What did you think the companies sold you when you bought power and speed? high-performance fuel? nope, it's regular fuel with added detergents (note, diff from tide and surf ) to clean the fuel system. Absolutely useless for carbs but now sounding kinda interesting for FIs. Btw, speed93 and 97 are the higher-octane versions.

There is another product by 3M which u pour into the fuel tank as well to clean it from the inside.
Thanks for the link. It says it's 'designed to run the engine during the cleaning procedure while cleaning the injectors as the cleaner passes through them'. So that means no removing anything. Most info i got on the net though said to disconnect the fuel lines, connect a 'pressurised solvent' to the injectors, run the engine and then reconnect the fuel lines.

good eye man! that means it's 99mm in height, almost the width of our stock. and 19mm higher. A bit overkill if you ask me, and the PSD is supposed to be heavy too. Punman, any idea about the weight diff?

Hows the A150 and the FI doing?

have done 2000kms after service, runin complete, ripping her nicely. Performance is satisfactory. guess i need to swtich to stock tyre size. motul 5100 is good. i like it. but i dont think i'll continue with it, will swtich to 300V shortly!

Rear tyre has a huge nail in it since a week. too lazy to repair it Bike has completed 46k kms.

I have absolutly no idea of what avg its returning!

Alright then. will use this fuel in my FI now.

I think it'll rub the mudguard when shocks will be compressed good, specially in doubles.

did you modify the swing arm for fitting the tyre?is it tubeless? have you experienced any mileage drop?? have you changed the front tyre as well?

One word of warning to anyone who wants to put this tyre.It is not meant of RTR. Purely for grip I have put. No mods in Swingarm but it was scraping the swing arm a little when I first installed it.Performance and mileage will dip.Not by much though.

No I havent changed the front tyre although the guy told me if I did change it I would be able to do knee cornering if both were PSD.

Tyre isnt very heavy. And one more thing,My tyre doesnt fit into the rim of th RTR therefore I have put a tube in the tyre. So not tubeless anymore.

Before people criticize me for buying the tyre I would like to say that I bought it only for its phenomenal grip which I feel no other brand can match.

Checked it initially. Reserve - reserve method. one time it returns 53+ the very next time it returns 41 and again it returns 50+. dont know if its a problem with the petrol knob or something else. guess the avg should be 40-45kmpl. Bike has been running in reserve for the past 1000kms. I just refuel with 50rs worth petrol everytime the low fuel warning comes up. I tend to raom around if there is more petrol in the tank

Missed your post somehow(how wierd). Good to have you back bro! During your absense i had got myself a p220 in sep and sold it off in feb! neglected the RTR for a while and it punished me with a service bill of 7k rs. with pending expense of another 3-4k rs. But now am loving it!

The problem is water level in the battery it needs some acid and water the battery doestnt charge properly if there is less or no water in the battery. I had got same problem but i knew the remedy.

Hold on, i just explained the theory behind their marketing. I don't know if it will really work as they say. Maybe check with a few people who use speed and power and see if it really helps keep injectors clean. that's the only benefit we're looking for.

I doubt that will happen, there's usually atleast a couple of inches of travel for the shocks. 19mm won't make em touch the mudguard.

Well, it's a pirelli, the grip is bound to be miles ahead of our local tyres. Even IRC, which all the foreign customers absolutely loathe seems to be one of the best tyres available in india! read reviews on the ninja 250 abroad to see what people say about the stock IRCs.

I must mention this, there is a cruicial point which most people overlook when sizing tyres. A 2.15" rim (which our RTRs have at the rear) is only good for up to 90/90 sizes. 100 and 110 sizes need a 2.5" rim. 120 needs 2.75" and 130 needs 3". If you fit a tyre that's bigger than what the rim actually supports, you will end up messing up the profile of the tyre. The figures i've mentioned are as per MRF's tyre sizing charts. But more than just on paper, i first noticed this when upgrading the cbz from spoked to alloys wheels. the 100/90 geocruiser which fit perfectly on the spoked had a wierd, squashed profile when used on the karizma's enkei. further investigation revealed that the old spoked wheel was a 2.5" and the new alloys were 2.15".

Seen my 220? In kerala or in xbhp? BTW am i hyd! RTR geeting better with age? yep it does. It tries to lighten one's wallet (just kidding), atleast for me. Btw my bike aint that old, though it has done 46k kms engine is almost new!

And +1 to the tyre, alloy thingy. Am gonna go back to stock tyre size once the Vee rubber wears out (hopefully in another 5-8k kms)

So the best will be the thing i decided, use any petrol but change the fuel filter at every 5000kms to keep the dirts, debris miles away from the injector.

But looking at the beefy 90mm profile i still doubt it'll kiss the mudguard in swing in doubles.

Very good average you're getting there, more petrol more roaming theory used to apply to me too, but that was 3 years before
