What did you think the companies sold you when you bought power and speed? high-performance fuel? nope, it's regular fuel with added detergents (note, diff from tide and surfOriginally posted by rennycornelius View Post

Thanks for the link. It says it's 'designed to run the engine during the cleaning procedure while cleaning the injectors as the cleaner passes through them'. So that means no removing anything. Most info i got on the net though said to disconnect the fuel lines, connect a 'pressurised solvent' to the injectors, run the engine and then reconnect the fuel lines.Originally posted by Aparajith View Post

the tyre looks beefy. could you share the pricce, and where you got it in Bangalore?
Hows the A150 and the FI doing?
have done 2000kms after service, runin complete, ripping her nicely. Performance is satisfactory. guess i need to swtich to stock tyre size. motul 5100 is good. i like it. but i dont think i'll continue with it, will swtich to 300V shortly!
Rear tyre has a huge nail in it since a week. too lazy to repair it
Bike has completed 46k kms.
I have absolutly no idea of what avg its returning!

I think it'll rub the mudguard when shocks will be compressed good, specially in doubles.Well then check and report .Originally posted by onlinesatish View PostI have absolutly no idea of what avg its returning!

Purely for grip I have put. No mods in Swingarm but it was scraping the swing arm a little when I first installed it.Performance and mileage will dip.Not by much though.Originally posted by julianpaul View Postgood eye man! that means it's 99mm in height, almost the width of our stock. and 19mm higher. No I havent changed the front tyre although the guy told me if I did change it I would be able to do knee cornering if both were PSD.
Tyre isnt very heavy. And one more thing,My tyre doesnt fit into the rim of th RTR therefore I have put a tube in the tyre. So not tubeless anymore.
Before people criticize me for buying the tyre I would like to say that I bought it only for its phenomenal grip which I feel no other brand can match.Last edited by Punman; 04-12-2010, 10:49 PM.

Checked it initially. Reserve - reserve method. one time it returns 53+ the very next time it returns 41 and again it returns 50+.Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostWell then check and report .
dont know if its a problem with the petrol knob or something else. guess the avg should be 40-45kmpl. Bike has been running in reserve for the past 1000kms. I just refuel with 50rs worth petrol everytime the low fuel warning comes up. I tend to raom around if there is more petrol in the tank

Missed your post somehow(how wierd)
. Good to have you back bro! During your absense i had got myself a p220 in sep and sold it off in feb! neglected the RTR for a while and it punished me with a service bill of 7k rs. with pending expense of another 3-4k rs
. But now am loving it!

The problem is water level in the battery it needs some acid and water the battery doestnt charge properly if there is less or no water in the battery. I had got same problem but i knew the remedy.Originally posted by chatterbox1 View Posttoday when i tried to start the bike the self start wasnt workin properly and the sound which the electric starter makes while trying to start the bike was barely audible and i had to put my ears near the tank to hear it.The clock in the speedometer got reset to 00:00 automatically and the process( in which whenever u turn on the bike the rpm meter goes to 12k rpm , i think its called self check correct me if i am wrong) repeated itself 2-3 times and bike did not start on electric start although all lights were workin fine. It didnt strike me to chck the horn. but this problem disappeared when i rode the bike for a few kms and the bike performed properly for the rest of the day. what could be the reason for this. problem with relay or battery or sumthin else.Never upgrade without getting your basics RIGHT.

Hold on, i just explained the theory behind their marketing. I don't know if it will really work as they say. Maybe check with a few people who use speed and power and see if it really helps keep injectors clean. that's the only benefit we're looking for.Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostAlright then. will use this fuel in my FI now.
I doubt that will happen, there's usually atleast a couple of inches of travel for the shocks. 19mm won't make em touch the mudguard.Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostI think it'll rub the mudguard when shocks will be compressed good, specially in doubles.
Well, it's a pirelli, the grip is bound to be miles ahead of our local tyres. Even IRC, which all the foreign customers absolutely loathe seems to be one of the best tyres available in india! read reviews on the ninja 250 abroad to see what people say about the stock IRCs.Originally posted by Punman View PostOne word of warning to anyone who wants to put this tyre.It is not meant of RTR. I must mention this, there is a cruicial point which most people overlook when sizing tyres. A 2.15" rim (which our RTRs have at the rear) is only good for up to 90/90 sizes. 100 and 110 sizes need a 2.5" rim. 120 needs 2.75" and 130 needs 3". If you fit a tyre that's bigger than what the rim actually supports, you will end up messing up the profile of the tyre. The figures i've mentioned are as per MRF's tyre sizing charts. But more than just on paper, i first noticed this when upgrading the cbz from spoked to alloys wheels. the 100/90 geocruiser which fit perfectly on the spoked had a wierd, squashed profile when used on the karizma's enkei. further investigation revealed that the old spoked wheel was a 2.5" and the new alloys were 2.15".
Don't sweat it mate. I had seen your 220 (i was in kerala) but didn't know you sold it so soon! yeah, the rtr gets better as it ages eh ?Originally posted by onlinesatish View Post@julianpaul

So the best will be the thing i decided, use any petrol but change the fuel filter at every 5000kms to keep the dirts, debris miles away from the injector.Originally posted by julianpaul View PostHold on, i just explained the theory behind their marketing. But looking at the beefy 90mm profile i still doubt it'll kiss the mudguard in swing in doubles.
Very good average you're getting there, more petrol more roaming theory used to apply to me too, but that was 3 years beforeOriginally posted by onlinesatish View PostChecked it initially. Reserve - reserve method. one time it returns 53+ the very next time it returns 41 and again it returns 50+.
