  • Hi,

Do any of you are/have facing/faced the problem with the digital meter??
The prob is with the Fuel gauage it for once will show that the bike is in reserve(and that's true), but when I will stop and start again the meter will show 3 bars and not the indicator for the reserve .

And another problem is I started the bike and left it for idle for 10 sec, and suddently the speedo meter started showing various speeds from 20-40 kmph for some seconds and than came back to 0 this had happened only once, but I don't know whether its a cause for concern ??

Another I don't know why but sometimes I fell the bike is not able to generate the amount of pull that is required to come out of a 'hole' that is in the middle of the road and I am stuck into it while wating for the green light, will this improve after the first service??
And can I get my bike serviced(Ist service is due in 2 weeks) from a bajaj Probiking center ??

    Thankx

the speedo issue of fuel-gauge is there in my ride too,and talking about the pull sometimes the the throttle miss-fires.
you can't get it service from a pro-biking.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

How much do the parts cost on their own? And sorry if I seem rude, but can you give us some performance figures? Your videos have just given us a taste of the sound (which is definitely amazing)..but how much has performance gone up by?

                • hello fellow biker's seems our threads activity has reduced a lot, anyway
                  1) i am having two odd problems with my pulsar the first is i have to release the clutch way too much for the bike to move forward, earlier bike used to move forward after releasing the clutch half way. how can it be adjusted properly?

2)and when i hit the disc brake there is a tick-tick sound from the steering cloumn...its like an twitching sound of metal brushing, what could be the problem? when the disc is used and weight is transferred on the front this sound comes. i put the bike on main and tried to see if there was moment in the forks by pulling them to and fro, but no such sound came.

                    1. Worn clutch plates is one main reason.
                    2. Get the steering coloumn, bearings checked. Get the fork also check for slight bend.

Okay will get the bearing checked, but is there no chance to get the clutch engagement point a little nearer??

                        1) check clutch play.. it tends to loosen up after long usage..

2)are u sure its from the steering column and not the brake caliper itself. coz i had a problem with the front brakes as if it was gonna get ripped off when i applied the front brake.. sounded like the caliper is gonna break off from the disc..

turned out they used diesel for cleaning the disc and finally when i complained they cleaned with petrol and after a few kms it became fine..

P.S this is my first post on xbhp :P

                        • i had problems with my front brakes as long as i can remember.. basically i hav just one brake in my bike.. the rear :P front is just cosmetic...

so had it checked by a mechanic i greatly respect.. not your typical bajaj service center mechanic..

he cleaned the whole brake caliper unit with petrol.. and then drained the DOT 3 brake fluid and put in DOT 4 brake fluid..

and voila the second greatest thing that ever happened to my bike.. the brakes where so precise i could stop with pinpont precision.. almost like having dual disks

but it rained so heavily yesterday and i refused to take shelter as i was loving every second on my bike ( oh btw changed my engine oil to VALVOLINE 4T as well as with the brake fluid) and today my front brakes are back to the old spongy one.. and doesnt really seem to work..

what could be the problem ? water seeping in ? a fix to the problem asap would be greatly appreciated as every second on the bike without the front is like a miracle

If you haven't changed your clutch plates for 20K odd, then time to change them. If it's not the plates, try adjusting the clutch cable where it enters the casing, the double nut adjustment.

If the problem still persists, then the center nut which hold the cluth plates in place is lose. I have had this problem, have already tightened it 2 times after replacing my clutch plates. Once the bolt almost came off inside the casing

It's probably time to check and replace the disk pads/disks. My disc pads worn out heavily at about 16K and the metal started scratching the surface of my disk. Now there are indentation lines all over my disk

First, let the bike dry out properly and clean the disks with a dry cloth, even if it's the same after that, time to let some fluid out from the bottom to clear air gaps. Get a mechanic to do this.

dude it happened the VERY NEXT DAY i drained the brake fluid and replaced it with dot 4.. it was awesome for just one day before rains ruined everything..

there could be some leak somewhere ? air or water seeping in ?
