Guys, need some help. Started my Apache after a long time today. The Electric start aint working. Just a whirring noise thats it.Thought, the battery must be low, so should be okay once i start regular riding. But, what worried me was that the tacho needle started to rise everytime i press the horn. Now why would it do so?
any pointers. Has my electricals gone kaput?

Hello everyone, Have already put up a post on Bangalore Thread. Dont have any responses there, so here it goes:
I am in need of a good service center for my RTR in Bangalore - done 20k kms. Either a Castrol Bike Zone or anyother place you guys have used. I need a bar end weight for my bike too, the left one has fallen off while transporting the bike . Help guys!!!!
my RTR FI (almost 6 months old now) has now started loosing the shine on the levers.....i mean the silver colour levers are now looking two toned!!!!!!
any body who's experincing this...(in just 6 months i would have not mind it if it satarted after one year....)
alloys and exhaust colour fadings are going strong too......

It is expected-Indian heat! My R15 aluminium accessories which were gold colored have all become white now!
Anyways, for the plastic&painted items, you can get teflon coating done, which restores them to the original shine.
Else, use a good wax polish for the paint&car dashboard wax polish spray on the plastic parts.
that is just awesome man, just wish it was so easy to do on the FI. anyway, you're saying that you just changed the air filter without rejetting? did you change the needle position in the slide ?
You can try Power Crest in Vyalikaval. They do a very good job for all bikes. Pretty reasonable as well.
didn't you see this post ?
if you're asking about the bar-end, the last time i checked it was about 150 rupees. they were only giving the whole kit, thats the bar end itself, the long screw and nut, metal tube and two rubbers. i needed only the screw which was about 26 bucks but they refused to sell only that. i'm going to the svc today and can check the exact cost. btw, if the bar end fell out leaving the inner rubber inside, you will need a long, thin rod with a hook at the end to fish it out. i used a bicycle wheel spoke. the svc centre should know what to do.

this may sound wierd but a friend has an issue with his fingers turning black when using exposed aluminium levers. painted ones (even black) are fine !
my grey FI is over 6 months now and no fading anywhere. it's in the sun till about noon, then shade.
I missed that post completely.. will check the place out.
As for the bar end weights, i need the whole inner tube too. Either this weekend or the next.. lets see
