On the day of delivery one guy rode it at around 90kmph.. Just imagine..
And the rpm setting in which the engine stalled also was done by them...
I would want Bajaj to really educate these guys atleast about some important things..
Well, reserve indicator is something you can't make correct in P135LS. It is wrong from start.
And before delivery the bike digi console is not connected, so we may never know to what kmph it was run.
That's the problem of digi console.
RPM stalling : run the bike around city for at least 10 min then set idle RPM at 1500RPM. In my knowledge it would prevent stalling but resulting in 1700RPM idling after running for long.
BAJAJ SVC is foul really. Here they took at least 1 month to get a spare part where as TVS, I have seen a customer getting digi meter replaced in just one hour and battery in 30 mins. But thats relative. Varies areawise.Yamaha Gladiator SS - Owned and Sold.

Auto choke issue is present in 80% of P135LS. other 15% can't realize the problem. and ~5% is right.
Actually idea of auto choke is bad. Manual choke should have been given by them.Yamaha Gladiator SS - Owned and Sold.

People please help... There is some strange ticking sound form my gear box side that too only when I throttle or go through a pot hole or some thing... I noticed this just after 5 days after 3rd servicing... It was ignorable at the starting but now it has increased... The SVC guys cant determine the prob, they want to open the whole rear wheel assembly!!! Any idea what this prob could be...
One of my guess is, could it be a 'CHAIN LINK-LOCK' prob???

DID you check if the starter button is working fine? may be water went inside too and screwed the contact's. Also keeping rpm so low will cause more harm...get it set to about 1400 when the engine is hot..keeping it to low makes your pickup sluggish and engine may stall... after gettin it set at abt 1400-1450 i have no probs with cold startsOriginally posted by spindoc View PostMY bike has done >1300 kms now.
Lately, I have noticed a strange problem.
My electric start does not work properly. After many tries (many thumb presses), it starts.
The problem started after I went to a local mechanic to get my petrol tank cleaned since water was getting into it after every rain/ water wash. The mechanic had also set the idle rpm at 1000 rpm saying that the bike would have better fuel efficiency.
Since this incident the bike is facing this problem of erratic starting with electric start. It's a pain in the traffic. When I thumb the starter, the motor doesnt even turn, only a "khrr khrr" sound occurs.
Any suggestions? Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

. I had the same prob. It won't cost you much and replacing will take just 30mins.

hello guys, i got the ride yesterday
some stuff that i noticed:
1. The speedo's wire was removed. this becoz the ride hasn't been registered yet.
2. the disc brake isn't effective enough.
3. even in neutral, the RPM shows around 4k RPM. is this the idling RPM or something? should this be rectified?
4. The edges of the seat's front part seem to be dislocated. Why Biking?
Because all other sports need only one BALL!!

As far as my knowledge,
-The tachometer cabling should be done as soon as you get your delivery.
-Cant say about discs, mine was fine.
-4k RPM is too high, you can adjust it yourself, there is a screw near the throttle body, on your right hand side, jus below the tank...
-And the seat dislocation... that too you can adjust, jus refer your manual...

he told me that he would put that back on once the registration was over.
a friend adjusted that thing. he put it to 1k RPM
. a bit harder to control at lower speeds, but still its good
I'l post a pic of the seat tomorrow, that way you guys will know better...

Gave bike for 1st service
Hi Guyzzz....gave my bike for its 1st service....only two problems in my bike when giving for service,...
1. a ticking sound from the disk brake
2. someone put a stone in the silencer..
.asked them to remove as it makes noise.
BTW i asked them which engine oil they use...they said they use Veedol 20W50 5000 dtsi oil....isnt it 10000 dtsi?
They said that wont be prob since it only creates a difference in the price...10000 one costs 350 whereas 5000 one costs 250...says the no. denotes the kms you can run before u must change the oil...
So 5000 will run for 5000 kms and 10000 runs 10000 kms...
I dont believe this man...
Pls advice guyzz...

Got my bike after the first service
Hi guyzzz...its me again....
Got my bike from the first service....
The problems still persist....The engine seems to be lacking power now.
..this was not the case when i gave them for service...seems they change the fuel air ratio....but the engine does feel smoother...
They could not get the stone out of the silencer, said it will not cause any probs...but the sound it creates is irritating....
..I dont knw what to do about it...
the bike does not seem to be its old self..i mean, its like i am riding another bike now...did anyone experience this problem after the first service..or is it just me...

buddy, as far as i know, the bike reaches it true self only after running around 2000km... i'm not particularly sure though. As for the silencer stone, ask a local mechanic. he should get it out easily.Originally posted by trsakhilk View PostHi guyzzz...its me again....

on another note, once my bike finishes the runnin in period, i'm plannin Chennai-Bangalore. that would be around 350kms. would this ride be good enough to cover the distance? i would probably take a 1/2 hr break in the middle. Why Biking?

To tell the truth i think this bike is not that comfortable for long distances...but with well planned breaks its certainly possible...Originally posted by Cyber Don View Postbuddy, as far as i know, the bike reaches it true self only after running around 2000km... i'm not particularly sure though.
