      • ^^^ may be too optimistic, rumor mill is going full steam on updated R15 as well. But, it will be interesting, I would believe 220 with 4-valve tech will still hold the edge over R15, presuming that it would bridge some gaps in tech!

even if the R15 is a 250CC beast?

          • ^^^ R15 is not 250cc.. well if it's 250cc then it's upto rumoured 250cc Pulsar . Anyway, I believe Yamaha need to work on it's product positioning to ring in sales numbers.

a 250CC pulsar would be wow!

full fairing, full black.. that will drive pulsar lovers crazy!

btw, i drove around 100km today, stopped for just aroun 10-15 mins. i was on a bypass road and i was going at arond 60-65. the road was empty.. and you know.. i gave a burst of acceleration and it touched around 90...! lol

but since i've only done around 1200 km, still in run in period, i slowed down. interestingly, after i did that, the engine felt really really smooth and crisp. id that speed burst have something to do with it?

              • BTW, the whole new series is gonna be based on the p135 design and concept.I think pulsars will head to naked and macho bike style and not the full fairing style.Even the p220f will change. This may happen till the yr. end.I think the four valve miracle is already unleashed by the p135....

Yes, it is. You will notice that as you start opening up the bike to higher speeds, bike will become much more smoother at lower revs. Once you are done with exposing the bike to complete rev range, you will notice that engine is smooth & completely stress free while giving throttle above 60kmph mark.

awesome!! i was a bit scared that it might hurt the engine.. but since i felt the smoothness i was happy

                      thanks buddy!

I agree with vrugonnab..The engine becomes damn smooth and crisp when you ride it at high speeds. No need to worry about it.It think that is required for the bike, for proper tuning of the engine for future sprints.

                        • guys i touched 70 again today, but the bike vibrated a lot!

does this happen normally? i hear that vibrations occur at a certain speed and then they disappear after another speed. is that true?

also, my dad hates the suspension! everytime i go into a hole, i can hear my dad's "OUCH"

i guess i'l go for a mono suspension soon!

                              good!

about the monoshock, it has to wait

until then, i'l adjust my shox. Judging by the look of it, its either in 5 or 1. but since its real hard, it must be in 5. i'l adjust it and we'll see if there's a difference

also, the idle RPM rises a lot! Especially when i'm driving in city conditions. it goes up to like 2.5-3k RPM. once i release the clutch a little, the idle RPM gets back to 1.3k(thats my setting). now after this, even if i hold the clutch it doesnt go up. Any ideas?
