Congrats and welcome to the family Himanshu. You are right in saying the 135LS is a total VFM product. Take good care of her and she will definitely put a smile on your face everytime you ride her buddy. Stick to the run-in guidelines, don't over rev, stay in the 45-50 kmph speed band and get the engine oil changed at the first servicing. Stick to stock specs till 30000 km bro otherwise warranty will be void.

With the monsoons coming up, she will demand regular washing, take good care when riding in the wet. Needless to say, you must have already gotten yourself a helmet, but I would advise in investing in a good pair of riding gloves bro. Rider to Rider, trust me you will be more comfortable with gloves on since the grips are superhard on the baby.

P.S. : If the ASC technicians do not pay attention to your feedback regarding the bike during servicings, don't hesitate to contact BAL and give them a piece of your mind regarding the gross negligent behaviour of the technicians.

sp33dfr33k: thanks bro, i have ridden it for 85 kms till now and i am really happy to get this baby pulsar as my ride, yes i am riding between 40-45 kmph and my office distance is almost 25 kms one side, believe me its very difficult for me to keep her at these speeds as its ready to pull hard everytime but somehow i control my wrist to keep her in control. i will not mod her as i like its stock appearance and yes i will take speacial care of her during rainy season, i am looking to buy a new helmet and a pair of gloves as even i felt that its grip is a bit hard for long rides, but still its an outstanding machine in its category. Bro i have heard that bajaj dtsi 10000 is not a good engine oil so should i go for Motul or castrol activ 4T at its first service kindly update me on this. and intially i am finding issue in finding neutral in this baby pulsar but i hope it will get smooth with the time. I am waiting for my office shift to get over so that i can ride it again back to home, Tonight i will post its pictures and i would be happy to get your guidance on maintaining my ride as i am very new to biking. Regards Himanshu.

Himanshu: Happy to hear from you Himanshu. Trust me i Know how rev-happy she is, just rein in the throttle till you cross 3000 km and she will be kick ass later on. Keep in mind to vary your speed and rpms, don't just stick it in 4000rpm and 45 kmph, vary your speed from 35 to 45 to 50 and back. Hope I am not confusing you too much.

Regarding helmet and gloves, it would be best to "try before you buy".

Yep, Bajaj oil is not that good past 5000 rpm and its life is about 2000km, but if you change to 3rd party oils before your bike's warranty expires (i.e till 30000km or 2 years whichever is earlier), the warranty will be void. So think about that before you make a decision. I waited till i crossed 30000km and switched to Motul. I used Castrol Activ but it was not as good as Motul so switched back again.

Regards finding neutral, don't worry, as the kms keep piling up on the odo, the gearbox will get set and shifting will be much smoother. I faced the same thing too but after the 1st servicing things improved very much. Till then if you want to put it in neutral at traffic stops, put her in 1st gear, kill the engine with the switch and upshift...et voila!!! Neutral...

"I am waiting for my office shift to get over so that i can ride it again back to home, Tonight i will post its pictures and i would be happy to get your guidance on maintaining my ride as i am very new to biking." I know the feeling all too well bro...trust me it only becomes better as you both get acquainted over time.
Waiting for the pics bro...and don't worry about advice, gurus of biking are here on our forum. All that i know about biking i learnt here .

@Himanshu: Dude, nice clicks indeed. Is that a bullet 350 in the background...?? You are right in saying if you will love your bike it will love you back brother.

There has been much debate on the misnomer "Teflon Coating" here on our dear Xbhp, so let's not start another one, Yes colours tend to fade over time, not only blue, and we can slow this fade effect by "Teflon Coating"...it is nothing but a good coat of wax polish, and there are specialized polishes for each type of surface, one for metal, one for rexine and yet another for plastic. IMHO get it done at servicing dude, i know i make it a point to get my baby detailed at every service...and to the maximum possible extent keep her away from direct sunlight and water when you park her. A decent bike cover will keep her in the shade and dry if it rains.

P.S: Don't use a keychain for your bike's key coz the key-chain will mess up the finish of the area it rests on while the key is in the lock while driving. I realized that a bit too late and my plastic key-chain chipped off the paint in the area in-between the clip-ons. The downside is that its going to be hard to not keep misplacing the key and frantically searching for it.

Also keep in mind to lube the bike's chain every 500 km or so. A nicely lubed and tensioned chain provides much fun during acceleration bursts

Have fun!!!

To disable auto choke, you have to connect that thermal sensor's wire to ground. (engine body)

Sensor resistance decrese when engine heat up. sensor has around 2.4K resistance when engine cold (30C) when I test it from my P135.
resistance was around 1.2K when engine heated to 75C

Thanks buddy. Yes you are right. I have connected thermal sensor wire directly to negative terminal of the battery now. I tried to attach the wire to engines body but didnt work. May be paint on engine doesn't conduct.

I think, battery is also a culprit for this issue. Battery is leaking green liquid and console shows low battery alert always after a few kilometers ride. Weaker battery means weak electric flow to thermal sensor. isnt it?

I am planning to visit castrol bike zone near to my place this weekend. let see.

Hi rajaking, nice to hear from a potential LS owner . In order to help you better could you give a little bit more info about yourself buddy?? Your height and weight so to speak ...coz you have to factor your vital stats before making the decision to purchase.

The 135 LS is a total Value For Money motorcycle buddy...I have been riding her for 2 years now completed 43000 km and let me say she is a joy to ride. Always puts a smile on my face.

Coming to the point of vibrations, every bike has "Resonance Vibes" at a certain speed and certain rpms of the engine and it is the same for this bike too.

My daily commute is around 45 km and I have to tell you , you need to get accustomed to this bike coz its a well handling bike that is nicely setup. That said the ride is a bit hard, but you can get the suspension setup to a softer setting.

Let us know if there are anymore queries dude.

rajaking: Cool dude this is your type of bike buddy, and as your first ever bike this one is an awesome choice. Regarding the mileage, it totally depends on your riding style and it will get stabilised after the 1st and 2nd servicings to around 55-62 kmpl...most commonly reported mileages are 60 kmpl on highway riding and around 50-55kmpl in city roads. The engine has decent low n mid level torque so u can easily trot around at 20 kmph in 5th gear and id need be she will pull cleanly frm 20 to 80kmph in 5th itself.

@rajaking: Hi buddy, i purachased this bike on 3rd July and till now i have completed 750 kms on odo and first service done at 520 kms. As like you i was also in a dillema to get my first bike and was so much confused between ignitor, szr, stunner, p135. After soing all test rides and keeping in mind that i need a sporty commuter and have to travel 42 kms daily and also keeping in mind the VFM factor, i opted for p135, and till date i am enjoying my daily ride of 42 kms. Its butter smooth and so greedy for power beside a 135 cc engine, sometimes i feel like its very over powered and demands more speed everytime but i maintain 40-45 km/h speed at 3.5-4k rpm in 5th gear, the day i purchased it and till today its getting more smoother in ride, sitting posture is brilliant for our height as i am also 5'6 and 65 kgs of weight and i am now addicted to a bit sporty posture which is comfortable now, i ride in delhi bumper to bumper traffic, and cruise on expressway from gurgaon to delhi at slow speeds but its a gem to ride bro, waiting for 2000kms on odo, as now i am eager to test it at 80-90km/h mark. Vibrations are not there till 50 kms as i have not gone beyond this speed and i would say that its a common thing with everybike at higher speeds but people say that once p135 crosses 65-70 km/h mark( said vibration slot), vibration goes and smooth beast awakes till top speed, yet to be tested. But from the point of view of commuting to office and long rides, its a good machine, and till now its very reliable, not as silent as hero and hondas but yes you will love its grunt and raw power, its almost ahead of 150s at green signals, people used to give a look at my bike when i stand at traffic signal, mostly splendor, passion, discover, stunner, shine users, i noticed either the plasma blue color is attractive or the asthetics of p135. I got it for 66k in Haryana and its a complete VFM for me and i am happy with my research and final decision bro. Due to 4 valve and dtsi technology i am getting around 62kmpl on higways and 55-58 in the city after first service and also now they have made the rider seat a bit soft and cushioned.

If you are looking only for mileage as the utmost priority..dont buy this bike..

Its not true that it cant go beyond 80kmph with a pillion...who was kidding you ? Did he know the bike has 5gears in all ?
