hi guys my friend needs a help, he has a 135 ls, he is facing a peculiar problem, the bikes rpm increases to 4.5k and status stagnant.... this behavior is erratic. his bike is 8800 kms... he is based on mysore, but popular bajaj has failed to identify the issue.

have any of you faced this problem?

Do you mean that whenever he starts his bike the rpm goes to 4.5k and then stays there...??

If this is the problem then have his RPM setting checked...it should be somewhere around 1k normally. i had faced this issue once..i corrected it myself...its a simple solution just tune your idle rpm to 1k...thats it..

      Ride safe.

        1) Check if the choke isn't in pulled position.

        2) Check for idle screw setting.

        3) Check condition of spark plug, air filter.

        4) Water / moisture in spark plug cap.

        Cheerz!!

Nope it isnt the idling rpm. Idling rpm is set as per the manual. The rpm increases suddenly while on the run.

If the bike runs at such speeds when hot, it could be tuning issue. Also, is it equipped with auto choke? If so, it could be malfunctioning..

I changed my engine oil yesterday from the crappy bajaj oil to Motul 5100 15W50 Semi-synthetic oil. It does cost a bit extra (575/-). But immediately i noticed after riding for around a 1km that the vibrations have gone down by around 70% and the gear shifting has become very smooth.
Also the vibration doesn't increase with increase in rpm either. Its so much smoother now. I think i have fallen in love with my bike once more...

Hoping this continues till the next oil change. I am never going back to that crappy Bajaj oil ever again.

Not yet...i have only run around 200kms since the oil change....except for the smoothness rest everything is as before...its just that it has become more fun to ride..
The forum from where i researched about the oil said that there might be a slight drop in mileage but nothing to worry about..i am still getting around 55km/l..

Ive clocked 5k on my odoSince 3.5k i have this ticking noise coming from the upper side of the engine, i guess from piston cylinder mountingIt was very less initially, but now its louder and is noticeable even if the bike stands idle, and even louder when engine warms upSvc guys told me its tappet noise and its normal and bike is in perfect condition, they wont fix it no matter how much i insistIs the tappet noise normal ?Wil it be harmful to my bike in a long run ?

Need a price check on both rims front and rear.
Had a hard bang in a series of potholes, both rims dented -_-
running temporarily with tubes in them.

Had an accident two months back and broke my leg....thankfully my P135 did not suffer much damage.
But the front tire rim has a slight bent it seems. It's ok to ride if the speed is below 50kmph but it is really very hard to drive that slow for me...

So is there any way to straighten the rim. The SVC guys had no idea about it and said its better to get a new one which may cost around 2500/-. Its really is very minute bend so i am hoping if any one know how solve this problem.

                        Help me guyzz...

You can run a bent rim with tubes, but if you are running tubeless tyres, then it is next to impossible to get the rim straightened completely to ensure no air leakage.

Accordingly you can choose whether to use the old rim or get a new one.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

first of all, wish you a speedy recovery and glad that you are safe.. It is possible to get the rim straightened but to an extent only. but it can not be perfect and if you are using TubeLess tires, then you will be at risk of air leak from the side walls where there is sufficient gap for air to escape. if the gap is minute, there is a solution "Tubeless Solution" sold in the markets which cost about 150/- filling the tire with this solution will help by filling up the minute gaps from where the air is leaking.. again, this depends on the gap. if the gap is quite huge, then it wont work and the only solution to this is using a tube..

if you are talking about the wobbling then fixing the bent will help to an extent again not as good as new..

                            Hope this helps

Can someone tell me Pulsar 135 stock AFR screw setting? my bike came with 4 full turns anti-clock but still mixture lean. white spark plugs and high engine heat.
I saw AFR normally have 2.5 - 3 turns only. is it different for pulsar 135?

Hi everyone, I hope all my friends here are riding their machines with utmost happiness. I joined this community in July 2013 when I got my new p135 and today I have completed almost 32k kms on it. I want to share one thing that it is still the best machine I chose among the others and I am very happy with it. I want to share some mods that i did on my bike just to give you guys an idea of how different it can look if you are bored of the same look and feel. In the next post you will see the pictures of my p135.
