  • Re: 55w wrks fine

I have stange issue with my pulsar 135.

After I ride my bike and stop engine by main switch and turn it again immediately.. engine tried to rotete. (like very short press start motor)
Its not starter motor. I can confirm.
Its happen only one time. It happen again if I ride again. same thing happen if I turn off engine by kill switch and turn it on again
today I discovered there is a one spark (left side plug) each time I turn ignition on or kill switch on/off (while ignition on)
May be exiting mixture ignite when turn on switch...? is it possible? any problem?

since our p135 uses 12V5AH battery will a 9Ah battery cause any damage to circuits ??
    need some advice guys
Its doesn't damage anything if you use higher capacity battery.
Will 9AH battery fit Pulsar 135 battery compartment ? that battery is larger than 5AH

dude that won't be a big issue. we can remove the battery guard which prevents the use of big battery. but we should use a maintenance free battery to avoid leaks of acid and distill water

        • Pulsar135 try to start when ignition on

I have purchased second hand Pulsar 135 10 months ago and it has strange issue since I brought it.

It happen after I drive bike even 5 km.
After engine hot, stop engine by run off switch or main ignition. then If I turn on it again bike try to start. engine rotates very little. like starter motor running very short burst. it happen even in gear or neutral. if bike in gear, little push can feel.

First I thought it starter motor. then I disconnected wire to motor and still same.

It happen only one time after hot engine. to happen it again, I must start bike again and stop.

Finally it never happend if I remove two plug wires after ride. so I suspect that after ignition turn on remaining fuel/air mixture inside cylinder burns because there is a spark produce when turn on ignition.

But I never saw any bike that happen. I never faced any other problems with bike. but worry about that fault.

Bike's ODO 10350km, mileage is around 60-65kmpl (Im ride 40-55 always)

              Hi,

I am not sure if this will solve your probs..but here is what i think might be ur problem. My P135 is also more than 2 yrs old so i have also faced sometimes these probs.

About your performance issues, i think your air filter may need replacement. Also you might need to check if you fuel-air ratio is not on lean. If it is so please have it set to medium or optimum. Having these two checked most probably may solve your performance issues.

About your rear shock there are only 3 setting for the bikes shocks. Hard(default), medium and Soft. Changing them to medium might give you a bit of comfort to you and your pillion. But i will say this that it will affect your handling on the turns.
I have not changed those settings yet.

So try these out and even if they don't help then its better you go to a SVC and have it checked totally..

              Drive Safe..

                Hi all.

I got new pulsar. Its been just 4 days.
I got something to ask you people. There is a two set of bends on bar near the chain (I don't know how to call it). One set of (both side)bend on near rear tyre connection with the iron bar(i think thats swingarm) and another set of bend near the rider foot rest. I asked about this dealer where I bought but he said its a design and he showed the another p135 with the bends but there was only one p135 so please clarify me whether it's normal or anything wrong.

                Help!

                Thanks.

@all others, would it be decent if I asked 30K for my 2010 model?

Are you talking about the swingarm?
BTW I have seen 135LS with full chain cover and naked chain. Do 135LS come in two different versions or there is upgrade like in other Pulsars.
                    I am back!

There are other factors too like odo reading, number of owners and proofs of service history. The 3rd factor gives you an upper hand on the bargain.

                          • Great with little glitches

Its been 3 months and i am loving the Bike. I havent dont any long rides until last weekend when I pushed its limits.

Its a 100km on and return on different terrains from Bangalore (mostly Highway). Bike has donr 2700 kms and just finished its second service.

While on return journey I have ripped the Engine and bike has reached speed of 110kmph rpm meter still between 8-9k. I had to reduce the speed because of obstacle.

After that i started to hear noise from the Engine. I was deeply disappointed. Noise seems to come from Engine itself which is what scares me.

I came back home and checked the problem, The silencer pipe which is attached to the Engine with two nuts is loose and exhaust is escaping from the Engine directly, which is source of the sound. fastened the nut and its working properly. Just chek the Bike after the service properly as many nuts are loose.

But bottom line, Its a great bike after 2000kms on the ODO.

Guys some good news and some bad news...

                              Good news..
Have clocked around 10,000 kms. Got my bike serviced a week back.. Changed the air and oil filter. Changed the engine oil to Motul 7100(20W50). And I must say it has become butter smooth. Earlier vibrations used to set in at around 51-52 kmph.. Now it has gone up to around 54-55 kmph.. Mileage remains the same though..

                              Now the bad news..
Just after 2 days of service, my bike got hit at a traffic signal(when it was red) from the back by a Force Traveller(damn these private operators in bangalore!!).
It hit the rear mud flap first and then went on to hit the silencer pipe.. In the beginning i thought maybe the hit was not that hard.. Later I realized, there was a strange sound thump coming whenever i was revving. This thump is there only at high rpms. Checked for cracks in the silencer pipe but could find nothing.. Also I am feeling a bit of a wobble when I exceed speeds of 45-50. I checked my front and rear tyre as I thought maybe some nut is loose somewhere. But everything is fine. I showed it to a local mechanic.. He says ,"Kuch nahi sir... Hawa kam hai ..." And I was like.. "Rehne do, tumse na ho paega!!" Guys, today I saw that there is around one to two inches more gap in between the silencer pipe and the body, as compared to other 135s.. This was heartbreaking.. Can this be the reason for the wobble?? What needs to be done???

                              Need help guys.. Please suggest
