Its not true that it cant go beyond 80kmph with a pillion...who was kidding you ? Did he know the bike has 5gears in all ?

I myself have done 126kmph(indicated) with a pillion..

No doubt in that. Better breathing bike with capability of 150cc bike. Just keep check on the valuable things (engine oil change being main) & you will be very happy.
Congrats! Give me a ride when I come to Kolkata. I want to ride a 135

              • Hi all,

Yesterday I brought my first bike Pulsar 135LS (Red ).
As I am still learning how to ride properly I would like if you all could give me some tips regarding this... as the bike is new and the first 500-1000 km are cruical as to the future performance of the bike please suggest what precautions I should take so that the bike continues to give good average and the engine also stays in good health(again I am just learning....) .
And one question while riding the 135 it seems to me a bit hard to go from 2nd gear to 'N' I don't know why, but it seems a bit hard to me... is it due to lack of riding experience or their could be a defect in the gearbox(as I had read some riders complaining about their gearbox problems)...

                Thankx

impressive job.... i had seen this mods of yours before as i had been following your posts in mcp and though i found it very difficult to follow your language..., i enjoyed going through the pics posted there and to be frank since i have a mania towards pulsar, i always collected as many pics of all pulsars as much as possible just so that i could just at least stare at it and enjoy the design lines. And for that very same reason i also searched pulsar pics widely from all over the world through google and thats how i stumbled upon the mcp and also your pics.Similarly i also have seen your vids in youtube also.Man hats off to you bro for your creativity...and nice to finally meet you...

                          61.5 kms/ltr

                          method for testing:
as soon as the bike hit reserve zeroed the trip meter, went to petrol pump (1.5 kms) and filled in Rs 70/- Extra premium (0.99 liters).
for 2 days I rode the bike smoothly around 40-45 kmph. And at 59.9 kms it hit reserve. So add the 1.5 kms (59.9 + 1.5 = 61.4 kmpl).

What are you guys out there getting ???? (specially the ones who have crossed 10000 kms.)
Buddy I think you cannot add that 1.5 Km again. Your bike millage is 59.9 Only. That's how I do the check.

Yes I am facing the same problem. Read few more posts with the same problem.

I found out one solution , that is if you go slow its not touching but it always happen when u let the bike go over it fast.

                            • Modding

What aftermarket parts can I fit on the pulsar? I'm interested in an exhaust kit and filter, like PATZZZ14 has done, but I don't know if they're sold for our bike in India.

Sorry if its a vague question, but I cant find answers anywhere else.
                              Not interested in cosmetic mods.

After 15000km, a problem has finally emerged with the bike. After my last service, the auto-choke stopped working. Whether this means there's still a choke or that just the automatic revving is conked is beyond me..
Bikes hard to start on a cold/rainy day now, though I rev it as much as the choke used to..even after idling for a minute it switches off.
Im sure service will fix it. Otherwise, the bike's flawless. Mileage is staying at 55 but I think that's the fault of my riding style
