after reboring some the bike will over heat often better add in an oil cooler and I saw jeol mention some where about some kind of coating layer is to be done after boring to withstand heat [I read that like 2 months ago can't recall completely will check and say]

Guys the TVS service guys are lame =_=
I went to them for this problem first they said to change spark plug so I switched from Bosch twin electrode to NGK Iridium IX ; now they are saying only Bosch twin electrode works fine thats why you are still having this problem so I made them use the bosch from my friends bike ans still having the above quoted issue now they are suggesting to change ignition coil
am really mad with this . . are'nt they supposed to be well trained in these stuffs . .for me it seems like they are experimenting how to troubleshoot

and today before 30 mins they changed the plug cable and saw if the problem was solved
thier next plan is putting another bikes fuel injector in mine and seeing if it is working fine or not
The issue is when I give full throttle at 5th gear in speed of 30~45 i will lack in power and the bike sounds like a bullet with huge gap sound of combustion not like broooom its more like dhat . . dhat . . dhat . . dhat this sound does not come when i close the full throttle at above 60 speeds
If the problem does not get solved by change in injector their next plan is changing ignition coil . .
can some one help me ?? please anyone?Last edited by Raja Saiyan; 04-09-2012, 05:26 PM.sigpic

Hi raja...Could you drop the complete issues in A180 thread...You will find more experts there & can find a solution to this.Originally posted by Raja Saiyan View Postand today before 30 mins they changed the plug cable and saw if the problem was solved

Sure it's not the ignition problem..it seems like the bike didn't get enough fuel supply when you give a full throttle, so results are more incoming air which lead to a lean mixture..Originally posted by Raja Saiyan View Postand today before 30 mins they changed the plug cable and saw if the problem was solved

Better to check the ECU, try to "re-set" the ECU..then you can try another ECU..then try to use another injector if it's still persists..or maybe your fuel pump a bit laggy? (Joke, haha)
Also check all parts and sensors that affected the fuel delivery..
Maybe you also want to check those parts' cable for continuity and their sockets..
Hope helpsLast edited by martin_sky77; 04-09-2012, 09:45 PM.

Hyperedge carb vibration
Hey guys. I have an 8 month old hyperedge with 4k on the odo. From a past few weeks, my bike has started to vibrate excessively. Today i filled it with shell super petrol and the vibration near the foot pegs got reduced noticeably but the front portion still vibrates extremely. The handlebars vibrate so much that the hands start to feel irritated after 10 km of riding even with gloves. The front aerodynamic hood vibrates so much that its noise is easily audible above 4k rpm. Today i set the bike in neutral and rose the throttle to 4k and touched the engine. It hardly vibrated but the carb and the surrounding areas were vibrating violently. What could be the reason? Engine oil was changed at 2.6k about 75 days ago. Thanks in advance.

RTR indeed a "vibrator"Originally posted by pcgamer View PostHey guys. I have an 8 month old hyperedge with 4k on the odo. From a past few weeks, my bike has started to vibrate excessively. check ALL your bolts & nuts, tighten it to proper torque..(tighten it when COLD, never tighten any bolt at HOT or WARM condition)
also maybe you want to try some semi synth oil like MOTUL 5100 Ester (10w-40) + oil filter change..
or maybe you want to try my setup?
-tappets clearance 0.10mm
-NGK CPR8EA (you can try NGK CR8EIX or DENSO IU24 to lower some vibration, but you'll get a slighty lower engine response)
-carb mcs 3.7/8 turns out
-Motul 5100 Ester 10w-40 engine oil
-removed TPS switch
-clutch cable freeplay 1cm

I feel you should change your riding style , try Downshifting 1-2 gears on such low speed .
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

Issue solved : the bike goes awesome with a new Ignition coil . . . today they switched the coils of another FI and mine and its working fine . . .they are saying a new ignition coil will cost around 1.8k . . how much will MSI ignition coil cost??
@abhiwar usually I rev upto 6k rpm in every gear xD . . I noticed this issue in hills its not only d 5th gear its like every gear has it in d rpm range below 4k in 4th gear its around 25 in third from 15 to 20+
@Martin d FI system is fine ^^ thank god they tried to bill me 6 k for tat o_OLast edited by Raja Saiyan; 04-10-2012, 09:50 PM.sigpic

@martinsky Thanks. Yes the RTR does vibrate but it is vibrating a bit higher than usual here, that too from the past few weeks. As for the bolts, which one in specific causes carb to vibrate more? In my bike the carb is vibrating at a much higher frequency than the engine.

there's 2 clamps which band the carburetor, filter box, and the insulator..check those out
also try to check the insulator (rubber which lead to intake manifold), there're 2 bolts with screw pan head..and check for cracks around the insulator..
then check all the engine mounting bolts and nuts, tighten them with a torque wrench with proper amount..
there're about 10 bolts & 6 nuts, can't remember it clearly
(5 bolts + 1 nut at front, 3 bolts & nuts at top, 2 bolts & nuts at rear)

Any idea where I can buy Ninja's pads? How much will they cost?Originally posted by martin_sky77 View Post2. i suggest & recommend you to change you pads to ninja 250's brake pads..they have better material quality and blablabla, but more expensive..the stock RTR's pads are bad, it'll soon wear your disc (right now i'm using yamaha's single piston caliper, since one of the stock piston often stuck)....the sooner u change it with ninja's pads, the better
It's the CR7EIX. Noticeable change in firing pattern has been observed after changing the plug. Throttle response has increased quite a bit and bike starts at first kick during cold mornings. I wonder why people use CR8EIX/CR9EIX/other in RTR. Any advantage of using CR8EIX/CR9EIX/other over CR7EIX? Even the NGK India site specifies CR7EIX for the Apache RTR.Originally posted by martin_sky77 View Postwhat's the NGK iridium plug's code u've bought? CR7EIX? CR8EIX? CR9EIX? or maybe SIMR8A9 (CBR 250R laser iridium plug)?

They always experiment. Not a single mechanic @ TVS is skilled enough to fix the tiniest problems in RTR. I've visited 3 different SVCs are it's the same everywhere. TVS SVCs are pathetic.Originally posted by Raja Saiyan View PostGuys the TVS service guys are lame =_=

Please mention the brand and type of oil that you are currently using. Use Shell AX7 or Ultra and vibes will reduce a lot.Originally posted by pcgamer View Postmy bike has started to vibrate excessively

1. well, you can find them at kawasaki's svc right? or maybe you can ask those who have ninja (where to buy and cost)Originally posted by iChaitanya View PostAny idea where I can buy Ninja's pads? How much will they cost?

2. my bike always starts at 1st kick during cold mornings with every plug i've tried, even with stock plug..and it's so easy to start..since it's hard to find ngk's iridium here, can't comment much about it's performance (i haven't tried CR7EIX neither CR8EIX, just tried DENSO IU22-IU24)
CR8EIX and CR9EIX have different heat transfer rate, for NGK & DENSO the increased number means colder plug (usually used in high speed riding) it transfer the heat from the plug to the cylinder faster..don't bother with numbers, just make sure you get the correct heat range by looking the plug's insulator colour after several hundreds kms
