well....
my bike will be completing it's first year in oct but i'm facing this paint issues now...
1.The alloys started loosing the black thing from third month itself and they're now with the 'white' effect...
2.There are sign of rust in silencer (the part which comes out from the head side),downside of the swingarm, and side stand.
3.The end part of the silencer which is round in shape has become completely white (the ring like part of it)
4.the small sproaket cover has completely lost it's colour
in the good 2 and half inch of area.

if the injector is a silver one then thr's mighty possibility of it being choked if it's not going beyond 5000 and showing hiccups at that thanks to the super 'clean' petrols we get...
tell ur friend to take it to SC and get them cleaned ASAP,cuz there cannot be prob other than that.
(or may be the silver one the bike is having is difective too

,fingers crossed for that)
Thanks renny, just happened to read this!!! btw. the bike is @ SVC.Whenever there is a Rainbow in the sky, I know it's u mastering the art of Cornering. U will always be remembered brother, R.I.P Arun.

4th service done
Happened to get my 4th free service done yesterday. Following were done:
1. Opened and cleaned the injectors. Since I had used petrol from every possible bunk and stored fuel, I got this done. Also changed the fuel filter.
2. Got the front and rear pads replaced. And they were in a worn out condition
3. Got the air filter replaced. The air filter had SOO much dirt and muck. It was all black fine sand and by the looks of it, it was all of MORE PLAINS. Paid my due respects and chucked it away.
4. Replenished the brake oil and filled MOTUL 300V 5W40 oil.
5. Got the head sealed, AGAIN. This is the fourth time I have got it done...
The bike is good now. Quite smooth and I DO NOT have that sputtering and hesitation at the 3.5K - 4.5K rpm, a character of the RTR Fi. There is no issue all the way to the redline and the injector is the same old one. Lets see. If the problem crops up again, I will probably get the injector replaced then.Democracy is when 2 wolves and a sheep meet to decide who is for dinner. Liberty is when the sheep has a gun.

Hey guys what is the best cruising speed on the RTR on highways for good, if not best mileage? does riding at 70-75 have a noticeable difference than riding at 60? or maybe the better way to put it is,
What is the ideal cruising speed on highways?

Its the most common and the only problem reported in RTR 180 so far. But the proble was'nt upto this magnitude. All they had to do is open it up and tighten it....thats all. This is the reason for the 180 engine being so noisy.
Thats wat i heard from the SVC when i asked abt the 180.
renny....put up some pics of it! you can very well get a replacement for it under warrenty.Originally posted by rennycornelius View Postwell....

please dont expect too much from ABS device it is not full proof that you will not slip or fall cause of not driving your bike properly however this device helps eliminate wheel locking issues while hard emergency braking
Thanks Dreamz should i buy the abs online or is there any showrooms in bangalore

That's a lot of paint issues for a year old bike man, how's the weather in your area? could that be the cause?Originally posted by rennycornelius View Postwell....

my silencer downpipe and some other bits are rusty, due to the heat causing the paint to peel off. the whitening sounds like heat damage.

on a more serious note, i would say stick to 'if it aint broke don't fix it'. Even i haven't changed my injector because i haven't had any issues. plus, renny mentioned that his powerband seems to have come down, but my guess is that it's probably some other factor(s) too.
yes dude, you have been away for a looooooong time!Originally posted by Tron05 View Postbeen away for a long time, by the way ,did anybody find a solution for the FI misfiring?

read above and search back a bit. renny posted that the new silver injectors solve the missing problem.
huh! you can buy abs? i thought it takes thousands of crunches to get even a 6-pack, forget 8!Originally posted by karworld2000 View PostThanks Dreamz should i buy the abs online or is there any showrooms in bangalore
p.j. aside, see meet the spartans to learn how the pros really get abs.

My take on abs
guys .. i want to share a story with ABS ..this will be helpful to those who are planing to buyOriginally posted by karworld2000 View PostThanks Dreamz should i buy the abs online or is there any showrooms in bangalore
my friends got new pair of ABS for his 220 and this is the first time i got to take a trial of it
from the day he got it . he said the breaking has improved
i was saved because of ABS and etc etc
he also said that the downside is '''we cannot do stoppies with ABS
on a fine xbhp GTG i took his bike for a trial and gave it a shot at stoppies
I DID IT !!
wait wait thats not all
he saw this and was stunned NOW people will say its all about the skills .....
he took his bike and again tried ...HE GOT IT
he did a stoppie on the same bike which couldnt pull a stoppiee for 3 weeks
so all i want to say is there MIGHT be some advantages with SO called ABS but its all IN OUR HEAD ...
just like people say ..i installed a KN and beat a R15
KN dosent do anythin other than making your bike lean unless you do something about it .. same is in this case
NO OFFENCE --- JUST MY TAKE
ps--all the capital words were just emphasizing my take and i wasnt shouting

In the previous posts, I said its NOT an "ABS".
It is a pressure regulator. Even I was allured by this thing, but after expediting about it, my faith was shaken a bit, as they are falsely marketing it as ABS, and there's no safety certification to this product. Maybe it works well, and I don't wanna discourage anyone.
IMHO, it will affect our braking style. Just in case, we have to use some other bike, our mindset would be "Brake Hard". This can lead to drastic situations.
A proper ABS has to calculate many things, e.g wheel speed, modulation etc.Yes....

) with the old injector...

Areey i forgot with you tht words comes handy!!!!!!!!
i'll post the pics....
i was ok with the alloys loosing the paint and this silencer thing is digestable as it gets too hot with my kinda riding...(shifts at 8K-9K 80% of the time)Originally posted by julianpaul View PostThat's a lot of paint issues for a year old bike man, how's the weather in your area? could that be the cause?

today in the eve i washed the swingarm with car shampoo(formula one) and the rust part went away....
i think it was formed due to the mud deposites(i didnt washed my bike for 8 days and it was fully covered with mud)
but that front sproaket cover thing is pinching me....
will go to the SC and claim it under warranty.....
yes with the new SILVER INJECTOR the 'power limit' has came down to 10500-10700...Originally posted by julianpaul View Poston a more serious note, i would say stick to 'if it aint broke don't fix it'. and MAN it do solves all the 'character', 'missing' prob of our beloved FI..!!!!
earlier with the old injector it used to show the pull till 11200 or so...
but the limit still stands high and now i change gear at 10000 MAX, and i dont rev it beyond that....
i'll still recommend you to get ur injectors replaced to new ones as the bike is running more smooth with them as compared to the old one....Originally posted by Tron05 View PostMy bike suffers from the frequent misfiring(bomb blasts), The Missing problem doest affect me so much now as i now got along with it.
and for the 'bomb blasts'.......
enjoy the sound man!!!!!
