My brother telling me that i need to change the clutch plate, but service center guys telling me to change entire great box with clutch plate...

    Hi

the gear shifts in p135 are are a bit clunky.
if you try to downshift multiple gears at a time then sometimes it stucks midway.
I guess you are using the bajaj oil.
In my experience it holds good only till first 500 - 1000 kms. I use Motul 5100 which would help making the shifts and the overall ride noticeably smoother. ( but it will decrease the acceleration).

In addition, learn throttle blipping. It will definitely help in changing gears more efficiently.
I usually avoid giving my bike to others.
I have also noticed that a little bit of throttle after a downshift alleviates the resistance.

Don't know about replacing the clutch plates with R15.
Mechanics would be in better poition to tell.

Cheers. If you do replace the c.plates then please be kind enough to report your findings.
    happy riding.

    • Jerks/Misfire/Vibration Problems at high speeds in my Pulsar 135LS Please help.

      Some Info about my bike:
      KMs done: 10.5K
      Fully stock
Engine oil changed to Motul 7100 20W50
      Spark Plugs new
Air Filter Clean as a whistle
      Recently serviced
Fuel cap/tap replaced to some other one as previous one was broken
New pipe connecting fuel tank to carburettor
I have opened Carburettor 3-4 times before due to some problems

So here's the deal. My Pulsar 135LS jerks/misfires and vibrates a lot after 80kph... It goes back and forth at such speeds like it's running out of petrol... It hesitates like it's misfiring or something.. There's some loss in top end though I can reach 120kph on a good road after a lot of struggle. There's loss in mileage as well. I remember my bike used to resonate vibrate at 60-75 kph and after that it used to be smooth but now it's kinda smooth till 87kph(7k RPM) and after that it vibrates a hell lot I'm guessing this is because of this jerkiness at those speeds.
Like I mentioned above.. Spark plugs are new. Air filter is clean. Fuel tap is new ( though of other brand ). New fuel pipe. As I mentioned I used to fiddle a lot with my carburettor earlier.

I researched about this on the web and this is what I'm suspecting:

      Carb Slide/Diapraghm problem
Spark Plug wires/Ignition coil problem: I watched a video on youtube of a Cbz guys saying his bike was doing things like mine at such speeds and he said his spark plug wires were faulty
Water in fuel tank: Water has gotten into my time previous times as well.
Throttle position sensor problem?: I disconnected it but still it was the same.
Stuck auto choke?: Some guy told me about this. I have an auto choke and yes it's faulty. It doesn't work correctly. I disconnected it a long time back. Simple.
      Choked Jets?

What do you guys think? What could be the problem? SVC guys here in Nagpur are very dumb. If I tell them what the problem is they'll test ride it and say it's fine.

      • Help needed in adding 6th gear in my Pulsar 135LS

        Hello guys!
I own a Pulsar 135LS and I wanted to add 6th gear to my motorcycle. Is it possible? Can I use Pulsar 200NS's gearbox or any other bike's gearbox? I want to cruise smoothly on highways at lower RPMs and I was wondering if I could do this. Help appreciated. Is it economically viable? And how much will it cost? Thanks

          • Pulsar 135LS all the electricals not working except self start

So today I was tinkering with the wiring of my horn.. it was a bit loose so I was just adjusting it and then suddenly I noticed my speedometer and all the electricals were not working.. Horn, lights, tachometer, speedometer, brake lights NOTHING is working EXCEPT self start which is very weird.. The issue resurfaces even after turning the engine on which is rather strange.. I suspected I blew up my fuse but the fuse is working.. No problems there.. What could be wrong? I'm scratching my head. I'm a DIY guy so I want to do whatever is possible myself. Please help me out guys.

Once the same happen to my brother's CBR 150R. Check the relays as it was the culprits in his case.

                Guys..
                Just curious to know.
Pulsar 135 has power output similar to many 150cc bikes, even better than some.
And lighter then all 150cc bikes.
                Can the P135 outperform a FZ v1 & v2 ?
P135 have better power to weight ratio than a Suzuki gixxer.

                Thanks!

No my problem is bcoz bike engine had a hit earlier and gear rod is bent (very slightly, which other 5 mec's can't figured).
Last week only i changed that.
Sorry for late reply bcoz every 2 months I've been looking for solution.

I asked mec for r15 clutch plate, he said it may work. But he won't guaranty engine smoothness & life. So i won't try that.

I'm here again, bcoz now I'm looking for cosmetic modification, very little.
First i tried 200ns handle grip. It fits nice.
Second i tried 200ns footrest. But it didn't fit.
Is there is any alloy+rubber footrest (like 200 ns) is available for Pulsar 135 ls?

                  • 2016 Pulsar 135 LS engine problem

Hi. I have a 2016 pulsar 135 LS run about 5000 km... The bike has had two free services. Since the last service the engine is behaving strangely. I had adjusted the carburetor AF ratio (Golden screw) and set the warm idle RPM to about 1400 (value given in manual) two months back. Now the problem is.

In the morning (8:30 AM), the engine is very crisp and the bike accelerates brilliantly, throttle response is good. Even at a speed of 40 KMPH in 5 gear, the acceleration is amazing. The idle RPM reaches 2000 after riding for 10-15 mins.

But when I start the bike in the evening (7-7:30 PM), with the same settings, initially the engine runs okay. But after riding for 10-15 mins, the IDLE RPM is around 1500-1600, and the acceleration is very bad. I turn the throttle all the way still the acceleration is very slow. The bike literally doesn't want to accelerate.

I suspect this could be due to improper AF ratio and difference in air density between morning and evening. Please Help

                    Engine capacity - 135 cc
Air cooled, 4 valve, 4 stroke engine.
                    Wet sump forced lubrication
                    Compression ratio : 9.8:1
                    Idle speed : 1400 RPM
                    Max net power : 13.5 PS @ 9000 RPM

No, it can't outperform fz . Even it has many good characters due to its less weight we feel very unstable in high speeds + not so refined engine compared to Yamaha .

PS: I have both of them in my garage.

Stability may be lower because of lower weight, but p135 can easily out perform a FZ.
                        I have seen it.

I know this because I own both. Personal experience always has a hand above some random experience.
With less stability and less refinement (compared to fz) do you think a person can enjoy its top end on regular basis.
Also I think you are saying this because of same 13 bhp power, but do consider the rpm at which it is attained and torque.

PS: I don't offend any 135ls owner. I am also a proud owner of it and love it for many other character of this bike.

                            Okay.
Saw many video where P135 keeping up with apache Rtr and suzuki gixxer.
                            Not India ,some other markets.
And the 0-60 and 0-100 figures are quicker than FZ.
This made me to reach this conclusion.

Should agree to what you have said because you own both.
                            Thank you for the info.

Its been a long time since i posted anything.
Its because i have been having no problem with my P135LS till now.

Last friday my bike suddenly started making a rattling sound and after some time it would quite down. There was no performance issue as such.
This happened again the next day. I took my bike to a service center and the service center guys were baffled to as to what the problem was.
I left the bike to them for 2 days as they also wanted to experience the problem.

Today i got a call from them saying my piston is shot. It would need to be replaced completely. When i asked them for the reason they said it was due to the age of the bike and also the quality of engine oil used. Now this really pissed me off as i have been using Shell 20W50 engine oils and it was the best experience i ever had. Now as for the age till now my bike has done around 68000 kms.

Anybody have this kind of issue ever with their P135.
                              Pls let me know.

What kind of rattling? From where did the sound originate?

Rather than rattling is it kind of a high pitch scratching sound? If that's the case then it could be the gudgeon pin.
