Then i insisted to the service center to check all the nuts and bolts of the bike in front of me. It was a broke Engine fondation bolt which caused it all. Now due to vibes most Apaches tend to loosen the two foundation bolt situated inside the front sprocket cover. Now whenever any body feels more than the characteristic vibes i think first check the foundation bolts. I was annoyed due to those vibes and dont want others to get annoyed.

        No I haven't heard the grunty sound. I just think it's the super hot indore weather to blame maybe the IATS is misreading and providing an incorrect mix ratio. Esp, since it sorted out in the cooler evening. Mumbai is only about 35 i think.

        Btw, in my last service, one of the long bolts in front of the engine which hold the crashguard was broken. So i think regular checks of nuts n bolts would be good.

          Today in the eve i went for some 11kms again and the bike behaved completely normal (never exceeded 6000RPM though)

            Its the n-th time it started to leak. Also the bike is struggling to get past 9K rpm. Suspect the injector to be dirty. So gave it for service today to clean that and set the fork right. The left side fork inner pipe has actually gone weak it seems. The chief mech called me up and checked if I had done all free services as per schedule so that it can be claimed under warranty. Hopefully that happens!! Never knew Leh has taken such a heavy toll!

              Hope they clean the injector with cleaning solution, as like julian told some SC only does it with pressured air.

                I dont see a problem with that!! Pressurised air is a good cleaner as far as I think.... How else do u clean it?

                    I wont be taking it to SC to get it checked then, let it be.

                    Petrol will be doing just fine to clean the injectors, but WD40 has some lubrication properties too, so i think it can not be used in there.

                        Average efficiency please

                        Guys report your averege with bike type(carb or FI)

                        My figures:FI

                        58-62 (below 4500RPM)
                        30-35 (revving the nuts off drive)
                        40-45 (overall with 6000RPM shifts and ocassionaly 9000-10000RPm shifts)

                          45-50 - shifts @5000 rpm
                          50+ - shifts @3500-4000 rpm
                          40-45- shifts@ 6-7000 rpm

                            Bike: RTR 160RD Carb

                            58-60 kmpl: when ridden between 50-60kmph (below 5000rpm)
                            44-45 kmpl: on normal riding (thats near to 100kmph or more than that and shifts at 9k rpm)

                              umm, didn't get ya mate, you always use the 3M spray to clean your injector? it's funny, over a year and a half and 15k kms and i haven't had my injector opened even once.
