tyres, less that 60kmph and etc..
2)At the Same time, it Has PickUp just like Passion plus..., Some times i feel passion plus is better, but Some times , it gives pickup like a 125cc bike like stunner..
3)When i release accelerator, it suddenly Decelerates and backfires a very little bit,
The same happens when i release clutch, and when i ride in first gear..
4)Suspesnsions are the worst..It is just like a Gear Bi-cycle with suspensions..
5)when is start bike, it Doesnt start even by doing kick start.I have to raise the accelerator and start..
6)when the bike is started , idle rpm will will be 1, but when i drive for 10-15 km, it goes to 1.6rpm and after some time, it goes beyond 1 rpm and the engine will stall..(I recently poured motul 15w50 semi-synthetic)
7)While riding the bike, even with lots of petrol, it is happening like, the bike is going to stop as if it is going to fall in Reserve..that is it knocks
8)Engine will be very smooth at the begining when i start for first time on the day, but after riding to some extent, it will become some what differnet and wont be as smooth as first....
9)Also the Bike vibrates a lot,i feel i am in lesser gear thought i am in 5th gear...
My legs feel the vibrations and i fell so bad about it

The Answers for 2,3,5,7,8,9 are U should get your carburetor checked ASAP! Get it tuned correctly..At present it seems like the fuel/air mixture is very lean, making the bike stall,not run smooth,bad pickup,feeling of bike not having petrol even when its there,bike not starting etc All because the required amount of fuel is not reaching the engine when its needed..
1) Fuel efficiency depends on how u ride and also if u followed Run-in correctly..do you rip around occasionally? i get a mileage of 50-55 usually with ripping once or twice a week..i asked other p135 owners on the roads..most of them get 40-50 with speeding around in a city like bangalore where traffic rules are violated in plenty
4) You can adjust the suspension..make it more soft for all the potholes

6) The engine rpm variation doesnt depend on the engine oil..none the less keep changing engine oil and oil filter every 2500kms..its good for the engine..If your carb is tuned correctly u can say bye bye to the changing rpms
9) Yes there are vibrations but only around 6k rpm..at all the other rpms its smooth in the sense i dont feel any vibrations in my legs..shocked that even after putting a semi synthetic oil like motul u still feel vibrations
At what rpms do u feel vibrations?

Dont worry everything willl be alryt. Just get ur carb properly tuned and change the oil to 10w30/10W40/20W40 next time. Kuch to gadbad hai,itna to meri cbz-x b de deti hai.By d way d very first thing to be done is CARB tuning. get it done on a good outside mech,and dont let them feel k u r a newbie.just tell them to adjust the CARB.

May be due to THICKER engine oil.(10W50 is really thick man,that tooo for a 135 cc bike). I hope u understand the VISCOUSITY

Thicker oil will though reduce the high temp but it would also reduce the smooth movement of internal parts (espcially for a lower CC bikes 135/150 ).

May b carb problem.

I guess those are set up for the STIFFest position,Adjust them for smoother ride.Search ur toolbox for that Shocker adjuster

Imagine clapping with grease/honey on ur hands,Tuff na.Same thing. More Force (Throttle) required to keep on clapping.(Engine running)

Idle RPM after start is normal to be 1, after warming up it should be around 1.5, 1.6. if its varying too much , Carb tuning required as mentioned earlier.

Check for the AIR filter INTAKE pipe,one of those 2 pipes hanging down ur bike. also check ur air filter (shuldnt be the issue ).

xx can be anything <= 20 for my bike..
if i use xxw40, at higher revs or high temp, the engine wont be cooled properly and engine will be worned..
