@ Renny, Yesterday i happened to ride one of my friend's RTR-FI and found that the bike struggled so much to cross above 5K rpm and i also noticed that it had silver injectors. What would be the problem?? Clogged Injector or so??

Atlast yesterday morning got a call from TVS Kolkata office and confirm me that they already dispatch the cillinder & piston kit to the SC and request me to visit SC after 2 PM.

SC replaced the whole kit with a new packed fresh kit. The whole job completed at 8 PM. And they also provide some gyan for free regarding runin in.

Here is some pic for you.

BTW now you suggest how do i runin it, till time I didn't cross 50 kmph mark. What ur suggestion.

btw, u still at neral? i have a friend at karjat who used to come all the way to panvel to service his fiero. now it's become a pile of crap due to poor maintenance so he does it locally. also, the suzuki svc does a lot of rtrs and other tvs bikes. just not free services and warranty support. there's a very good mech there called rajubhai, so if your bike is out of free svc period then you can get it serviced there. i did one of my free svcs there when they still had warranty support and was very pleased with the work.

Yap! I stay at neral on saturday sunday. Rest of the time i am at vikhroli quarters. on monday and saturday, i travel from neral to vikhroli and so via panvel-new mumbai-vashi bridge-eastern expressway. Whats your friends name?

Panvel has an authorised tvs service centre which had a very good report until 2 years back.don't know now ,been out of touch with tvs actually.

alternatively you can get in touch with atul aherwar from kharghar who regularly services his bike somewhere

Guys i want to get a keychain printed with APACHE in its original font , can u guys name the font??? if anyone has a scanned image also it wud be fine , i tried to get it from TVS website , the font is too small for printing

the new injector seems to do the job pretty good and i havent experienced any problem with it...
with the old injector unit my bike used to take hiccups or the said "missing" till 3500 and was refusing to go beyond 7000 some times..

if the injector is a silver one then thr's mighty possibility of it being choked if it's not going beyond 5000 and showing hiccups at that thanks to the super 'clean' petrols we get...

tell ur friend to take it to SC and get them cleaned ASAP,cuz there cannot be prob other than that.
(or may be the silver one the bike is having is difective too

,fingers crossed for that)

Yups, The Manager is Ravi Mishra and Ankit is TVS Engineer. He told me to go to K Automobiles, Nangloi indl. Area. Went there and

, they said chain set needs to be replaced. Just because acc. to them, chain was loose and making noise, so chain set need to be replaced.

I insisted that the clutch plates are slipping, but they insisted that front sprocket is slipping. I can't correlate both the situations with drop in pick-up and drop in top-speed. I mean, surely chain set might be responsible for some drop in pick-up but it can't be responsible for lag (initial jerk) in pick-up.

Please guys, help me in this respect....

guys few months back i had replaced front stock sprocket(13t) with cbz's(14t) which results in slight increase in cruising speed(13T- 53kmph at 4krpm. 14T:- 58kmph at 4krpm) although there is no problem with 14T as i completed my delhi-pune trip with it

. now i want to pop some wheelies

but i hav heard the fact tht if the frnt T is more than stock 1 thn it will harm the sprocket shaft.
so guys plz suggest me shld i get back to stock 13T?

With 14T? u need to open the throttle more. and regarding shaft, TVS design is at higher FOS. Go ahead with 14T. i dont think it would give any prob.

Where are you in vikhroli? i worked for a while in wns at godrej a couple years ago. my friend in karjat is pratik patil.

i have to say that the simran suzuki svc is one of the most professional and neat places i have ever seen. it reeks of pure japanese standards and philosophy.

Did you check the piston and cylinder wall of the old bore kit? do you have any pic of it?

Pulsar cpas are available in some automobile sops.....i guess it would fit RTR's too.

Open up the front sprocket cover and see for yourself....if not take it to your faithful mech and check it with him.

is the Cbz front sprocket available seperatly?
