        i think ug = upgrade , anyways

after running for 1 hr , now my pulsar is getting idling at 2-2.5k rpm , is it okay or do i need to make it less ?

also what is the process for the service , i'm total noob , i mean i have to go the service center directly or do something else ? also if they change my idling , that will not be
part of the 1st servicing right ?

also that 500 kms 45 days , whichever first , do i have to take 1st service after 500km or before 500km , same for days , after 45 days or before 45 days ??

Just go to service center directly with the bike's manual. The guys over there will explain everything to you.
You can change the idling settings for yourself, just tighten the screw on throttle cable by 1/2 a turn or just take it to a local mechanic.
1st service is either between 500-750 KM or 40-45 days whichever is earlier.

i followed this Pulsar idle speed tuning - YouTube
but i found the screw to be on the other side (brake side) , i hope thats the correct screw , because after rotating it clockwise i was able to bring the idle
to 1.5 to 2k , now it doesn't go above 2k , but only sometimes (i guess thats because of auto choke ??) ..

please tell me if i did this correctly and confirm that yes the idling screw is on the brake side not the clutch side .. (otherwise i might have losen something else , lulz )

            i'm a total noob , so you can laugh , haha !!

Yes the idling screw is on the side of the front brake lever. And yes if the idling has come down you have done it correctly.

one problem , in the morning i'm unable to start the bike for 5 mins , after that it starts .

using self start also doesn't works , neither kick start .

what could be the problem for such a new bike ?

i'm total noob in bikes so i might be doing something wrong , anyways help me , also whats this choke/auto choke/enable disable / i dont know ..

                update
                ______

today in office also around 5:30pm , the same thing happened , it just doesn't start , takes at least 2 minutes for some kicking and self start combination .

also what is the procedure for the service center to fix my bike startup problem , should i go to service center directly and tell them its just 4 days old bike or do i need to register something somewhere .

                Thanks !

Auto choke actually helps in starting. theres no way to disable it in Pulsar 135.

Kick start always works for me. You just have to kick it deeper or to the farthest. As kick rod is arranged in a little odd position,a deeper kick is much effective. Try it or check the battery charge with SVC guys.

in kick start do you need to put throttle ?

                    also

what will be the best service center in bangalore for my first servicing of my bike , most service centers have complete bad reviews and people tell never to service there as they will steal your parts or only wash and give back , etc , etc ..
what service center will be better in bangalore for these things ..

raise throttle little when start. then bike will start in one shot. check your idle rpm once engine heated (4-5km ride) set it to 1400rpm.

i went to svc , they changed my caarbuerator settings , it started fine there because the engine was warm , but in the morning , same problem .
after giving kicks and throttles and some self start combo , it gets started in morning , but at evening time also it takes some kicks to start .
experts , what could be the problem ??

                          also downshifting is hard .

other than these two , no problem with the bike . haven't tested the acceleration because this is my first time riding a motorcycle , will test once i get experience .

one time i noticed it gave some black smoke for once during starting (after svc changed carb settings and i went home ) , did i ripped something up ? or is it okay to have black smoke once in a while ??

its new bike so ..... i'm concerned ..

Its odd to hear a new bike suffering from starting issues. Since its still in warranty I would suggest getting the issue rectified by the Authorized SVC guys. Do you experience any loss of compression when you face these starting problems i.e does the kick rod move freely like it does when you depress the clutch lever?? Is the autochoke working on cold starts in the morning?? Also turning the petrol cock to off position and using the centre stand when you park the bike overnight or if you are parking the bike for more than 20 mins might reduce the cold start issues, and it is a good practice too.

Hard gear shifts have been my experience too but rest assured the gearbox will behave well after the first servicing and shifting will smoothen out. I am a noob myself..got my baby 2 years ago...

the autochoke works for like 3 seconds and then rpm goes to 0 , if i give any throttle , it immediately goes to zero .
the kick rod doesn't move freely though , its normal and hard as it should be .
dont know what seems to be the problem , and i only get time on saturdays so .....

will try the switching off the petrol cock tomorrow but if it was the case , why does it then takes again 3-4 kicks and 2-3 self starts again at 5:30pm when i leave the office .

i told the guy abt the problem at svc and he just turned the screw clockwise (of the carburator not the idling screw , idling is fine its 1500-1700 on warmed up engine) .
but he did the carb settings when the bike was off and not in running position , wtf ? i suppose those settings are to be done when the bike is running ?

now i'm concerned , my experience with everything costly i buy has turned bad , my first costly phone - bad camera , my first laptop - dead on arrival , my first bike - god knows wtf is going on
