No I haven't heard the grunty sound. I just think it's the super hot indore weather to blame maybe the IATS is misreading and providing an incorrect mix ratio. Esp, since it sorted out in the cooler evening. Mumbai is only about 35 i think.Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostIndore is touching 41 in afternoons.
Strangly when i went in the eve (7km one way) the bike behaved completely normal.
Julain you heard that grunty noice kya?
Btw, in my last service, one of the long bolts in front of the engine which hold the crashguard was broken. So i think regular checks of nuts n bolts would be good.

Its the n-th time it started to leak. Also the bike is struggling to get past 9K rpm. Suspect the injector to be dirty. So gave it for service today to clean that and set the fork right. The left side fork inner pipe has actually gone weak it seems. The chief mech called me up and checked if I had done all free services as per schedule so that it can be claimed under warranty. Hopefully that happens!! Never knew Leh has taken such a heavy toll!Democracy is when 2 wolves and a sheep meet to decide who is for dinner. Liberty is when the sheep has a gun.

Hope they clean the injector with cleaning solution, as like julian told some SC only does it with pressured air.Originally posted by Aparajith View PostIts the n-th time it started to leak. I dont see a problem with that!! Pressurised air is a good cleaner as far as I think.... How else do u clean it?Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostHope they clean the injector with cleaning solution, as like julian told some SC only does it with pressured air.Last edited by Aparajith; 04-11-2010, 12:00 AM.Democracy is when 2 wolves and a sheep meet to decide who is for dinner. I'm sure it's a heat related issue. In the cooler evenings it wouldn't manifest. Dunno about the exact problem or a solution though.Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostToday in the eve i went for some 11kms again and the bike behaved completely normal (never exceeded 6000RPM though)
Carb/injector cleaner spray. 3M is decent i've heard. Anyone know if WD-40 would do the job? the petrol coming through the line would clean out any residue if any.Originally posted by Aparajith View PostI dont see a problem with that!! I wont be taking it to SC to get it checked then, let it be.Originally posted by julianpaul View PostI'm sure it's a heat related issue. In the cooler evenings it wouldn't manifest. Dunno about the exact problem or a solution though.

Petrol will be doing just fine to clean the injectors, but WD40 has some lubrication properties too, so i think it can not be used in there. The Magician"

umm, didn't get ya mate, you always use the 3M spray to clean your injector? it's funny, over a year and a half and 15k kms and i haven't had my injector opened even once.Originally posted by Aparajith View PostOh, 3M spray... I always use that!! So I guess compressed air is not an issue
