Nope they are not available here in India and they anyways are not recommended for the P135LS..Originally posted by andrei79 View PostA very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

this bike is very light so wanted to know how does it perform with a pillion(assume 70kgs+ weight or weighing as much as u)?? i have heard it's lower end torque is good as bajaj made an undersquare engine..
this is not a family bike but sometimes we need to "ferry" ur sibling or ur parents...hows the bike for that?Pulsar 200NS parts list

It perform's very well with a pillion, handles very well as i always carry an almost 70 kg pillion no problems what so ever, just that it's not the most comfortable seat and sitting position for the pillion if its not you girlfriend
and i don't enjoy it that much when my mum sits with both her legs on one side( i hope you get the idea)
it has very good low end torque being an undersquare engine, having said that its also very rev friendly too even though its undersquare, gives fz's and other 150 a run for their moneyMost motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

oh thats great...well i want to buy this bike and saving for it...it will be a long time when i actually lay hands on this..
wanted to ask as my pillions will be more heavier than me..lets say 90 kgs :P
activa is fine for ferrying family but i suspect this bike wont be as good for that...
my gf loves this bike she especially likes that high rear seat (which most people dont)

with a pillion weighing just more than 100 as seen in the pic..

Also North Goa with

haha
Only apart from the feeling of lack of power the bike still performed very well !!

awesome!! i thought one wud face problems on normal roads with such a heavy pillion but u rode in that muddy route...hats off to the bike and you too(only a great rider can pull a bike in those muddy roads with a heavy pillion..i find it difficult to ride on normal roads too!!)
the lack of power isnt an issue with the heavy pillion s long as i can reach from point A to B safely...the power is only required when riding alone or with gf...
still wondering why does everyone suggest me not to go for p135...try stunner or SS125 or SZ-R....and the standard unicorn

Slipping Clutch
I had an overhaul of few major compenents at 16.25Kms. One of them was the replacement of clutch plates. And I had advised them to put Motul oil 20w50.
Now, everytime I change gears by revving up ~7-8K and let go of the clutch, it slips, it's as if it's still in clutch like 70% and slowly (2-3secs) to get back full engine grip. What I'm not sure is if it's a problem with the way the clutch pates have been installed or if it's somethingto do with the 'Synthetic' oil. I can't say for sure at this moment if the oil is synthetic as the service slip doesn't have a description of the oil but I remember telling him about putting synthetic the time I gave the bike.
Initially I thought it was because it's a new clutch and it's just wearing in, but even after 3 days, the case is still the same and I'm starting to suspect the oil more.
Any input would be appreciatedLast edited by Cyrus_the_virus; 03-15-2012, 12:25 AM.

Got my bike after 1st paid service
I gave my P135 for its first paid service and got it today evening..the bike is running just perfect..the gears are butter smooth, the vibration is also not there...its just perfect..

But one odd thing which i noticed in the bill is that the oil change cost Rs. 375
whereas during the free services it was just Rs. 250
...i asked them about them and they said it was a better grade oil this time...
So what i mean here is did anyone face this during their first paid service.??
Let me knw guyzz..

Havent heard this from anyone else..i also was going to change my bike's clutch plates at around 15.5k kms but had to go for the gujarat ride so didnt find the time then and yet...Originally posted by Cyrus_the_virus View PostI had an overhaul of few major compenents at 16.25Kms. But I did change the oil to Motul's 15W50 then with the same old clutch plates...no clutch slippage then until now after 19k kms...
A service is due and i guess will again experiment with Bajaj's 20W50 and new clutch plates..
Oil prices have increased..the one which costed about 250 bucks went to 280-300-320 and now about 350-375...Originally posted by trsakhilk View PostBut one odd thing which i noticed in the bill is that the oil change cost Rs. 375

what i got from the pulsar is a huge smile on my face every time i heard the grunt of the motor and the total experience of riding a pulsar is unlike the stunner, unicorn etc who wants so much smoothness and finesseOriginally posted by mayank.travadi View Postawesome!! i thought one wud face problems on normal roads with such a heavy pillion but u rode in that muddy route...hats off to the bike and you too(only a great rider can pull a bike in those muddy roads with a heavy pillion..i find it difficult to ride on normal roads too!!)

hehe..the troll face....
i keep wondering if i want utter smoothness like am gliding why dont i drive a car then :P i want a good bike...
well i guess i'll go for the p135 then....i would be buying it later this year so right now its p135...if bajaj releases a better bike(speculations it is going to release a new commuter in may based on recent technologies it incorporated on p200ns) i'll compare and buy the better one...though p135 wud be a better choice as its tried and tested and xbhp members approve it

Probably clutch plates not adjusted properly, how much did they charge you for the oil? and get the oil poured in front of you. how many kms has your bike done?Originally posted by Cyrus_the_virus View PostI had an overhaul of few major compenents at 16.25Kms. Was that fully synthetic or mineral?Originally posted by nin View PostBut I did change the oil to Motul's 15W50 then with the same old clutch plates...no clutch slippage then until now after 19k kms...
I realize that the bajaj oil cost 250 for the 20w40 and 350 for the 20w50. I was charged 250 for the Motul oil. I told them 20w50 but not sure becuase it's not written on the bill, but the bike is not overheating like the time the dumb fellows at the bajaj service center used 20w40 and the bike was overheating. Also, the bike was in service for a whole day due to all the different work on it, so I was not there.Originally posted by BikerKid View PostProbably clutch plates not adjusted properly, how much did they charge you for the oil? and get the oil poured in front of you. how many kms has your bike done?
As mentioned in my post, bike has done approx 16.5K.
The clutch problem is worsening everyday, it's taking more than 3-4secs now to fully engage. I don't think it's the oil anymore.. i'll have it checked this weekend. Till then. i'll have to rev, change gear and still keep revving till it takes 3-4secs to pull forward.. makes me look like a total ass on the road

i am using yamalube by yamaha semi synthetic oil that cost me 475 some months back full synthetic oil will cost you around 900 or more so they have probably put mineral oil in your bike.so oil is not a problem it is probably ill adjusted or fitted clutch. BTW i thought clutches last a good 30k kms at least? p.s- uve written 16.5Kms so just wanted to confirm its 16.5k kmsOriginally posted by Cyrus_the_virus View PostWas that fully synthetic or mineral?
