The bike will get dirty if you ride in the rain...no mud guard can protect your bike from the dirt...

Mud guards are meant to protect your and others' clothes from getting dirty, not the bike..

Stop worrying about it...and believe me, it's not worth spending your time on cleaning the bike when it rains...let it get dirty...
Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)

Yeah...me too facing the same problem....i clean my bike every sunday....please keep your chain and the disk brakes as clean as possible....other than that the mud will not cause any probs.......
as for your rpm prob keep the idle at 1000...thats the factory setting...in the morning when taking ur bike for the first time just idle ur engine for a minute so that the engine oil can spread properly...btw hws ur gear...is it stiff like mine??

      • I know that the bike will get dirty in the rain. But the point i want to make is that the mud comes out from the split part and hits the part below the seat, making it look dirty.. If bajaj had to split it anyway, they could have made the front part of it a little larger, so that it could have stopped the mud from coming out.. What do you think??

Yeah even i am thinking of cleaning my bile every sunday.. More than anything else i am concerned about the exposed chain.. Your rpm setting is 1000 when it is hot or cold??

I can't idle my bike for more than 15 seconds.. it stops after some wobbles.. Have to give it some throttle to keep it on.. This problem is not there after the bike runs for some kms..

No the gear shifts are pretty smooth till now.. No false neutrals(thank god)..

yes, a red one....its only 2 weeks old....completed 500kms....mine idle rpm is 1000 when its normal...i mean hot...when i start it in the morning the rpm rises to 3000 sometimes then comes back to 1000 after few seconds....this is because of the autochoke...but my bike does not shutdown after few seconds...i dont need to give any throttle for that...
BTW i have false neutrals probs in mine...otherwise nothing worrying...will have it cleared when going for the first service...

                • Hey there are no signs of auto choke on my bike.. I have heard a lot about this in the forums... The auto choke characteristic of increased rpm when the bike starts and finally settling down does not seem to be present here.. Is there a problem??

All pulsar's have auto choke in them...it is helpful in starting engine in cold start conditions...thats why when you start the bike for the first time in the day the RPM increases and then comes back to normal when the engine reaches its normal temperature....if your bike doesnot show this then there are only two reasons...
                    1. your engine may not be cold when you are starting the bike...
                    2. There maybe some problem with your auto choke....check with your svc..

I think you should check this with your SVC...

                    • P135's auto choke is pretty useless.
When my friend wants to start bike in the morning, no matter how much he kicks it, it won't start. Electric start works good but gets killed after 10-15seconds. So auto choke is not working correctly.
Throttle must be pushed to start the bike. I wonder what is with that all problems in pulsar 135 when his one is not even 500KM old.

Tell your friend to have his bikes auto choke checked by a SVC guy....mines working perfectly...no prob at all...starts at the first kick...

                        • May be you are one of the lucky guys around here. He got it checked but how can he make a SVC guy understand about the problems when starting the bike 1st time in the morning. SVC poorly responds to what customers say.

You are absolutely right... The people in the svc are super dumb.. we know the bikes better than many of them....

I had asked one guy about the red flashing light(the reserve indicator)... He said he had no idea about it..

On the day of delivery one guy rode it at around 90kmph.. Just imagine..

And the rpm setting in which the engine stalled also was done by them...

I would want Bajaj to really educate these guys atleast about some important things..
