I have some problem with my p135LS. its 6 months old. There is a problem in neutral to first gear sometimes(Especially after long idle time of the bike). There is some big sound/jerk when i shift to first gear this happens every morning and time when i leave office(if the bike is idle for long hours this happens).
I used to neutral the bike when engine stops and sometimes with engine running.
This sound/jerk never comes if the usage of the bike is frequent

Hope you guys understand what i'm trying to say!

Need your help to understand what is happening.

    Thanks.
    Hi,

Nothing to worry about this. What is happening here is that when the bike stays off for a long time the oil gets deposited at the bottom of the engine. So when we start the engine after a long time it will take time for the oil to circulate to all the parts of the engine....
to avoid this just let the engine run for 2 mins and you will see that the first gear shift will not make sound.

Nothing to worry about this. I have been having this for the last 3 years too. So i just let my engine warm up before taking off...thats it.

Yep that is true dude. This rough gear shift is even more aggravated if the bike is parked for a long duration on its side stand instead of the main centre stand. So make it a habit of idling the engine for atleast 1 minute after starting it so that it the oil is warmed up and circulated thoroughly through all the moving parts ensuring proper lubrication and a hassle free ride. Also it helps keeping the engine running problem free in between services.

Hi bro, firstly congrates for owing this machine and sorry for the late reply, i was a bit busy with myself ;-p, this is a common issue that we see in our 135 ls, my friend sp33dfr33k is obviously correct to guide you for the best possible solution and i will add one more thing like try to use kick by pressing your cluch before turning on the ingition and do 7-10 free kicks ( clutch engaged), it helps to disperse the resting engine oil in all the ways inside your mill and then turn on the ignition and give it a first kick start in the morning, i am following the same routine since i bought it, and believe me mine is next to perfect, try this brother i hope it would help you too.

Today i changed my rear tyre to CEAT VERTIGO SPORTS, as the quality of MRF eurogrip tyres are worst and wears out too fast, its very prone to punctures and life threatning because its tube type and its tube bursts on high speeds making it difficult to escape the situation. So i decided to go for a tubeless tyre.
10 months old 9655 kms on the odo, 55+ mileage, daily ride of 90 kms two way, and still counting as a best bike for me.

Got my bike serviced today, was going to pour Motul 5100 oil, but it was unavailable in my city...so got the Valvoline 4T premium semi synthetic oil, bike runs smoother on high revvs now wid less vibrations, didn't ride much though!
Does anyone know the drain interval of the oil?

At last my gear shift problem is gone i replaced the P135 clutch plates with R15.It fits perfectly now my bike is smooth. When enquired there was some manufacturing fault with the clutch plates due to which having probems shifting from 1st to neutral

Hey bro cool upgrade to ur bike I must say. Did you have any difficulties during mounting the rear tyre on to the rim because AFAIK the rims provided for our bikes is tube type..i.e it does not have the extra "lip" (on the outer edge where the sidewall of the tyre meets the rim) to hold tubeless tyres. Seeing your clicks I can say the the tyre has a snug fit to the rim. Please do update when you can.

P.S. : The bike is looking like a million bucks bro, kudos to you . keep up the good work. Ride Hard, Ride Safe.

Dude!!! That i awesome. Please do tell how the transmission is behaving with the new clutch plates, I seem to be facing the same shifting issues too intermittently. Will have to go in for a replacement myself, so if you could be kind enough to give me your feedback on this...it would be much appreciated

                        P. P.S: Was busy these past few weeks so I was unable to check up here.

Hi bro sp33dfr33k, yes i heard the same thing that our p135 doesnt support tubeless tyres but when the tyre is fitted to my rim, i was sure that i made the right decision to get CEAT Vertigo Sport ( hard tread compound), as it is a perfect match to this baby p135, i have asked the dealer for more wider tyre but he told that its not possible with these given shocks( monoshock reqd). This CEAT Vertigo Sport 100/90-17 is slightly bigger and looks wider as compared to the stock MRF Eurogrip, thanks to its tread compound that makes it look more meaty and the bike looks more off roader. I am using it with 40p nitrogen air, and i really feel good improvement in handling capabilities of my bike on straight highways and tarmac roads. Now i have completed 10k + kms on my odo and as an owner of p135 ls after munching miles i can say that its a very reliable and practical machine, a complete worth for the amount spent to own it. I am attaching some images so that you can figure out the tyre-rim fit.
