Re: Great with little glitches
Dude,i completed around 45K km in this bike.iam still having that kick and self start problem.Daily i spend atleast 30 min to do 1 kick start. So always i have a terrible morning.Iam not sure what to do,recently only i changed all my 2 spark plugs but iam not able to find the issue. And also i observed that the bikes RPM goes to 6K whenn i start automatically. This is my real bad experience. Its still not over i fought with the manager when i bought the bike.Full of manufacturing defects. In the showroom i saw bunch of P135's parked at a corner.i asked him why all those were parked over there,he dint reply.Later i came to Know that all those bikes nearly 32 of them were defective.Should have noted that before i made my payment and unfortunetly Mine too was defective.I asked him then why dont you test all quality issues before you dispatch it.replied"Sir this is not our mistake sir,its company responsibility" i asked him that i will pay extra money and get P150.he said "Sorry sir since bike has been registered we cannot exchange for the other one".couldnt do anything and left that place then and there itself.Originally posted by rajeshjsl View Post

SO there is no compression loss in the chamber. That is good news.Originally posted by rajeshjsl View Postthe autochoke works for like 3 seconds and then rpm goes to 0 , if i give any throttle , it immediately goes to zero .
the kick rod doesn't move freely though , its normal and hard as it should be .
dont know what seems to be the problem , and i only get time on saturdays so .....
U might be facing a carburetor overflow issue, we have that same problem in my dad's Chetak..Originally posted by rajeshjsl View Postwill try the switching off the petrol cock tomorrow but if it was the case , why does it then takes again 3-4 kicks and 2-3 self starts again at 5:30pm when i leave the office .
..
Carb tuning is best done while the engine is running. Most bikes are shipped with their carburetors set to a lean mixture. My guess is the svc tech must have tuned the mixture to a richer side so that the engine does not have a problem turning over.Originally posted by rajeshjsl View Posti told the guy abt the problem at svc and he just turned the screw clockwise (of the carburator not the idling screw , idling is fine its 1500-1700 on warmed up engine) .
but he did the carb settings when the bike was off and not in running position , wtf ? i suppose those settings are to be done when the bike is running ?
now i'm concerned , my experience with everything costly i buy has turned bad , my first costly phone - bad camera , my first laptop - dead on arrival , my first bike - god knows wtf is going on
My advice is to write to Bajaj's Customer Care at [email protected] or fill out an online customer complaint form on their website http://www.bajajauto.com/customer_care.asp. Since your bike is still in warranty there should not be much of an issue to get a replacement for any faulty part. They really listen to us customers, the Bajaj guys. You will have to provide details like the vehicle number, your contact number and permanent address. They will call you back asking you to explain the problem.

Dude it saddens me so much to know the ordeal you are going through on a daily basis. I myself have clocked 45k kms with my baby but I never had any starting problems. Have you persistently faced cold start issues or is it an intermittent issue?? Could you explain more about that??Originally posted by anadarco7 View PostDude,i completed around 45K km in this bike.iam still having that kick and self start problem.Daily i spend atleast 30 min to do 1 kick start. In the showroom i saw bunch of P135's parked at a corner.i asked him why all those were parked over there,he dint reply.Later i came to Know that all those bikes nearly 32 of them were defective.Should have noted that before i made my payment and unfortunately Mine too was defective.I asked him then why dont you test all quality issues before you dispatch it.replied"Sir this is not our mistake sir,its company responsibility" i asked him that i will pay extra money and get P150.he said "Sorry sir since bike has been registered we cannot exchange for the other one".couldnt do anything and left that place then and there itself.

its an intermittent issue? You want believe this yesterday while driving suddenly brakes started to shake .Though i drive only at 50-55Kmph.Suddenly the brake pressing shue fell apart. Thanks to GOD i wsa driving at a corner side if not my photo would have been in the obituary page next day.SO i pushed the vehicle for nearly 1km to a mechanic shop and ot it fixed he said to sell this bike as soon as possible. The parts are getting weaker.'Now after getting fixed while i was about to reach my home suddenly the clutch wont work and iam not able to shift gears from 1st to 2nd.Now iam stuck here.i have thrown my bike at the corner. This is my real bad experience.Sorry NOM"In my life i will never buy this bajaj products'.Why iam saying this i like the initial 150 series which bajaj released first. But now there quality products have become more worst. The P135's battery covers seems to vibrate when i travel at 60kmph.Iam planning to sell mine and go for Yamaha R6Originally posted by sp33dfr33k View PostSO there is no compression loss in the chamber. Re: Great with little glitches
guys , i'm just now facing a new issue , suddenly from last two days my engine braking has become too much strong ,
its like if i'm in first gear at 14kmph and give 0 throttle , no clutch press , the bike stops just after 1-2 metres , its like someone is pressing a front brake .
i checked the front brakes on the center stand , although the brake pads are touching , it revolves for aroung 1.5 revolutions and bike runs well if clutch is pressed , its only
creating problem when i give 0 throttle and no clutch press , its like my engine is braking very hard , it was fine few days ago , but now not .
now i'm really concerned , the bike has 220km on odo now , what could be the problem for this ? my palms are feeling bad because of this engine braking hard .
the only changes made to the bike was 4 days ago , air fuel ratio was increased (bike ran fine for next 2 days even after this ratio change) , the other change
was in the petrol from a different station (took two litres while some litres were there in bike) . can petrol change cause this problem ??
guys , i need some help ..
Thanks !!Last edited by rajeshjsl; 09-19-2013, 07:59 PM.

Re: Great with little glitches
guys ,
my odo is 250km and for this the mileage is 30kmpl , wtf ? !!
also while i was riding today , the fuel meter was full , no reserve indication and suddenly the power of bike gone , gave throttle and no rpm increase , the bike didn't give any kind of jerk . so i thought maybe the fuel has gone . made the petcock to reserve and the bike started and running .
so , the fuel and reserve indicator are indeed faulty . (so much faulty that i see full bars when there is no fuel in mains) . wow
svc did some carb tuning to solve my starting problems , will see tomorrow morning and afternoon what happens , this time i'll not go to svc , just complain to bajaj directly if it doesn't starts .
the pickup of bike has suddenly become like scooty , it has lost its power and engine braking in 1st and 2nd gear is too much , like someone is giving brake (too much throttle jerks also)..for this they told to wait for 1st service .
instead of being happy i'm regretting that i bought a bike (this is my first bike) and feels like a nightmare .

Dude there is no use complaining it to the bajaj people.Read the above incident which i posted.Several times i had spoken about my issues to them but they dont care for it.iam too having the fuel meter problem. So i continued running keeping it in reserved. All my dreams for this bike went in vain.Decided to give up and sell it.Originally posted by rajeshjsl View Postguys ,

when people said not to go with bajaj , i asked few of my friends and they didn't had any problems with this bike .
kept my faith and bought it , what a bad decision ..

Re: Great with little glitches
For the mileage initially you will get low this i enquired with my mechanic because the engine had to settle down to the climate conditions.ride your bike till atleast 1200km at speed of 45 to 50 till the first service is over later you will get mileage around 55 in city. After they ask the mechanic to make some tunings.it will help bur for the throttle this is something we have to lookOriginally posted by rajeshjsl View Postat least you have ridden 45k with this , for me its only 270km ..

Bhai... Remember You have 2 year warranty . May be its Meter problem. Ask for replacement ,if not, then log a complaint against SVC. to BAJAJ (Bajaj) .Originally posted by rajeshjsl View Postat least you have ridden 45k with this , for me its only 270km ..

1. my bike doesn't sounds good like p150 or apache rtr (changed oil and oil filter at 7200 kms- veedol 20w50)
2.pick up and performance is low (recently tuned card and cleaned air filter -about 100 km back)
3. while moving when i release acceleration, the bike lugs like i use front brake
4. some guy in past thread said bike has got 3 suspension setting (hard-default, medium and soft) I'm praying that he should not said about 5 step adjustment.
so kindly suggest me wat to do
im planning to change my oil to synthetic oil, wch will be the best brand and why?
y many people says 2 change to synthetic oil after 8k kms wil it harm our engine
thanks in advance

Omg!!!!!!!!! Dude thank god nothing happened to you. I am speechless. It saddens me beyond words to hear of such poor quality control standards on Bajaj's parts.Originally posted by anadarco7 View Postits an intermittent issue? The P135's battery covers seems to vibrate when i travel at 60kmph.Iam planning to sell mine and go for Yamaha R6

The engine note of the 135 is much different from that of the p150 or the rtr.
2.pick up and performance is low (recently tuned card and cleaned air filter -about 100 km back)
When you say carb tuning, can you tell whether the air-fuel ratio is rich or lean? How is your mileage after the said tuning? Any changes made to the idling rpm?
3. while moving when i release acceleration, the bike lugs like i use front brake
Won't be able to comment on this. Since acceleration is low, I think your carb is set to a lean mixture of air & fuel.
4. some guy in past thread said bike has got 3 suspension setting (hard-default, medium and soft) I'm praying that he should not said about 5 step adjustment.
Sorry but I didn't understand this. Could please elaborate.

Change to synthetic oil will void your warranty dude if your bike is still in warranty. Its 30,000 kms or 2 yrs whichever is earlier i believe. If your bike is past warranty then feel free to change to synthetic, as far as Brands, Motul is the hands down winner, although availability is an issue. Please do not use Valvoline, I had a really bad driving experience with it. Vibey engine, hard gearshifts and a loss of torque in the mid-to-high rev range. There is an existing thread on engine oils, so I won't go into that topic lest the Moderator Gods smite my post :P
thanks in advance

1. i know dat our p1335 engine beat is different from p150 and rtr
my point is its not as good as those. its some kind of irritating
2. i want to make my suspension soft, at present mine at 5th lowest step. but it is hard and bumpy. i ve cushioned seats. is there any other possible ways to make it more smooth
3. before carb tuning i got 48kmpl, now getting 52 kmpl (not racing or speeding above 50. normal commuting in city)
4.ok i'l change to motul 7100 asap.
kindly post the link for engine oil thread.

About your performance issues, i think your air filter may need replacement. Also you might need to check if you fuel-air ratio is not on lean. If it is so please have it set to medium or optimum. Having these two checked most probably may solve your performance issues.
About your rear shock there are only 3 setting for the bikes shocks. Hard(default), medium and Soft. Changing them to medium might give you a bit of comfort to you and your pillion. But i will say this that it will affect your handling on the turns.
I have not changed those settings yet.
So try these out and even if they don't help then its better you go to a SVC and have it checked totally..
Drive Safe..
DUDE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE 5 STEP HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT IN "About your rear shock there are only 3 setting for the bikes shocks. Hard(default), medium and Soft. I only have this much details since i did not go into adjusting my shock settings...so i don't know much..why don't you ask your local mechanics or the SVC guys..
They might have a more detailed answer to this.
Let me know what you learn please as i am also thinking of changing my settings too...
