That's the reason I asked you to get a mechanic to clear out some fluid from the bottom. If it's tight after that, then that means yes, there is some air getting in from somewhere in the system.

There are reasons behind advises that appear not necessarily the solution

It's probably time to check and replace the disk pads/disks. My disc pads worn out heavily at about 16K and the metal started scratching the surface of my disk. Now there are indentation lines all over my disk

First, let the bike dry out properly and clean the disks with a dry cloth, even if it's the same after that, time to let some fluid out from the bottom to clear air gaps. Get a mechanic to do this.
To adjust the centre nut do we have to remove the clutch cover and drain the oil first?
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

yes, unless you can hire a telepathist and tell the nut to tighten itself

but like I said, this is a last option unless everything else fails or you have already checked.

        • Help !!!

          Hi all,

It seems that all are happy with their Pl 135 except myself.
I don't know why but sometimes I feel cheated by bajaj.
Firstly the digital fuel gauge is a mess(and by reading different posts it seems that many have faced it), don't know why they had to put a cheap quality sensor(or whatever it is that gauges the amout of fuel left) in the bike it is better not to give it and be old skool than give a bad one.
My gears are also causing some problems sometimes they just get jammed(I have rode 1225kms till now) and I have to use lots of force and it happens around the Netural i.e. sometime at 2nd gear or the 1st gear.

But the main cause that I am writing this post is,

in a month my bike has stalled 2 times,
the first time it stalled was when I was just coming after getting my bikes first service than I thought that the petrol tank would be empty so I drag it to the station and got it filled and it started.
But today it happend again(and yesterday only I had got Rs 300 fuel) I was waiting for the signal the bike was in the 1st gear as soon as the signal went green I released the clutch and the bike went about 1 meter forward and than stopped... I than tried to get it started with the self-start but for no use...
Than I went to a quite corner (there was lot of rush on the road) and tried to start the bike using the self start and the kick start... after 3-4 try with the kick it got started but as soon as I revved it it stalled again it happened 2-3 timed than I just started it and let it be like it, the ODO showed 1k rpm and than started dropping and and the bike stopped again this also happendd 2-3 times and with both self and kick start....
After about 10min of continuous trial the bike started like it should have earlier and I rode it for full 11 km without any problems.

Please can anyone suggest what might be causing this problem, because this is a major problem if it happens during the middle of a heavy traffic.

          Thanks

It seems your fuel/air ratio might be too lean...have it rechecked by a good mechanic...

Also about the gear being hard..i had felt the stiffness for the first 500 kms but then it gradually decreases and now after running 11k kms its completely gone...
also do check if your oil is as prescribed by the company..maybe that's the problem...

BTW the fuel meter may not be exact but it is better than the analogue ones...at least for me...

Thankx trsakhilk but could you elaborate a bit more on the '/air ratio might be too lean'??

              Thankx again

Well its like this...there is a optimum setting for the fuel/air ratio...
So if the amount of fuel increases in the ratio then it is said to become rich..
This gives you more pickup power, speed etc but less efficiency(mileage)

So if the amount of air increases then the mix is said to be lean...i think in your case that must be the problem..in this case although you might get good efficiency but the pickup and power is affected...
Moreover it is not advisable to run on the lean mix..have it sorted out quickly..

Now i am only guessing this may be your problem...there can be other reasons also for the stalling prob..

The first one looks much better...as it wont hinder the air flow...

                        • But the Apache Scoop is some what long and there will not be comfort to do gear up and Brake...No Mechanic is able to judge weather Apache Beast Scoop or Gladiator Scoop Suits our Bike...How to find the same.

                              • Guys please be carefull. These Service Center people are not well trained on which oil to use for p135. They still believe that our bike uses 20w40.
