Nop u don't need it...Originally posted by PsychoRider View PostI've heard of additives for petrol, but this is new for me. Maybe TVS Tru4 is so bad that they need to add additives. I won't need this with other engine oils right?---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally got the amount refunded from the dealer. I had mailed to [email protected] [General Manager (services) ]. He had called me and enquired about the situation & also informed the Tristar TVS about the same. Last saturday I went there and they were kind enough to consider my situation without even any argument.Originally posted by kantu View PostYeah as per TVS you can claim anywhere but it wont happen without a fight
if you are a regular they will oblige immediately(atleast where I go, Ashwa TVS)
Check the manual to know what is covered under warranty.
Thanks to Lokesh (Sr. Advisor) & Murthy (Manager). This has only increased my trust on them. The reason why I'm going there for servicing (even though its not the dealer from which I bought the bike) is just the quality of their service & especially Lokesh who listens our problems & test the bike personally before listing all the issues. Ok thanks to all for informing that SPEED Sensor can be changed under warranty. Thanks a lot guys...

Whats the frequency at which the rear brake liner should be replaced ? It usually lasts 2.5-3k kms for me.
And when ever it rains my front disc fails
Braking is almost reduced by 75%. How to fix this ?

Don't use fully synthetic. Go for semi-synthetic oil.
@All
Hey guys I'm going for a trip (to & fro 450km) and already I have run nearly 1.5k with current TVS oil. So should I change oil before that or after the trip?---------------------------------------------------------------------------

You will feel the difference in gear shifts after some 30-40km odd ride.
Last time that is my 6th service they changed the oil. I forgot to tell them not to change. During my 7th service I told them explicitly not to change and so they didn't. Anyway will change after the trip. Hopefully it will not mess up the travel as already 1.5k km is covered without changing. I really don't know what is the draining period of TVS oil.
Any idea guys???---------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is always better to change engine oil when you set out for a trip and that too continous riding for 400-500kms.Go for the Shell AX7Originally posted by susheelkumar View PostI normally use Shell semi-synthetic 10w40 grade.
