I'M GOIN TO FOLLOW THIS TUTORIAL ON CARB TUNING CARB TUNINGOriginally posted by Lightsportz View PostGuys, I would strongly suggest to get it done by an experienced mechanic. Messing with the carb is not fun unless you really know the stuff well enough
. I'm using 1st hand experience here
.
I am taking the risk because all the mechanic's in vasai are sH*t head's...atleast i havent come across a good oneMost motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

guys,
the engine of my bike seems to heat up for really short distances. in a total distance of 8-10 km, it heats up. i heard that this is pretty normal for new bikes, and i also heard that it is normal for a p135!
any ideas?
Why Biking?
Because all other sports need only one BALL!!

Mine also heats up like that, but I think it's normal since I've done over 100kms at a stretch without problemsOriginally posted by Cyber Don View Postguys,

Hello i have recently joined xBHp.BTW why are you people looking for such mods which will inturn increase the overall bike price i.e. 60k + 15k==75k.In this price you may get an FZ or an apache even a p180.Well i am buying this li'l monster next week.Damn excited.Originally posted by Mohit 135 View Postthanks nin,i am changing at 15k + km's,just saw the pirelli sport demon 110x70..they are just superb with the superb design, and quality is also good but they cost 3200rs [little expensive]
but i guess they will give the same look as size is concerned coz stock is 100x90 and sport demon are 110x70,i think i'l go for zapper 110x80

My first bike !
Hey guys,
I have been reading this thread on pulsar 135 since a week and picked up my pulsar 135 (2011 model BLACK) on 15th JULY (guru purnima).
THANKS A LOT to you guys, it's only because of U all that I was assured that if there will be a problem, it would be solved here.
First impressions :
It has less pickup than the one which was given for test drive, may be because it was pre-tuned for more average. (very slight diff.)
Beautiful, body, shines like star after the free Teflon coating.
Common problems with this bike (faced or not {yes or no}) :
low batt. indi : NO
wrong fuel disp: yes it shows full tank in 6.8 liters only.
suspension noise : NO
Brake noise : NO
disk brake sound : yes (but the front Tyre is very free)
Gear slip : Partial (the gears feel of inferior quality than apache 160 2and gear is difficult to hit, it is hard, rest is okay)
False neutral : NO
Price : 61000 on road.
query :
1. On every start Self/kick I have to accompany it with a little throttle, is that okay ? because I think it should not be the case with such new bikes.
2. Why every of my relative says that it will just work fine for 2-3 years and then will drop drastically in average and noise will also be increased.
when I ask why ? they say because it is a bajaj engine, all are like this.

To answer your queries, a bit of throttle is normal at the start (either kick or self start)Originally posted by puneet5997 View Postquery :

Well your relatives still have memories of Bajaj when they were learning how to make bikes (read before Pulsar). But now, I don't think that's the case. You can see lots and lots of Pulsars running on roads without any problems. So, don't worry, tell them that this is the only affordable 4-valve engine available to aam janta

LOL and yes you are right. I think my bike is great.
I just feel bad about the clunky gears that get stuck sometimes and getting neutral on red light is like dancing with the bike, rocking it forward and back and trying to hit the jackpot.

LOL....you got that right....its the same with me....so i just kill the engine. Then it is easier to get to neutral...Originally posted by puneet5997 View PostThanks Bro,

You need to be smooth & consistent with gear shifts. Be extra careful and if possible don't give the bike to anyone till the first 1000kms are done. As the time passes by & with regular engine oil changes, gear box will only become smoother. I never had any problems with gear shift.Let's bring down the monster of corruption to it's knees.. please visit http://ipaidabribe.com/
