And yes finally I have decided to go ahead with Motul 300V engine oil. Is there anything else I need to do in this servicing??

Hi mayank, thanks ablot for the reply. I heard that softening the suspension reduces the handling capacity esp. during cornering.. How much of a difference does it make? And will it have any impact on fuel efficiency.Originally posted by mayank.travadi;[B
It is an o-ring chain. Would the bajaj spray be good or should I go for some better option.?? Earlier I used to put SAE-90 oil in the chains. Is this wrong??Originally posted by mayank.travadi;[B

no...suspension hardly has any effect on FE...but yes softer suspension leads to a little poor handleling while gong thru corners...otherwise its fine...u need harder suspension for cornering...Originally posted by arnab3112 View PostHi mayank, thanks ablot for the reply. Use the bajaj spray...for O-ring chain u dont need lubrication at all..O-ring seal the lubricant already present while the chain was manufactured...so all u need to do is keep the oring supple and maintained by using he chain spray....and well after using the spray u can use the 900 gear oil...the chain will look nice
300v is very costly...if u have a lot of daily run then use it....otherwise the 5100 SS oil is sufficient..u can also use 7100 which also is synthetic and cheaper than 300v and offers more or less same performance...
which service is it? how much kms on the odo? if u havent crossed 5k i recommend dont use synthetic oils...just get a general servicing oil change, chain cleaning sprak plug cleaning air filter cleaning oil strainer cleaning etc...refer to ur owner manual and request the service executive that service be dont in front of u...many a times these people just wash ur bike change ur oil, lube ur hain and return ur bike...since oil is changed u feel a better riding quality and u think service is done properlyPulsar 200NS parts list

The odo reads 2700kms... I don't know whether to term this as the second or the third service.. While I was here in bangalore, my father had taken the bike for some kind of servicing.. No idea what was done, but the oil wasn't changed for sure.. So for me its the second service.. Would using the 300V harm the engine at this stage?? Which other engine oil do you suggest at this stage.. Could you please suggest some names.??Originally posted by mayank.travadi View Postno...suspension hardly has any effect on FE...but yes softer suspension leads to a little poor handleling while gong thru corners...otherwise its fine...u need harder suspension for cornering...

a blue/black p135???????Originally posted by bs0409 View PostHi guys. I have got a blue/black Pulsar 135 about a month back. This is my first bike and I am riding it for the first time as well. Its a pretty decent commuter bike with sporty looks. The mileage is also good. The only downside I have faced is bringing the bike back to neutral from first gear when parking it. Also, I think the suspension needs some improvement since crossing the potholes is a hell of a problem for me with this bike. Any suggestions for the above mentioned problems??
