Bulb cost only Rs.90.00. No its not that simple. You have to supply proper power to the bulb to get its full effect.Originally posted by puneetsingh View Posthello kauria...

No there is no changes in magneto/coil, but convert the entire system to DC apart from headlight. So magneto is now free, and only providing power to the 55/60 watt bulb, hence better lighting.Originally posted by wings_of_fury View Postmate any changes to the coil? any battery drainage issues?
Hope its not too early to ask

55/60 is a very good bulb, i tried it yesterday in mostly city condition and found good result. Though the heat from the bulb is bit higher then stock 35/35. Even feel some extra heat in the magneto side engine cover. Dunno what it was with the stock setup, never thought to check. Today have a plan to visit the highway and let see whats the result.Last edited by kauria; 03-08-2009, 08:28 AM.sigpic

Kauria
awaiting your report on the bulb.
BTW, please also tell us what all you did while converting it to DC... just directing the headlamp from battery or did you even change anything at the alternator that sends charge to the battery to send more charge... not able to get the correct terms but read about something like that on xBhp itself

hey guys who r facing problems of their bikes getting overheated, misfiring, getting switched off while ridding or lack of throttle response with their rtr fi, go to ur dealer ask them to change some O-ring in the air supply pipe. and if the problem persists, get ur FUEL INJECTOR changed. Fight Tooth and nail and get ur machine working alright. the guys at the service center wont change the fuel injector that easily. you guys jus refuse to take the bike if it wasnt 100 percent OK. Threaten them of the CONSUMER COURT, u will see them soften.
I had faced the same problems right from the moment i had driven my machine out of the showroom. Infact i was probably the first person to complain about this but the TVS engineer from my area couldnt figure it out and i had to make a trip to PUNE 280kms frm my city. even after getting my bike serviced, there wasnt much change.
i mailed to Siddharth kumar (Manager, Quality dept) and threatened them in very mild words that if my bike is not 100 percent fine, i will do something that i would not do otherwise. he understood what i wanted to say and he asked the service engineer to make it fine. but even after DOING SOMETHING, my machine wasnt ok. I finally got the FUEL INJECTOR changed and then it all stopped.
its realy very frustrating when you know that something is wrong with ypur machine.
