A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

    • I bought 2 NGK Iridium spark plugs for my Bajaj Pulsar from PlanetDSG last week, which set me back by Rs.1295. The model number of the spark plugs are CR9EIX as chosen from PlanetDSG's website corresponding to my bike model.
When I went to get them fitted in to my bike at the Bajaj service center - they told me this model is meant for the Pulsar 150 and 180 and they said it would cause problems in my bike and refused to fit it.
I then went to a Castrol Bike Zone center which is reputed to have very good and skillful mechanics. They told me the length of the NGK iridium is greater than the standard factory kitted BOSCH spark plugs and said it would cause problems if I decided to fit it to the bike. It would damage the pistons and the engine the mechanics said. I asked them to fit it and start the bike -- the bike sounded funny and they quickly removed the spark plugs and asked me to return them. I took their word since the mechanic who advised me against the NGK iridium and decided to fit the spark plugs into my bike was at that time servicing a Ninja 650.
Has anyone tried using NGK Iridium CR9EIX spark plugs for their Pulsar 135? Is it true it will ruin the engine? Kindly post your experiences if you have used this spark plug. Also is it recommended to use the NGK Iridium CR9EIX?

          • I wanna change my pilot lamps and Headlamp...after around 1.5 years of usage, the pilot lamps have become yellowish. I also like those green-coloured pilot lamps...but very doubtful about the longevity of the lights.Where do I get these in Kolkata and for how much? And do I have to change the wiring system or electricals? I don't wanna drain my battery due to change of headlamps. Since,am a newbie biker, really scared. Cost of Osram Nightbreaker please?

Bike is still butter smooth. gear shifting is flawless when in motion. Big problem finding neutral while standing still .

                  Now the real bad thing.
I did the first free service @ Suryoday Bajaj, Goregaon, Mumbai. I was not willing to do it there but had no choice. Any guesses what they did???

1). Changed the Oil & Oil Filter
                  2). washed the bike.
                  3). Lubed the chain.
                  4). That's it.
I didn't said a word then as i was in hurry. got the bike serviced again after 3 days from my local mech.

I wanted to know one more thing.
The stock headlight is not sufficient for night riding. Can anyone suggest me a replacement. I am totally noob about this. I read somewhere Osram Nightbreaker is a good one. Please advise.
stock light is really dull...pulsar 135 have complete dc electrical system..so you can fit an h4 35w 4300k(bixenon is preferred) hid which wold be plug and play,no mods required. running a nightbreaker or any bulb above 35w will require modification like coil rewinding etc plus there is a chance of the rewound coil and battery going dead.if you can afford it get an projector for the hid
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

                      • I wanted to reach the top speed of my bike today..i have reached 100 before but never gone over it..so went for a ride on the bangalore international airport road..but could only reach a max of 90kmph

At what rpm should i shift gears to reach top speed or peak power of the bike??

Is it because of a leaner carb tuning that the bike dint perform well??

Could the insane amount of winds be the reason that the bike couldnt reach top speed???

Is there an rpm limiter on the pulsar 135ls?

What could be the reason? please help

the rpm limiter is at 10.5k..
as far as i know try maximum rpm in each gear..i've done 115kmph max, but it can do more..

there's no point in redlining. the bike develops max power at 9000rpm, so shift just over 9000rpm. winds could also be the reason. you have to duck to have minimum wind resistance
