Yes I'm well aware of the full synthetics but being a student I can't spend almost Rs.1000 (which btw covers my entire servicing charges once) on an engine oil. My parents would flip out.

      • Guys,

Need some inputs for my RTr fi. Its 27K kms old

        1. Which would be the best Chain sprocket kit for the rtr fi?
        2. The best spark plug I can fit in bike? iridium and otherwise?
        3. Does the GS 150r air filter show any improvement?
        4. What is the cost of the 180s speedo assembly?
        5. What would be the best front brake pad I can fix ? Im planning a new disk.

Hope i get some replies fir my questions. Im trying to build up to a mid life rejuvention for my bike,

        cheers!
        thanks!

        • Hey guys I heard that TVS next in line is 200cc FI. I got this info from my friend who in turn heard this from one TVS SVC. I don't know if its already known news among all you guys. If so sorry, but I can't wait just to scribble about it . Well the thing is my friend has a 160cc FI and he had some problem with the ECU and when he went to SVC the mechanic who he knows very much told about this and even tested with a 200cc ECU which they have with them. He said the exhaust note is bit more vibrant and gives you the feeling of riding some big machine.

I have read somewhere that the issue with Fully synthetic oils is, the levels decrease drastically and so its important to keep topping up when you go for a long drive. Have you felt anything like that? Also whats the price of it?

It happened for some guys when they were on long drives riding at high RPMs continuously , for city rides it should be fine and I constantly keep checking it and never experienced it so far.
Shell Full syn costs 600 or 675 not sure.

                1. Can't answer since I'm in Indonesia (but try to source DID chain, 428H 124links, and use tvs original sprockets)
                2. So far the best plug I use is NGK CPR8EA (try to source it from dazzler or fz16), did try the Denso IU24 iridium, smooth run (lower vibration & slower throttle response), slighty lower pickup..
                3. Since rtr have double air filter, why don't you try to remove the inner one?
                4. Can't answer, about us$50 I guess
                5. As I mention before, use kawasaki ninja 250's brake pads
Also clean your brake caliper (specialy pistons area) from dirt..maybe you also want to replace your brake fluid with some better DOT4 brake fluid?

I've tried the motul h-tech 100 10w-40 full synthetic, don't have any issue..oil level remains the same (or maybe some little got evaporate) even after 6000kms..I often shift the gears at 8-9k rpms, and it's better than using shell advance vsx 10w-40 semi synth, also cost "almost" the same price
But it's better to use motul 5100 ester 10w-40 semi synth, but quite pricy..

but i couldn't find NGK CPR8EA in indian ngk site
rather found NGK CPR8EA-9 for f16 and unicorn
dazzler is not there in their list.
by the way i too looking for spark plug change

                    • IRIDIUM IX rocks \m/

I over geared my EFI to a difference of 7.14 It gave me better mileage and top end but I could not compete with my cousin[another EFI] in drag races due to drop in initial pick up[I could pass him after 70kph] now I changed my spark plug to NGK and I can take the lead very easily in 1st two gears itself

And to people who think spark plug does not lead to increase in torque : actually a good spark lets u reach higher rpm in a much lesser time thats what happened to my me

You can use CPR8EA-9, the "-9" only a note that it has a default gap 0.9mm
Just as I said, the stock plug for dazzler and fz16 is the best plug I've tried

                              • Hi All,

I did my first paid service (no:6) for my RTR-HE last Saturday. But the SVC guys didn't tear the slip from the manual book. They have done so till all the free services.
I also forgot to ask about it and when I came home only I noticed this stuff.
                                I hope its ok.
By the way the total expenditure was just 325rs including oil & filter change and some tightening of screws in silencer.
Also I have bought NGK Iridium spark plugs (CR7EIX). Cost around 550rs.
Will fit the same later. As of now still running in stocks.
