Take my suggestion; do not try different oils in each service. All three oil are more or less same, Gulf makes the engine much smoother compare to others. Try YAMALUBE SG if you find it from local Yamaha service center. It is very good oil and if possible stick to it.Originally posted by prakash_mvpa View Post

Why not use a chain lubricant exclusively sold for that purposeOriginally posted by rocker View Postguyzz I'm using ELF moto 4 gold to lubricate my RTR's chain, if that it is that good I am just waisting it. I like its color too, it feels pure

Make over for my ride :extended swing aqrm on apache 150
hello apache indians ,
My self krishan from delhi , i have Apache 150 almost 2.5 years old now ( got it on my 18th birthday )
anyways i am looking forward applying extended swing arm and replaceing both my forward and back wheel with wider ones , with wider i mean , hell wider not normal 120/140mm
, no tensions about millage as i am not a daily rider , metro rider instead !!!
a pulsar with same thing:
If anyone one else here has done same kind of thing with their bike , kindly do reply with a picture of your ride
, so that i can show it to mechanic. what exactly i want to convert my bike into.
He told me that he can fit a ZMA arm into my bike which will cost me 3000Rs approx just for the arm , tyres alloys extra , should i go for it?
please post your reply : Here are my questions:
1. where in delhi can i get extended swing arm applied in apache 150 ? ,I mean any experienced mechanic if you know , post the shop name and location ( i know a lot of modifying shops exist in karol bagh and mayapuri , but i dont have their numbers and addresses)
2. How much will it cost me change the position of brake paddle and grears like in RTR ? ( like they have changed the whole riding position of RTR with this change in position )
not so desi bikes:

Hi mates.. nice to be here as a pride owner of APACHE.. its been a month since i got my machine.. ODO reads 700ks and done the 1st service.. due to some fuel efficiency factors maintaining the speed in the range of 45-50.. But occasionally i steered it to some 80 to 90's..
when goin in seventies range the bike feel very stiff and harder.. But it moves wit a great acceleration... is it normal for the APACHE or any other bike.? or do i ve a problem wid my machine.?

Yaar my RTR's techo is giving some problems. Once it got stucked at 4k rpm, yesterday after 3rd service it is behaving like some wire is loose. It just goes on and off while riding and works fine after a reset or two. What to do,
claim warranty??

Khat-khat noise from handle.
Hi guys,
Those who are troubled with khatkhat noise from the cone set and play.
Insist on changing the balls only of the top and bottom bearings of cone set. Yesterday, SVC guy did this under TVS engineer's supervision and it has eliminated the khatkhat noise which came while applying brakes and going through potholes.
There should be no need to change the whole cone set (I was quoted Rs. 280 for Cone set and Rs. 150 for the labor, by SK TVS, Mayapuri

).
This has minimized handle wobbling to an extent.
Hope this helps...
