The screw which you see on the outside is only for adjusting the idling RPM. To change the A:F ratio, you need to get the carb tuned.

closing the screw by 1 turn or so (trail and error by checkin the plug's colour or the "BOOST RPM" method) will do the trick....

                Hi bud ,
                very well done,
For quite some time back was looking for similar posts, wow you made it with RTR EFI thats superb , even though several people have doubt about the capabilities of RTR EFI like people thinks its not reliable etc and has issues so its great that such type of trip with this machine will make the confusion clear enough.

If you could share with us the trip log or put down your experiences regarding the trip would be great for us , and specially i would like to hear about how you felt or if there were any issues you might have faced while riding etc , i own a rtr efi too so would be great to hear from you.

                Ride Safe Ride Long.
                Thanks

The log is already up. check here: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/8...sea-level.html

No issues with the RTR Fi. The Fi only made riding in these conditions a breeze. Whatever the temperature, condition or terrain I was rest assured the bike would start with one press of the starter. Just remember to carry oil and replenish it. The bike actually consumed around 300 - 400 ml for the whole trip!

                    • Trouble with RTR Fi

Guys been facing a few problems with my RTR Fi . Was among the first batch to be delivered in Chennai in Oct '08. Have done more than 8200 KM on it and loving it till now .

                      1) Unable to Rev above 5000 RPM. Bike starts jerking violently and slowing down. Happens in 3rd, 4th and 5th Gear.
                      2) While slowing down vehicle turns off automatically.
                      3) I have been reading about the new 'O' Rings, How can I make sure my FI system was changed to the new one as I am sure I have the faulty 'old' ones.

Guys need your help badly as vehicle can't go more than 50 and my everyday office trip time has just doubled .

Remember me ? ok as per your problem check the fuel pump that would be the culprit & also clean the air filter,Let the experts say about this don't worry man

Actually makes more sense to relax and spend time enjoying the trip than hurrying it and getting it over with. I've still got goosebumps all over after reading and seeing all those pics.

                          • Guys, was riding today and noticed some new issues.

The stability problem has been sorted out. Now there is a clutch issue. I recently had my clutch plates and pressure plates replaced. Sometimes when I am shifting down at signals, I hear some clunking noise from my gearbox. Is this normal?

Next. I was at a signal today. Stopped the bike in first and killed the engine via switch. Absent-mindedly, I fingered the starter in first WITHOUT engaging the clutch and the bike cranked and shot forward like when you release the clutch in gear. It's like the clutch was still semi-engaged even though I had let go of the lever! Pushed the lever back away from the handlebar manually, and then this issue disappeared, but it could come back. My question is: why is this happening, and what do I have to do to fix it? Change the lever? Change any other parts? It can't be clutch slippage because there is no "increase in RPM w/o increase in road speed." The clutch wire is new too. The lever dances around a bit, and when I push it back it sits totally disengaged so I'm thinking it's a sticky lever which needs to be changed. Your kind help, please.

Also, the bike is fine until 60-70 km/h at which point it does about 5500-6000 RPM on the tacho. At 80, the bike feels super stressed and it refuses to climb beyond 95 without immense strain and vibration. I can do 100 but it puts a heavy toll on the engine, and it's noticeable because the engine heats up like a b**ch! I swear, I can cook an omelet on it in 2 minutes after I rip it to 100! So yeah, there's oil in the sump. I think super-lean mixture is the culprit here. Please help, yet again!

Any Delhi folk who know a good mech/service station/tuner in East Delhi/Noida please give me the whereabouts! I have been to CBZ Sec-10 and the work was good but not good enough. Have heard about CBZ Sec-58 but I want to get it tuned from a dedicated tuner!
