    • If Bajaj launches a 4 valve P-220 model, with a price tag of under a lakh, I am pretty sure it will be the second most powerful bike in India (barring superbikes of course). If the 135 can do wonders with those extra two valves, imagine what an additional 85cc can do!

        • Hello guys, I've been following XBHP from a long time now, just to get to know the bikes as I really love riding.

I'm having P135, purchased on 25th July 10, registered on 27th and started riding it from the same day. Black in color, split type mud guard and open chain 2010 model. Up to now it has done close to 6.1k in less than two months. Hmmm.... A lot of riding, isn't it

I did a proper running in, I guess. Never exceed 45kmph till first 1k, and never exceed 50kmph till 2k, and further I did not exceed 55kmph till 5k. But I always kept varying RPM and changing gears, and also a few short bursts till 2k and a few MORE bursts till 5k, and now, well riding it as normal. I'm a sane rider. I don't rip the bike.

This is my third bike. I had a Yamaha WR250X 2008 model brand new- well, a kind of an insane machine to own as a first bike, a lot of power. after 75k kms and 1.5 years of riding, one day, on the hills of thick forest and freezing cold, on a steep downhill, couldn't control, skidded, crashed in to a tree, broke my leg, spent 4 hours till some vechicle comes and help me.. Then sold it as my mother demanded and not given permission to buy a bike unless it is going to be a low powered bike(like 100cc). I really miss my WRX.

Second was a discover 135, disk break, 2009, rode it for 45k kms in one year. never ever it gave me a slight problem, only tyres changed twice and chain sprockets once at 30k and spark plugs. Liked it.

Now on P135, well a good piece of machine. Good acceleration, minimum vibes compared to others, good looks, and no major problem till now at 6k.

I do a lot of touring. Oops I forgot to say, I'm from Sri lanka, in capital colombo, I simply cannot resist touring in this island. This is a pure beauty, nice roads, nice variation in climate, wild life, dense vegitation, beaches and safe, very safe ofcourse.

I know this is not a suitable bike for tour. ZMR would be a better choice, or a jap bike, but you know my mom dosn't let me buy a bigger bike. But she will some day, I hope, coz even she knows that I'm a rider, who loves to ride and explore the world in two wheels, as you know, "two wheels take your soul, not the body.."

          Happy riding guys.

          • I wish this thread is moving fast, just like the bike we ride..

I am feeling slight vibrations creeping from 4k up to 5k RPM. which is from 49kmph to about 60kmph. In this range the RPM needle is also vibrating. But after that no vibrations at all till 6.5k and after 7k RPM, the bike is smooth again.

Is this felt by you as well, guys??

And I remember that someone installed NGK G-power in his P135?? Can I now the NGK plug number for P135 please??

Thank you in advance.. Guess what guys, I'm going to hill country on this weekend as well which will be a over 600kms journey..

about the vibrations its exactly the same with almost every one here...and not a big problem though...except for some irritation from your pillion(which we guys are used to ! )...
A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

              • Anyone please tell me the NGK plug number for P135??

The thread length of the plug seems to be shorter than that of other pulsars...

                Please let me know..

Ah, I am thinking to switch to fully synthetic oil on the next service which will be around 8k kms! Will Motul 300V FS make any head leaks in my P135?? I heard that pulsar head seems to leak with Motul FS because of the absence of chemically resistants in the valves in pulsar!!

                • hi all..

this is my 1st post to xbhp.. and also for the p135
i'm having this pulsar from 4 feb..and now completing 3rd and the last servicing

So the first thing first during this time period is 'THE PROBELM(s) '

two major problem i m facing till now...
                  1. chain loosing
                  2. rear suspension (some noise over there )bt its smooth while driving

some other problems like ,, auto choke doesn't wrk when its needed ,
footrest shaking after 70 km\ph, bt its maintain the grip , handling,.
while pillion riding its shaky....may be balancing problem

                  NOW the good things ....

1.its a pulsar ( not a single word describe better then this)

2.sharp corning ... better then other pulsars
                  really a traffic cutter

3.u can easily go 40 to 80 .in few seconds...

                  4. its give me 50 to 55km\pl... in delhi noida traffic...some time its give me more then 60.. bt only some time.

                  5. now about top speed ..115km\ph... u can try more then this

overall i m satisfy about all performance.....

                  good looking
                  high performance
                  better mileage
                  4 valve

                      • Just came from a tour which was a 532km trip to central highlands.

With a pillion, P135 feels to loose considerable amount of power. On climbing, it is very evident. Engine sound was like that of XCD. Climbing ability seems not that impresive perticularly with a pillion. Always had to stick to 2nd and 3rd gear(mind you it was steep climbing though).
Engine's love to rev hard was very helpfull. Cold starts are absolutely not problem even in temps below 5 celcius. Auto choke works perfectly. Gave me no problems at all. Milage was around 55km/l. Love it

                            • I am back again!!

I use my bike only in weekends, and this Saturday I had to give a training to some guys, so planned to go there with my RED QUEEN. It was a 223kms long journey with shower, potholes, bad roads & good roads. I enjoyed every minute on my RED QUEEN

She is giving me average about 55kmpl & ride is superb. BTW have anyone checked the YZF-R125? P135LS seems to be younger brother of it.

About the problems, those are same for all of us, and one thing I learned that never ride this bike in shower with a pillion. The split mud-guard splashes mud all over the tail as well as the pillion seat part.

Amazing bike overall & keep riding.
With Great Power, comes Great Responsibilities .....

and with eurogrip tyres becomes all the more slippery and increases the chances of skidding...
