Rather than rattling is it kind of a high pitch scratching sound? If that's the case then it could be the gudgeon pin.

Either way it would be best to get a second opinion, since you're from Trivandrum, drop by for the next weekly G2G at Manaveeyam Road and we'll all have a look.
The rattling sound was from the engine and my first impression was that may be a valve was loose or something since after running for 3-4 minutes it would quite down to normal.

Thanks for the invite but i wont be able to make it since i have a baby on the way...
So needed the bike repaired asap as i would be running around a lot.

Had the service guys repair it. They opened the cylinder head in front of me. The piston indeed was damaged. Thanks god the bore of the cylinder was safe.
Also i think the engine oil level was a little low so that might be the culprit.

Will get the bike by tomorrow. Now i will have to again do the run in procedure for the next 500kms. Thats just so annoying as it is so hard to control the urge.

    Once again thanks ashwin.

Good to know that your bike is running again. As a rule of thumb I make it a point to replace the cylinder kit as a whole reason being considering your current mileage it would'nt be far along before your liner goes out of clearance and a rebore is something I would not recommend simply considering the workmanship in India.

As for run in, dont bother much about it, as only the rings are new, the mating process woulld be done with within the first 15~50kms, ride as you normally do without of course going apeshit crazy on the throttle!(J.K)

And congratulations for the baby! Do hope to see you around some time once things settle down.

It can not be made liquid cooled. And I GUESS you can retrofit oil cooler as people have already retrofitted oil cooler in the motorcycles like in Apache, FZ etc.

Thanks for the response. I will see someone who can do it perfectly. I was also thinking of retrofitting apache 200v engine guard/hood under my bike if it can be done as i have seen many from Phillipines have fitted other engine guard/hood in their rouser. Reason for choosin of apache 200 4v engine guard/hood is because of it's look.
Don't know weather it will fit or not.

Hello guys, While turing the ignition ON my new Pulsar135 digital display showing false neautral indicator light but engine cranks in gear. It's happening occasionally not always. What may be the reason.? Is it a problem of gearbox or digitalmeter display? Advice and suggestions please.!

There's a wire situated near your gear lever which sends the information to the computer. Get it checked.

Guys, is it ok if removing rubber hose under the rider seat. The Mechanic said, there will be impact on the mileage. Is it true?

                                Hi Guyzz,

This will be my last post in this thread as i have sold my baby P135. I have exchanged it for Avenger 220 Street now.
The ride of 6.5 yrs was very nice with P135 and i would have continued using it has it not been my body that had started complaining constantly.
As i ride near about 100kms daily the slightly aggressive crouching ride position has been creating back problems for me. Guess i am getting old huh...

Also my family has a new member now and we need a more practical bike also.
You all guyzz have been very helpful to me whenever i had problems with my P135.

Many thanks and hope this thread keeps on going.

                                Take care everyone.
